This would be 1 star because of the food but the server was sweet, which is the only reason it got a bump to 3 stars. I ordered the«seafood» omelet which consisted of 1 piece of crawfish and some unclean(not deveined) shrimp. After 5 days in NOLA and after eating in other divey places, this was the only place that didn’t serve fresh shrimp. The only 1 piece of okay looking shrimp tasted fishy and was gritty. Weird. I’m sad this was my last meal in NOLA and we only came here because Jimmy J’s, next door, had a long wait and we had a plane to catch. For an awesome breakfast, in NOLA, try Mother’s, Ruby Slipper, or Commerce.

Great food. Bottomless bloody Mary’s? Awesome! Thank you Pamela. Pamela was awesome. Kept our bloody Mary’s full and checked in with us frequently. My bloody Mary was flavorful with all types of vegetables in it, topped off with the crawdad. Breakfast was awesome. Try the alligator omelette.

During our trip to NOLA we stopped by here for breakfast one day. Very casual dive-y spot. Good, friendly service. Had the basic breakfast dishes so nothing extraordinary to write home about, but it was all quite satisfactory.

Blood mary=nice granish… but no spice or flavor nor alcohol. Tasted like watery tomato juice. Food… ehhh. Subpar for how well raved it is. Poboy was barely warm. I complained about my bloody mary and they replaced it with a Hurricane… again no flavor, tasted like watered down kool aid. Service was terrible. Only time she was prompt was asking if we were ready to pay. So if you like to pay for over priced food and drinks that will leave you disappointed i recommend this place, otherwise stay clear.

After a night of drunkeness on Bourbon Street a girl needs a good place for breakfast to soak up the alcohol… well look no further than Daisy Dukes! Actually we had food delivered our first night there however thanks to 1 too many daiquiris and shots I was unable to partake of the pizza and shrimp po boy. Fast forward to breakfast… we were going to walk down to the Carondelet Street location however the concierge at the hotel told us about this one a few blocks closer. First off it’s on a one way street that is under construction add to that, at 9:30 in the morning there was no OPEN sign illuminated leading me to think it was closed. Good thing I didn’t turn around or I would have missed the deliciousness of this place! I ordered the 2 Eggs Served Your Way with 2 sausage patties and a biscuit on day 1… yes it was that good we went back the following morning! The sausage patties were good and tasty, the spices were spot on and LAWD that biscuit reminded me of my grandmother’s. Slap some butter and jelly on that thing and you’ll be humming and dancing in your seat in no time… TRUSTME! They give hearty portions and unfortunately I couldn’t finish my entire meal but it didn’t stop me from trying. Day 2 I ordered the(3) pancakes with a side of sausage. Those pancakes were fluffy and buttery and the sausage was as delicious as the day before. Again, the portions were large and I couldn’t finish it all but I’m a glutton for punishment so I did make it almost halfway through my pancakes before I started nibbling on my friend’s biscuits. I wanted to go back and try the crawfish but didn’t make however, I did order delivery on my last day in town. half catfish po boy and a side of gumbo… first off, why is gumbo a side!!! Am I mad… hell no… I enjoyed every drop and that po boy… no words! Needless to say when I visit the city again I will definitely return for another tasty meal!

We came here to get out of the rain and I had no idea what to get. The waitress suggested the gumbo and it was right on the spot. Very spicy and flavorful. My husband ordered the shrimp poboy and fried green tomatoes. I didn’t try the poboy but he did say it was good. I tried the fried green tomatoes and they were okay, but the gumbo though!

I don’t understand how this restaurant has so many stars. My friends and I ate here this past weekend and found the food to be absolutely disgusting. With so many good places to grab food I would never recommend someone visit this establishment. The servers and wait staff were great and they even took my meal after the receipt but that alone is not enough to give this restaurant more than one star. I ordered the shrimp poboy with french fries. The shrimp was not fresh and the fries were just OK. My friends had the breakfast plates… one with fried steak and the other with pork chops and both weren’t satisfying. We did not finish our meals and will not return.

