we went there tonight to try the crepes. we walked in and the place smells. appearance is very unclean, dirty and not well kept. not sure how they are able to keep a food license. the food maybe rated good here but when we walked in the smell turned us right around.

Great crepes! You can pretty much customize it to whatever you’re in the mood for. The crêpe is tender, not rubbery like some others I’ve tried. It has good flavor and can withstand savory or sweet accompaniments. Nice job. I would recommend this place for crepes.

I usually come here to get a crêpe late at night when I’m craving and never really get disappointed. Tonight was the first night ever coming past 12, as their hours say they open til 4am on a Saturday night. they must’ve changed it because I went inside stood there for 15 mins waiting for someone to take my order and when the worker came inside from I don’t know where he notified us that they’ve just closed, which was around 2:20? So I don’t know about that one… I just left disappointed for driving 20 mins to get here to find out their hours apparently aren’t their real hours.

Never again. The two workers were 30 minutes late to open. Once we could finally go in, they were still not fully prepared. They slowly made one crêpe at a time. Then, we started eating our crepes and found multiple hairs in them. My sister found eight pieces of hair in her one crêpe. When I told them, they only offered to make them again, as if I would want another hair crêpe.

Visited this uptown location for a late night treat and it was very simple and nice. The venue has a few outdoor tables but it’s more meant for pick up or eat while standing/walking. The taste was decent and meal was filling. I will come back.

Worst service I have ever experienced. Waited in line for 45 min and no one took my order despite taking a second order from someone who had ordered 30 min before me. Extremely disappointed. I was just hungry. I just wanted food. You disappointed.

Holy taste buds this place is amazing! Thank goodness it is on nolafood and couchster for the lazy crêpe lover in me. I never even knew I liked crepes until this place and it has quickly become our Sunday night ritual with The Walking Dead. I HIGHLY recommend the chicken cordon blue; I substitute Swiss cheese instead of cheddar, add tomatoes and extra honey Dijon. Any and all of their dessert crepes are rich and delicious. Worth every calorie!

After reading the reviews for this place at the Arts events in Palmer’s Park, I was committed to giving it a try. I’d been thinking about Nutella and bananas all month waiting for THAT last weekend. Wouldn’t you know it – the day before Facebook blows up with reports about how bad Nutella is for you. Whatever. I refused to read it so that I could have one more day of bliss. Totally worth it!

It’s been awhile since I last had a crêpe here and today I tried the Monte Cristo. It was amazing! The crêpe itself was huge and they are always generous with portion size. I really liked the consistency /texture of the crêpe exterior which means their batter mixture is on point. The Monte Cristo has sliced ham, chicken, cheddar cheese, and dijon mustard. I can see why this is such a popular crêpe, it is simple but outrageously delicious. The amount of food you get for around $ 8 is impressive. The ingredient ratio was very balanced and I loved the kick from the dijon mustard. I have to say the customer service was definitley better than my last experience but there were different people working this time and it was a slow Sunday evening. This is a great place to grab a quick bite but like other Unilocalers have noted, it’s swarming with drunk college students on the weekends so just be aware of that. I only eat here occasionally because a lot of their savory crepes are very indulgent but overall it’s a fantastic place to grab a crêpe on the cheap.

delicious and healthy and quick. a bit overpriced given the evident low overhead — no seating, no restroom, a single bench for a waiting area, and dingy and dark.

This place is a great hole-in-the-wall type environment. It stays open long enough to relieve some late night cravings. I enjoy going here with some good company because it just fuels good conversation. The place is incredibly small and more of an in and out stop but the inside is simply decorated, somewhat rustic and homemade. The staff is kind and some workers really have a personal style when creating the crepes. It’s a show then dessert. They split the menu into sweet and savory though I usually stick to sweet. If you prefer sweet, I definitely recommend ice cream(+$ 2) though ask if you can have it in a separate cup to avoid the crêpe from becoming soggy. When the place is busy, it usually takes a little while though because they only have a few stations and workers.

This is literally a little hole in the wall. It is so delicious. The staff was friendly and fun with good tips about the menu. I wanted a sweet and savory but stuck with the florentine chicken. A perfect lunch.

