Typical bar food with an upscale twist. All of our dishes were well seasoned. However if you think it is a restaurant it is not. It is more a bar that happens to serve food. Had it not been lunchtime, kids would definitely not be acceptable attendees.

Beer was good, bartender(Prince Eric) was even better(and helpful giving us tour guide suggestions!). Came here to wait for our ghost tour, and was pleasantly surprised.

Beer was good. The Rye had some really good toastiness to it. Unfortunately it was served in two mugs fresh from the dish washer. When we complained, we were told that was all that was available. The frog legs were really tasty. The shrimp poboy didn’t have any dressing on it — no mayo or anything. The waiter forgot out kid’s grilled cheese sandwich order. And then there’s the buzzing in the speakers from the sound stage upstairs. Not just a little bit of zing — a loud buzzing whenever there isn’t an artist playing. Please tell me this city has more to offer.

We stopped here for lunch, even with the mixed reviews. We were seated upstairs and opted to share a few things. We ordered the brisket fries which were exactly how they sound – super tender, flavorful brisket with cheese on crispy fries. So good. We also ordered the duck bombs and they were delicious. We did a flight of four beers and I loved the passion fruit one, it was not too sweet and very refreshing.

The place to drink local brews! Tried a flight of beers. Sundays the place is a very chill place to hang in a street full of tourist. Did not eat, but all the food we saw was amazing!

Beer list was decent, food was decent, outside seating was really nice. Waitress sucked, but after sitting there for thirty minutes the bartender finally came out and took care of the tables that the waitress was ignoring. Didn’t get enough different food to really judge, just had a shrimp poboy which was pretty good. The jax fest beer was quite good.

Had a hard time finding this place, the signs seemed to indicate it was in the shopping center after walking through the shopping center we gave up and started to walk toward Jackson Square, we found the Brewery at the end of the building past the shopping center. We had a seat at the bar and found the employees very friendly. We had eaten prior to finding this place so we ordered a flight of beers. The flight(or sampler) was awesome. We enjoyed the conversation with the bartender and other staff. The next day we came back for more beer and the brisket nachos. The Nachos were fantastic. We again had great conversation, food and beer. We would definitely recommend you try this place out. They have the best selection of draft beers in the French Quarter. Cara was there every timw we visited and she made us feel important and shared lots of information with is about the area.

My friend and I stopped by here for a quick beer in the middle of the afternoon on a Monday. The place was pretty empty so we went to the upstairs bar. There were maybe 2 other pairs of people at the bar when we initially sat down. The bartender was helping someone out and then came over to us. We asked for a drink menu and she brought us a cocktail one. We asked if she had a beer one and she said she’d bring one over in a second. In this time frame, I’d guess maybe 2 more pairs of people joined the bar. This bartender was helping out one couple for what seemed like forever. As in she took their drink orders, made their drinks, brought out their tab, took their money, and brought out their change. All in one sitting. While all the other groups of people were sitting there waiting. She kept saying things like«Ok I’m gonna help these ladies first, then you guys, then those gentlemen! I’ll be right with you!» even though she could have easily multi-tasked instead of spending all her time with one couple. Finally she got back to us and asked what we wanted. I repeated«Can we see a beer menu?» and she goes«Oh right!» and goes to grab one while again trying to reassure the other groups of people that she’d be right with them. She also proceeded to break a couple glasses when she opened up the cash register and we heard her mention that those were the 4th glasses she’d broken that day. Not sure if it was normal for there to just be 1 bartender but considering the amount of people there were compared to a busier night, she seemed really flustered and disorganized. The beer itself, the sugarcane wheat, tasted like water so overall… this place was absolutely a «meh» to me.

Well I guess this place has a problem with ignoring people. My boyfriend and I walked in and waited to be seated for 10 mins. At no point did anyone even acknowledge that we were there. The only people in the place were the people sitting at the bar so it wasn’t like it was super busy. The only reason we came back was for the Ghost Adventures Walking Tour, but even having forced to go back, I refused to give them my business.

Want to see live music in a pretty legit that isn’t super crowded? Though the music can be somewhat… not great… I thoroughly enjoy coming here, especially during the weekdays when they have awesome happy hour. When I first came here, they had a special; if I bought a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich, I’d get a beer for free. Great combo and deal! This is usually the first place or last place I go to if I’m visiting the French Quarter with friends or family. Though the only complaint I do have is because this is in the French Quarter, things aren’t cheap, though it does feel dive-ish.

