Everything was homemade and excellent loved the lamb merger sandwich but unfortunately There is a paste shop now. I tried it but it wasn’t anything special, just average. I’m going to miss you. If you do open somewhere else, let me know.

It was fine pub food, nothing special, with a table to seat 18. So that was amazing.

Nothing really stands out here to me but everything is decent to good. The ambiance of this place seems a bit blah and could use more feng shui or something to give it some more character and flow. For the Bywater this joint is alright but I’m not sure it would make it in another part of town without some tweaks. The big draw of this joint is that it offers food later into the night so for that aspect it really shines and provides a much needed service for the area. I really appreciate that they seem to care about using quality local ingredients and putting out good food here but the flavors seemed a bit bland in some dishes for my taste while others seemed to have had a lot of attention to being spiced and flavored well. They could really kick it up by adding more consistent spice, herbs and seasonings to all the dishes to give the food more life but then the flavor explosion might scare away the large Bywater population of fake ass hipsters that infest this area.

Loved the mahon grilled cheese and the fries were really delicious. Salty, crispy, skin-on beauts. The cheese itself was so flavorful!, the bread was good, and it was surprisingly ungreasy. Fast and delicious and filling. I have to admit, I was very pleasantly surprised.

Casual pub food done very very well. We arrived quite late into nola and our host suggested trying out the«golden triangle» that was just a short walk from our house. Having heard that boracchos was open until 4 am we thought this was a safe bet but didn’t expect much. Heading through kajun’s which is a smokey dive bar we wondered into borrachos to be treated by very friendly service. Boraccho’s take great pride in picking quality local ingredients and even list their suppliers so that you know where your food is being sourced from. The owner and servers were all super friendly and happy to come out for a chat. On our first evening we tried the burger and lamb hot dog. The burger was great but the hot dog phenomenal and the chips super tasty all hand cut with the peal still on and excellent seasoning. You could really taste the freshness of the ingredients. Thinking that perhaps we may have been overly tired the first night we ended up heading back another 2 times just to make sure the food really was that tasty … Well it was equally as good. Buffalo wings were also a winner. The only thing I wouldn’t recommend was the potatoe dip which was made with cold chips … It wasn’t bad just probably not what I expected. All in all awesome late night food stop.

Really nice to eat in a place that is open to 4am that is not a diner or a bar, even though it is connected via a courtyard to one. What makes the experience even better is the food is amazing. We started with the homemade chips and then moved on to the Lamb Dog and the burger with Spanish cheddar cheese, mushrooms and house cured bacon. The burger was perfectly cooked and had a taste that blew alway several of the newest«specialty» burger places to open up. The lamb dog was tasty and we didn’t leave anything on the plate, which was hard the the large portions of crispy homemade fries. It was slow when we arrived so the chef came out and talked to us about where he gets so much of his products locally and talk about his dishes and as the place filled up he came out to ask the tables if everything was what they expected. We enjoyed it and will be back many times.

Kudos to the freshness of the ingredients used and the process to make fresh sausages but it just didn’t cut it. Ate the Chicago Dog and it tasted funny — couldn’t put my tongue to the exact off-ness — but I wouldn’t eat it again. Service was really nice though. It’s next to Kajuns Pub, connected via the patio, no smoking.

with all the hype, and beyond the much awaited meal is ordered. hubby went and picked it up. I went online and figured what I wanted, and then he ordered. once home it sure looked good. I got the cheddar burger, he got the porkchetta sandwich. collard greens, fries, and home made potato chips on the side. first bite? wow. huge sandwich, but not much flavor. second bite? I realized my «medium» burger wasn’t cooked hardly at all. what was that? yeah, just scorched on grill and thrown on bun? a tasteless bland bun. do you really think that much bread makes a sandwich? if med is nearly breathing what is rare? still alive? am I disappointed? I am. spent 32.00 here and got something I had to recook. trying to serve tartar? cause thats what I got. the porkchetta was interesting, and THANKGODYACOOKEDTHAT. but all in all? this was a rip off. someone said take it back. sorry, I ordered in for a reason. and its late now, and I’m so not going to walk back and show you what you gave me. instead? I fed it to my dogs. they wolfed it down, but then again? they like raw meat. so sad. was really hoping to have a good meal tonite. hello fridge, I guess I’m cooking. so so so disappointed. oh yeah, I posted the raw burger picture on facebook. some great commentary there, along with another photo of my dogs eating their dinner. disappointed.