I have only been to the storefront, I have not had the opportunity to try service from the food truck. This is not the type of place to go in and eat, it is TINY, having just enough room for the staff and to cook. Due to their lease, they are not allowed to sell anything the Boot sells, which implies to me the Boot owns the entire building. The Boot is evidently the place to go for college students as this building is right next to Tulane University, so if you go to Crepes a la Cart on a weekend evening, you can expect to brush shoulders with college students. Some of whom are very drunk college students. This review is just for Crepes a la Cart. I have been here on several occasions(all revolving on the fact that I was in the area, mainly doing things on the Tulane campus). The savory crepes are a full meal unto themselves. For example, the spanish crêpe I had this morning had scrambled eggs, spinach, mushrooms, onions, salsa and mozzarella cheese. I was full halfway through, and remained quite full for awhile. The sweet crepes are a desert that are so yummy, you will enjoy the after taste for as long as it lasts. I have had the nutella and banana crêpe, and I am in love. The crepes are hot, fresh and quite delicious. I am so very glad that I do not live nearby, as I would be a roly-poly. They do only accept cash, so please be aware of that.

I sometimes have random cravings for crepes during the night and a quick Unilocal search directed me to Crepes a la Cart. Decided to give this place a try. This place is a small short on the corner which can easily be missed. They have a large selection of crepes which range from savory to sweet. I decided to order the Greek. The Greek: Really delicious and tons of meat and sauce. The crêpe is pretty big in size and the texture of the crêpe was perfect(crispy edges with chewy center) Overall, the service is pretty good and they take credit cards. Only minus is that they always run out of ingredients especially strawberries and bananas. I understand that the shop is small so it’s hard to stock up on ingredients which is a bummer. Still a great shop and I like that they are open late. They also have $ 3 black and gold(nutella + banana) crêpe on Sundays to support the Saints!

Had the nutella crêpe from here, and it was a little disappointing. Loaded on too much nutella, and I might as well have just been eating a jar of nutella. A better balance would have been nice.

A decent place to get a little meal. I had a turkey, tomato and mozzarella crêpe that was good for a light dinner, and a Nutella strawberry dessert crêpe. Recently they got into some trouble with Tulane University for charging automatic tips. Oops!

Very very small place and it is very hot in there! I personally think this place is over-hyped but I recommend the savory crepes over the sweet ones! Also, WARNING, crepes make you very thirsty The location is very small and does not seem very clean, and it is next to a bar so it is most likely going to be loud by the entrance of this place

So, I was actually on my way to Earth Day Festival 2015 to see them at their food cart. But, the weather didn’t permit, and the festival was cancelled. So, I decided to head into their main building. For one thing, the place is extremely small, the inside would probably be about the size of a regular bathroom. Parking is somewhat difficult regardless of the fact that I came at around 10:30AM. The fragrance was extremely aromatic the moment I walked in, the smell of fresh waffle cones seemed to hit me first. So, the first thing I ordered was the strawberry shortcake crêpe which I’ll break down for you. Crêpe(Alone): The crêpe itself was actually really soft, kind of crisp, but not hard around the edges. Again, the crêpe reminds me of a waffle cone in that it has the exact same smell, but with a somewhat lighter, sweeter taste. It’s actually pretty remarkable whenever you actually go in for a bite! The Filling: A majority of the dessert crepes have a light layer of powdered sugar placed on top of the fillings after everything is added into them. With that being said, the strawberry shortcake crêpe actually had bits and pieces of fresh strawberry slices placed into it, and the shortcake was later placed on top. What I really enjoyed about the place is that they didn’t slack on the shortcake. Overall, the place is kind of tiny, but it’s in a neighborhood and has a sign that’s extremely noticeable! The crêpe was delicious, but I wouldn’t make it an every day thing, just something as a nice treat! Especially on a rainy day!

I stopped here on a whim as I hadn’t eaten dinner and blowing my calories for the day on a sweet crêpe sounded like a great idea. The shop is very small and you’ll likely have to wait outside for your order. I kept it simple and got a banana/Nutella sweet crêpe. The crêpe was actually dyed green for St. Patrick’s day which was a fun touch. All the crepes are packed to go and you get it in a small cone and sleeve almost like an ice cream cone. It certainly wasn’t the best crêpe I’ve ever eaten, but the price and convenience are hard to beat. I would definitely return if I was in the area.

CRÊPES À LACARTETAKE-OUTTAKEAWAYS: 1. Outstanding price value. Almost all savory crêpes are under $ 8, and are about a pound of food. 2. Excellent quality ingredients. The Monte Cristo is their best seller and includes deli sliced honey ham, chopped chicken breast, grated cheddar cheese and I substitute their decademt hollandaise for the Dijon. This is a much more satisfying post-workout source of protein & carbs than Muscle Milk! 3. It’s fast. I’ve never had to wait more than 5 – 10 minutes once I’ve ordered. And there’s ample outside seating in front of «The Boot». 4. Unbelieveably, it’s the only stand-alone Crêperie in the New Orleans area. In Paris such kiosks are as prevalent as sno-ball stands.