Was walking down the French Quarter and saw this walk up bar area attached to Jackson Brewery. They served their beers and two cocktails, a hurricane and a cranberry vodka. I opted for the latter and we got two drinks for $ 16. I watched her make mine: at no time did she put vodka in the cup. I called her out on it and she said she did. I tasted it and immediately knew all it was was cranberry juice. I tried to get her to taste it but it was a lost cause. No wonder people don’t like this place.

My wife and I were on a weekend vacation in New Orleans and we saw the huge Jackson sign while walking along the river. Gotta try brewpub beers whenever there is a chance. I got a beer and we sat along the Mississippi and saw a couple cool steam boats. It was really relaxing and the staff was great. Really good beer and a fun place to hang out outside.

This bar was not my cup of tea. And it almost wasn’t my pint of beer, either. Walking down Decatur, as it happens in NOLA, a bouncer-man yelled to our group to come inside and have a beer. Two of us happen to be nutty about the suds, so we decided to head in and get some brews to go. And, as what so typically happens in my life, the bartender ignored me. He was too busy having a never-ending flirt-fest with someone else at the bar. Finally, I walked back up to the bouncer-man and said, «Welp! I *was* going to order a beer, but the bartender is too busy flirting.» Bouncer-man replied with an appalled«What? No!» and walked me back inside. He then told a new bartender who had just started his shift to take care of me right that instant. So that was helpful, and the look of «but I didn’t do anything wrong!» on flirty-bartender’s face was golden. It shouldn’t have needed to get to that point, though. You see someone over the drinking age staring you down? You see them holding a credit card and willing to fork over their money? Serve them, damn it! Beers were pretty mediocre over all, but I hear their rooftop area is nice. Did not bother walking up there. Maybe, if I return to NOLA in the future, I’ll take a look. Maybe.

I wish this place didn’t ignore my friend when she tried to order. I wish my beers were better. Since this place is called Jackson Brewery Bistro Bar, I wish I had beers had beers of their own available. If they are still brewing their own beers, I somehow missed that. I also wish that I spent some more time upstairs. I went up to use the bathroom and loved the whole setup with the couches, stage and TV. I pictured myself lounging on a couch while sipping a beer, watching a game and listening to live music. Maybe this place wasn’t that great. Maybe I didn’t give them enough of a chance. Either way, my total experience could have been better.

Got a flight of Louisianan beer to taste up on the top level and compare to what we are spoiled with on the west coast. We didn’t get any food, just the beer. It was A-OK, nothing that spectacular. Again, we are spoiled in CA. The place has great views of the river, spacious seating and great indie music playing throughout. We came in the early afternoon and it was DEAD. 1 other couple was there eating when we walked in. The only downside is when you step out on the patio to enjoy the views of the Mississippi River, there is an abundance of homeless people yelling quite vulgar things to those walking past and it’s loud. Takes away from the experience. In hindsight we’d probably pass on it!

This place is clean, near the central corridor and has an AMAZING seating area upstairs on the couches by the huge TV’s. We only had beers and sat on the couches, but the was enough for our poor feet. Thank you for a resting place, maybe next time, we’ll stay for the food.

If you’re looking for a spot to check out local Louisiana beer, this is the place for you. Large bar area with TVs showing sports. Tons of sports fans watching said TVs. The beer menu is pretty big considering most, if not all, are local brews. The bartenders will let you taste before you buy and I highly suggest you take advantage of that. I tried a beer that had«cane sugar» in the description and I was intrigued so I tried it… Not impressed. I ultimately went with a different beer(the name is slipping my mind) and it was pretty good. Prices are fair. Great place to watch football.

The food and drinks are good, however we went for brunch on a Sunday and it took way too long to get our food and they were not busy. Our waiter was slow and non existent half the time. The food was good when we finally got it but we were very close to walking out. On the positive side– Definitely recommend stopping in to grab a «Cool Cucumber». Best drink I had in Nola.

Service was super slow, but putting that aside, the bloody Mary I had here was on point and that cheese and tasty meats platter was amazing! I stopped in here for breakfast(well, I was just getting up so…) with some friends while we waiting for another friend to join us for lunch. I was starving, so we got a little something to share. We were all very pleased with what we got– all the meats were delicious, especially the pork belly with a bit of pepper jam and the sausage. On a Thursday around noon, there were a few people inside, but it was pretty empty. I would return if I happened by, but I wouldn’t go out of my way.
