Dead-center of so-so, this gorgeous restaurant and bar serves as the in-house eatery and watering hole for the beautifully refurbished Four Points Sheraton hotel on the corner of Bourbon and Toulouse Streets, and also offers their room service. It isn’t going to be one of the highlights of your trip, abd the only reasons you’d patronize it might include being too tired, hung-over or physically-incapable of walking or riding half a block or more in any direction, but those things do occur in NOLA, and Café Opera will do in a pinch. I see here on Unilocal!that it bills itself as Cajun/Creole, but this is a mild imitation of either. The restaurant is clearly tourist-adjusted American with a smattering of drabbed-down French, adjusted for the masses, not the connoisseur or foodie, so don’t be expecting that. We had the food from all angles, restaurant, bar and room service and nothing really stands out. The room service offered a ribeye, cooked perfectly one time, tough, grainy and full of gristle two nights later. The service, however, is excellent. The bar has decent soups, though a bit over-salty, and the house interpretation of the famous Sazerac, while not authentic, is passable. A solid 3-Star experience.

We had a delightful dinner here! Wandered in because it was quiet compared to the noise of bourbon st. We had the lamb that was a special tonight, and we had the fried catfish. Two in our group had salads. The bread pudding was amazing. we were delighted with everything we had. The chef even came out to chat with us about our meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

We had breakfast, lunch, and dinner here, and all our meals were very good. The breakfast omelettes are huge, and tasty. I had a burger for lunch, and it was also very large and good. For dinner I had the chicken garlic pasta which was ok, but the ribeye my wife had was fantastic. The chef even whipped up some hollandaise sauce for the steak even though it wasn’t on the menu! Service was great!

We were staying at the Four Points Sheraton so I went in to have breakfast with my great-grandma and great-aunt and Tori our waitress had a negative attitude. Her facial expressions, sighing, huffing and puffing is NOT how someone behaves in the customer service industry. She set the menus right on top of our silverware. The menus that everyone touches and that get dropped on the floor then rolled her eyes and said«ooookaaaaay» when I asked for clean silverware and explained why twice since the first time she acted as if she didn’t understand English. We told her several times that we were waiting for one more person but she didn’t acknowledge that. I had to ask for her to pour water for the late arrival and she took the menu so the late arrival wouldn’t have it. The late arrival was much later than we expected and showed up at 11:01am right after they put up the closed sign and closed the door. The late arrival explained that she was joining us and not going to order anything after Tori lifted and dropped her shoulders and let out a big sigh. The food was ok and the fruit was fresh. I needed some honey for my oatmeal, but didn’t feel like dealing with Tori’s negative attitude so I didn’t ask for it. My aunt got toast but wasn’t given jam or jelly and when she asked for extra butter it took almost 10 minutes for Tori to bring it. At that point there was only one other guest. There were only 3 other tables in use when we came and the atmosphere was very boring and sad. No one smiled. We weren’t thanked for coming nor welcomed back.

Not at all bad for dinner. Came in on a Saturday night and was immediately seated. The shrimp and grits were awesome, though the grits came out a bit cold. The shrimp and sauce were on point. I highly recommend the onion soup and crab meat beignets. The desserts were good to ok. The bananas beignets were nothing to write home about, but the bread pudding was delicious! Not a bad place if you’re staying at the hotel or wanted a nice sit down dinner without a lot of waiting.

called ahead and spoke to the manager who assured me that the lunch menu would be available on Easter. was also told that 9.95 would get us unlimited mimosas, champagne or bloody Mary’s. when we arrived we were told that they weren’t serving the lunch menu but a limited Easter menu along with their very limited Easter brunch menu. the only cocktail that was unlimited was bloody Mary’s. we left. to their credit they comped us the champagne that we had ordered. won’t hurry back and I can see why they were empty.

This is the café located inside the Four Points Sheraton. As an SPG Platinum, I was given free breakfast here over a 5 day stay. I showed up on the first day and found your traditional American breakfast(scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes) some fruit and grits too… It wasn’t bad, it was just unremarkable. In a place like NOLA with so many awesome options, this place is not somewhere I would go, unless it was free in the hotel I was staying at. They did have a menu and appear to serve lunch and dinner… I just never tried it.