The chicken livers were fried to perfection and not overdone. Actually, some of the best I’ve had. The green onion aioli and pepper marmalade complemented them nicely. The St Claude burger was also cooked to a perfect medium rare, and it came with great fries and house made ketchup. My wife and I ate here for the first time yesterday and we were both very impressed. It’s nice to have a place like this in the neighborhood.

Surprisingly fabulous sausage! Full of great flavor with some delicious fries. I’m not a ketchup fan, but apparently theirs is homemade.

I have only had the dogs here and we had the New York dog, and I think the Chicago dog. The problem was with the sausages themselves. I like a hotdog to have some flavor and maybe the night we went they had a bad batch. Who knows, but I do know that neither was really that flavorful and totally bland. The buns were loaded up with good stuff and the condiments were pretty good minus the ketchup it was the sweet kind and I want a nice thick savory ketchup. I’m a hot dog guy, I want the dog to taste good, it was just bland and boring.

Well hello sausage heaven. My name is Sara and I just wanted to say that you are very welcome to stay at Kajuns Pub for as long as you can. Please don’t move too far away as I really do appreciate your love for all things cased meats. And I am so happy that even though you are in the Marigny you will deliver right to my door in the quarter:) Now, my husband did not really like the hot dog, but he is boring and just wanted ketchup. How silly, I know! I however devoured my Southern Dog with fried green tomatoes with that yummy sauce on top. Oh and what on earth do you do to the pimento cheese that makes it so irresistible or those fabulous pickles that come with it? Our table mates were lovely enough to share that goodness with us and I will be ordering it for myself in the near future, extra pickles on mine though. Thanks! Love, Sara

Great Restaurant Adjunct to Kajuns Pub SITREP On the Saturday Night Pub Crawl I enjoyed before my last day in NOLA, I got to come to Kajun’s Pub and enjoy the sausagey goodness of Borracho. THESETUP Kajun’s is a great pub on St. Claude Ave and it was here we stopped first to get some munchies. They have great home cut fries and a delicious fresh ketchup that they make themselves. Our meal also included a delicious fresh cut potato chip ensemble with a creamy sauce, and then deep-fried chicken livers. And then the sausage entrée. We got three(3) sausages that included all the fixens of onions, relish, peppers and the like. These filled us up, including the bratwurst style sausage that was so yum! THELOWDOWN If you ever venture out ot Kajuns Pub, make sure you order the sausages from Borracho!

Best chicken wings EVER! Sweet AND spicy! No dipping required. The rest of the food is damn good(pretty much EVERYTHING is house-made) but I’m thoroughly addicted to those wings… if that was the only thing on the menu, I’d still have to give them 5 stars.

Sweet Sausage Gods Above! This is exactly what St Claude(and my mouth) needed… MEAT. Delicious, delicious meat. If you follow my check-ins, you know I’ve been to Kajun’s Pub few times. Imagine my surprise when a menu appeared on the bar. Not just regular bar grub menu, but a menu filled with the good stuff that I would bike a few miles to eat or suggest for a second date. I’ve ordered the spiced lamb merguez from Borracho not once, not twice, but three times since this joint opened two weeks ago. Lamb? with mint chimichurri? and lemon tzatziki?! How could I not? Everything here is made in-house(right down to the ketchup). I’m not sure what they put in it to make it so effin good. It might be leftover crack? Is there even such a thing as leftover crack? OHGODIT’S SOGOOD. Anyway. Go check it out. They have kick-ass wings and an impressive selection of sausages and dogs. Maybe we could go on a double date, you, me, sausage, and Unilocal