Let’s just say that it was 10:30pm and we were hungry for food after our flight so we came here. This place is a 24hr sports bar. Menu was okay, food was meh, service was so nice. If you can get there before 9:30am, breakfast is only $ 4.99.

Not going to lie. I was crazy hungover when we came here to eat breakfast on New Year’s Day. Because of the holiday the place was so crowded as well. We were able to find a table after some nice Oklahoma fans left. The sugar bowl was also happening so that explains the split between Olé Miss and Oklahoma fans that crowded the entire restaurant. The family ordered bloody Mary’s but since I am not a fan of tomato juice, I ordered a coffee to drink. Sugar, artificial sweeteners, and creamer were all provided on the table as well as assorted jellies and butter packets. I stayed simple and ordered the fried shrimp and french fries for brunch. This also came with a biscuit. The actual shrimp was okay, but the french fries were seasoned with a lovely Cajun seasoning. The best part about the entire meal was that deliciously fluffy biscuit. I smeared it with butter and jelly and it was just spectacular. The service was OK but it was pretty packed. I only say that because I asked for a refill of coffee twice and never got it. The family was able to get to-go cups on the bottomless bloody Mary’s though so they were very happy. I probably would not go out of my way to visit again, but it was cool for such short notice on getting brunch, and beginning to cure my hangover.

I’m so torn because the food was ok. We went late at night, and ordered Bloody Mary’s(not bad). My fried fish was excellent. My problem was our server — the guy who Mario G. photographed, Gabriel. Worst server ever. I mean worst. I don’t think he’s an actual server. I hope not. He never gave us menus, he took over 45 minutes to take our DRINK order. Everyone else around us who sat after us was leaving while we were just getting our drinks. So, 3.5÷5 for food. 1⁄5 for service. 3 overall.

Like a lot of other folks, we came here when the line for Jimmy J’s was just too long. This line was moving much quicker and our party of 7 was soon seated. Now the menu was not nearly as interesting as the menu for Jimmy J’s, but they do have your standard breakfast fare. Food came out promptly and was pretty average. Prices were reasonable. I think the groups favorite part was the bottomless bloody Mary’s. Not a bad place to go if you are looking for something quick and traditional. I was the only one of the group looking for something a little more unique, and do regret that we didn’t just wait for Jimmy J’s.

After being seated, it took 25 minutes for someone to come to take my order, only to find out they were out of several menu items… I left.

Food was pretty standard, service was sub par. I ate here twice during my trip to NOLA. During the first visit the waitress was totally inattentive and cold. Second time the waitress was kind and accommodating. I know this place gets pretty busy but they should try to make it a pleasant experience for everyone because we are the ones spending money. I recommend this place if it’s very late and you need a quick bite. Other than that you can find other places serving deep fried Louisiana style food. Things I had: Seafood omelet 2⁄5 Chicken philly 4⁄5

Aka drunk kids’ friend — they’re open 24⁄7 and are a few blocks down from Bourbon. Vegetarians and pescatarians — yes! You have options, and are they filling. If the sides aren’t appealing or aren’t veggie-friendly, then you can switch it up and suggest something else, like french fries. The servers are friendly and accommodating. A wild veggie po’boy appeared in NOLA, right here.

I ordered a green tomato po’ boy. It was very good. The onion rings were also excellent. The atmosphere was relaxed and the waitress and waiter were attentive. At the end of my meal I saw something moving along he floor. It was a rather large mouse/rat. The door was always open so it probably just came in. The place was clean.

