Kelly is amazing. She somehow makes Brazilian waxes bearable, and does an exceptionally thorough job. She’s also super fast, and very friendly!

I would otherwise give this place a high rating because its manicurists are great. The problem is the owners. I’ve tried going back repeatedly for different services because I live close by and because the space is nice. And every time I go back, the owners are rude, not helpful, snooty, and dismissive. They’re horrible to their staff and their costumers. For such high prices, you’d think that they would learn to be appreciative of their clientele. Recently, one of the owners was standing behind the Laura Mercier makeup counter touching up her face in the mirror. When I tried to ask her a questions, she ignored me. I asked again thinking she didn’t hear me. She then turned to me and said, «ask someone else. I’m not working.» It just makes for an unpleasant experience.

Hands down, the best facial in New Orleans. Estheticians are thorough and don’t try to up-​sell you or convince you to purchase products sold in the store. They perform effective facials (Clairsonic cleansing, extractions, etc) that are incredibly relaxing (so much massage!). I’ve had three or four facials there (and several at other spas in the city), and I am always impressed. It’s my happy place.
The retail part of Bamboo is super chic. White mid century furniture, Bond colognes, Laura Mercier cosmetics, beautiful candles… great retail therapy options that are well-​organized and not at all overwhelming.

I like the products they sell and Kristie (i think its her name) is the best for eyebrows!

I love beauty products. When I walked in, I felt like I was back in Chicago. The space is very modern with clean lines and unlike the other stores on Magazine St.
There were a lot of great products — Bond NYC, Laura Mericer, as well as many men’s products as well. They were having a great sale, I think. The sign said 50% off but since no prices were listed, it is really hard to say.