During my first year of University, a close friend and I were obsessed with crepes that we had talked about owning our own creperie off campus for additional income. Unfortunately, we never took the plan off paper and here we are buying crepes rather than making it. Anyway, the purpose of the story is that Crepes a la Cart is the image of what we had in mind. A rented out small space for students, busy professionals, and the passer by to quickly pop in and have enough options between savory and sweet to satisfy most cravings. All crepes are packaged as a quick wrap so that customers can ditch the plate and fork. My tastes tend to lean toward savory with Crêpe a la Montagne or a Simple egg and cheese. But on the rare occasion I get a craving for banana foster, Cookie Spread, or French Twist. I can be quite flexible with what I eat, but I tend to know what I am craving and this place is a one stop shop. So with what seems like a 5 star review where does this place lose the one star? Customer service. I feel like a broken record in most my reviews, NOLA has some great food but great service is a rarity. So where does service lack here? I have walked in here with music blaring and asked to order in which my order ends up being wrong, the people behind the counter tend to be awesome but tend to be on the forgetful side, and lastly, requesting a bag option for when you are on the go doesn’t really register all too well. With all that said, the positive outweighs the negative and you should drop by their location off broadway and enjoy a delicious crêpe.

I finally got a chance to visit this place! All the years I have gone to school right next door to here and I’ve never gotten a chance to try it out. A great go to place if you are craving good crepes. They have all sorts of crepes such as the breakfast crepes which are served all day, savory crepes, which include chicken Florentine, turkey club, etc. My favorite would have to be the sweet crepes. My go to sweet crêpe is definitely the crêpe a la chocolate which has nutella! YES. This place would be five stars if they just had indoor seating and expanded their place a bit. But overall, awesome place.

The crepes here were pretty decent. I’m not a crêpe person, but my friends seemed to enjoy theirs. I mean. They did drive all the way here. The crepes selection was pretty vast to my surprise. My friend had the pumpkin crêpe. That thing was pretty good as I took a sampling. His friend had something more simple: butter, sugar, and pecans. It was pretty tasty, but I had the very bottom half so it was full of pecans. There was also a menu for other munchies as well. And btw, the coffee they serve is something very simple, nothing too unique. I asked for an iced coffee, and they literally gave me a Folgers(?) cup with coffee and ice in it. Yup. Very plain indeed. There was also a record/hipster store that has records, DVDs, CDs, body jewelry, random T-shirts, and other knick knacks. Think of this store as a Hot Topic with a thrift store vibe to it? Anyway… You won’t miss the staircase. It’s super colorful enough to not miss. Take a browse after or even during your crêpe snack.

As with all things nutella, banana nutella crepes are delicious! I must be honest, i have not tried any other crêpe. I want to, but… then, i think about banana surrounded by nutella and enveloped in spongy crêpe. Yum! The place is located on Tulane’s campus more or less. It has a very college vibe. There are a few chairs outside but otherwise no seating.

Crepes a la Cart is the exact opposite in ambiance to the amour of my life, Crêpe Nanou, but in terms of delicious, they’re pretty high up there for me! It’s like Crêpe Nanou’s offbeat nephew who shuns the family business to sell on the streets, cash only, so he doesn’t have to report his taxes. The 4th star is because I love Crepes a la Cart at street festivals! It’s a big delicious you can walk around and nosh on. I love watching them make the crepes on their magical flat crêpe thingie. I sometimes dream of owning my own flat crêpe thingie to make delicious semi-sweet crepes on, but then I say screw that, and go here! This was my first time hitting up the actual stand next to The Boot on Broadway. I think the reason I like the festival too is because there are usually only 4 options. I was a tad overwhelmed by the delightful possibilities in this teeny tiny shop. If I was claustrophobic, one other person in there would’ve had me freakin’. I ordered the Chicken Florentine with Dill & Chive Sauce. I thought one of the staff might’ve had an issue with me or a personal problem when he started yelling MANGO ’cause I was the only one in there… but then the other guy started yelling MANGO too. I noticed a young man right outside the door, and asked the first mango man if he’d like me to get his attention. A good investment might be an intercom system from inside to outside. I totally forgot to watch these crêpe masters make my crêpe though I love that one of them rocked these retro motor goggles like his master plan was to craft a hot air balloon out of crepes. I was handed my delicious crêpe and went on my way! Just a note. I usually get something with bacon. While my crêpe was fantastically delicious, something crunchy would’ve mixed up the texture for me! I cannot wait to try a sweet crêpe!
