This place is great. Little hole in the wall with great Jazz and that classic New Orleans sound. This isn’t classy. This is down and dirty 20’s style.

A nice place to stop in. We were drawn in by the live jazz music. Then stayed because of their quality. They asked people where they were from and then played songs that were inspired by their answers. Not too busy, which made it much more intimate. Great service by the sweet bartender. But we had to dip out once the set was over for the jazz musicians as they ended around midnight.

This was a neat place we passed on the way between Bloody Mary tasting spots. Not busy, with a friendly bartender and house band along with a neat out of the way, dimly lit, back room with chairs. If you need a place that’s more laid back and want to get away from wall to wall people make sure this place is on your list.

This is such a great little spot! While it isn’t the fanciest place in the world, it’s a really nice place to stop in, listen to some music and have a drink or two. The place was pretty dead when we stopped in on Friday night, but the bartender was friendly and the band was good. The setup of the place is very odd– the band is located right next to the door, there is a small seating area across the from the band and then there’s the bar. Everything is kind of squeezed in, but for what it is, it’s a pretty good place. This bar does serve Lucid«absinthe» and a few basic beers like High Life and stuff like that. There’s a weird, dark seating area in the back that is kind of away from everything. I think vampires have their meetings back there or something. All in all this place is a good time, and while it’s not as «hopping» as some other music venues, it’s worth checking out if you are in the neighborhood.

Music was really good but the drinks are expensive. Why would a 12oz bottle of beer be $ 7? I would have stayed longer and spent more money if it weren’t for this.

Why anyone would hang out at the hotel bar of the Sheraton when this place is across the street is a mystery to me. Good live music, drinks priced like they accompany decent music(8 dollar cocktails). Very quiet at 8 on a Thursday. In town for a conference. Good place to not see fellow conference attendees, at least so far.

Go here to chill and listen to some cool cover bands. The crowds are sparse but this leaves you, the patron, with a comfortable space to vibe out on the music. No cover charge which is a rarity in NOLA for live music venues.

No cover charge, but recommend that there is a one drink per person per set minimum. Rather dead the night we were there. Only two other couples. Drinks were fair, beer very cold. Monty Banks was performing, and he was pretty good.

Very small dark jazz bar. The music and service were great! However, if you don’t handle smoke very well this may not be the place for you. They did keep the doors open to help air out the lingering smoke though.