So when you are drunk you want something delicious to eat and you don’t know where a Roberto’s is you ask a local. We talked to a security guard at a previous bar to get some ideas. He said you have to go to Daisy Dukes. We took his advice and ran over to DD to grab some grub. We walked right in and were seated. We took a minute to look at the menus and figure out what we wanted. Everyone got something a little different. There were some breakfast items like grits, pancakes, and toast, there were also some bar foods like chili cheese fries and WANGS. Everything was great. I ordered the chicken fried steak and lemon pepper WANGS. My God. They were the best I’ve ever had. The gravy on the steak was thick and flavorful, while the chicken was crisp and delicious. The lemon pepper WANGS were to die for. I only order 5 but should have done 10! The best dry seasoned WANGS ever! They weren’t oily like some places, or only semi lemony like others. They were a burst of delicious lemon and pepper. I also tried some of the chili cheese fries, good but not great, but they loaded the plate for you. Daisy Dukes was on of my favorite finds in NOLA.

Came here when Jimmy J’s was too crowded next door. It took a while to get seated but there were 5 of us and they were busy so it’s understandable. I got the Cajun omelette with fruit(all they had was banana that day but it was ok for me) which was good. I also had coffee. It’s your basic diner/breakfast/lunch place so not really much to write home about but it’s good. They have quite a few vegetarian variations of famous Cajun dishes, such as po’boys, which is cool. The service was good and I like all the jazz paintings on the wall. The Blood Marys are a work of art with a crawfish and all! It’s a decent option if you need a hearty breakfast/lunch.

Ended up here for brunch after realizing Jimmy J’s was beyond crowded. Put our name down here for 5, and after about 30 minutes got the room to sit down. Having had enough of some of the fried stuff, decided on the Blackened Fish Platter($ 17.50) and the endless bloody marys($ 8). Bloody Mary came out first with their signature hanging crawfish, a shit-ton of olives, and a celery stick. Once I got the other stuff out of the way, the drink was delicious, more kick with the hot sauce than any joint in the Northeast. Refills come without all the extras thankfully. Dish came out and was little disappointed in the fish. Didn’t seem grilled enough and the seasoning overpowered the meal. Biscuit was very good, especially with the gumbo. Wasn’t a fan of the fried green tomatoes. Overall more on the expensive side as opposed to some other places, though good specials if you want to have different things. Would go again for the bloody marys.

Come on baby… Kick them daisies Look at them girls with the Daisy dukes on I want ya to Look at them girls with the Daisy dukes on Everybody Look at them girls with the Daisy dukes on Anyone remember that song? Just me? Fair enough. I stopped in here to sample the Bloody Mary because of Unilocal’s Bloody Mary challenge. I really love the Bloody here and I have since I first tried one at a Unilocal event a few years ago. I love that this drink comes in a big glass mug and is garnished with lemon, lime, olives, a celery stalk and a crawfish. No, it’s not crawfish season. No, I do not want to know where this single crawfish came from. Their Bloody is pretty classic with just enough spice and more tomato flavor than booze flavor(I don’t like it when the ratio is off). I didn’t try the food on this stop, but people around me did and it looked fantastic, so I will definitely be back to try a yummy breakfast or burger!

We needed a quick brunch spot on a Sunday morning before heading to the airport. All other places in the area were long waits, but when we arrived at Daisy Dukes our little party of two was seated almost immediately in the sweetest little front window nook. I got a little concerned that no wait staff talked to us for almost 10 minutes after being seated, but once they realized the error, our server was apologetic and very attentive. I got a Bloody Mary because they had a checkin special — $ 6 unlimited refills. The drink itself was standard and totally fine. It’s garnishes included celery, green olives, pickled okra AND a crawfish, all which scored it extra points for me. What’s more, I got to take a to-go Bloody Mary with me! Our food was basic but solid. I had a creole omelette and my travel buddy had chicken tenders. The best part of my meal was the warm biscuit on the side. Both meals were enormous and more than we could finish. If I ever make it back to this place I’d probably split a plate. This place doesn’t have some of the fancier New Orleans brunch specialities that other spots have, but what it does offer is totally satisfactory. And they’re open 24⁄7 so now I always know if I’m starving and can’t find something open, Daisy Dukes will take care of me.
