Stopped in Memorial Day Weekend. Vegan dog was good, pretty sure it was the store bought kind, but with all the extra toppings that come from the restaurant itself, it’s excellent. The two ladies at the counter were professional and courteous.

Dreamy Weenies has the BEST hot dogs in town! Everyone gets a wide variety of choices here, whether you eat meat or are vegetarian. First, you pick the specific weenie you want(lots of meat and lots of vegetarian weenies to pick from), then you pick your meal: hot dog on bun only; includes chips and drink; includes fries and drink; etc. There are lots of free toppings and others that cost extra, such as chili(meat and vegetarian available). There are lots of great sides. The buns are freshly baked. The prices are very reasonable because these hot dogs are huge!!! Try the corn dog! Choose your weenie and it’s fresh dipped in corn batter just for you! There is a very positive vibe and everyone who works at Dreamy Weenies is really nice. I’ve been a regular there for the past few years and I’ve never had anything but a 5-star experience! They are right across the street from the arch entrance to Armstrong Park. This place is a must — definitely the best in town!

Found my way to Dreamy Weenies today for some carbo loading. So this is the Awesome Genchili Dog with Vegan Andouille and Vegan Chili topped with Vegan Cheese, Creole Mix(onions, bell peppers and celery-Nola staple) and Cajun Mustard. On the side seasoned Waffle fries and Potato Salad. Of course my eyes are always Alice in Wonderland but my stomach is all like«girl u play too much, a few bites and we good». Super amazing food and service from Keyotta. She’s so helpful. Great personality. I will be back soon.

Wasn’t «dreamy», especially for the price. Bread was amazing. Got the beef kabob Curry, swapped it out(bc of some lemon aftertaste yuck) for a zesty dog with creole toppings, not as exciting for $ 9 but tolerable

We stumbled into this place while wandering out of the French Quarter. I had been craving a good hotdog for a few days and this really hit the spot. There were a lot of delicious choices but I settled on the house special which was covered in chili, shredded cheese and pico and had cream cheese on the bun.

We LOVE this place. Every time we are in New Orleans, we visit as frequently as possible. My husband is vegan and they have many delicious options for him. My favorite is the zesty beef chili dog. The staff is super friendly and knowledgable and helpful. We learned about the care they take to prepare vegan, kosher, and halal food, going so far as to think about not dripping from one fryer basket into another’s. Lots of thought and care is taken. These are the best dogs I have ever eaten. You can’t go wrong here.

If you’re looking for vegan hot dogs in New Orleans, they do exist! And they’re delicious. We had the kielbasa and the andouille vegan dogs and they were both great. The environment was nice and the staff was friendly. I’ll definitely be recommending to all my vegan friends!

Wow! It’s rare enough to find any place anywhere serving five types of Vegan Sandwiches, but especially rare to find that in New Orleans, the meat, seafood, and fish capitol of the South. And, if that weren’t enough, they even offer vegan buns as an option at no extra cost. I say sandwiches because not all of the vegan options are«weenie,» probably better referred to as sausages. I cannot say for sure that they are, but the sausages we had reminded me a lot of the vegan sausages sold in grocery stores by Tofurky. For the uninitiated, they might not be that tasty or attractive. But, to those of us who have been eating them a while, they are a good, tasty option, and a great lunch. Not only can you get a great, vegan sandwich, you can top it with your choice of up to six toppings at no extra charge, but not all are vegan,(mayonaise comes to mind), 11 toppings for .99 each, or 13 toppings for just .60 more each. Yeah, if you like hot dogs, even if you like the kind made with meat, this is a great shop. You start out by choosing how you want your sausage served. You get your choice of the sausage with chips and a drink, with fries(waffle or sweet potato) and a drink, or with a side and a drink The prices are $ 9.25, $ 10.55, or $ 11.25 respectively. In the Quarter, that’s pretty good pricing. If you are looking for something different in the Quarter, or just a taste of home for a change of pace, this is a great place to go. If you are from out of town, it’s easier to say that this restaurant is located at the corner of St. Ann and Rampart, directly across the street from the front gate of Louis Armstrong Park. Also, note that the hours are 11:00 to 9:00 every day but Tuesday. Yeah, they say they are open until 9:30 on Saturday, but we were there at 9:20, and they were already closed.

THEWEENIESOFMYDREAMS! This place was the bomb! On our way out for the night we decided to stop by and grab a quick bite. We saw this place earlier during our tours and shenanigans and said we had to check it out just because of the name. When we walked in it was pretty dead but the service was great. She offered us menus and we started talking weenies. They have all kinds of dogs! There main setup is halal vegan & kosher dogs. I decided on the zesty beef. Next are the topping… which that have a ton! I went with chili, cheese, and avocado. It sounds funny but oh. my. gosh. It was delicious. He was flavorful and amazing in my mouth… yes i know that sounds bad but I don’t care. My friends all got their own weenies and we also ordered some chili cheese fries. Yumm! This place was a delightful surprise. I cant wait to come back to NOLA and get some weenies once more.

Yesssss. Just yes. Is that enough for a review? Seriously though. I had a vegan chili cheese dog and I was in absolute heaven. A+ for a great menu, delicious food and awesomely friendly service!

Dogs are big enough to share! Grits and seasoned waffle fries were killer. I had the Higgy and it was awesome. Hubby had the Satchmo and it too was amazing. Kids loved everything too! Atmosphere was very friendly and service was fast and friendly. After 11 hours in the car we needed to eat and we’re lucky to happen upon this place and had no wait. Not what we had in mind for our first meal in NOLA, but boy were we pleasantly surprised!

A swell place for omnivores and herbivores to both have options at! I had the vegan andouille dog as I had never had andouille before. It was flavorful and spicy, and I felt like I was tasting something authentically N’Awlins. I had it topped with vegan chili and avocado. The chili for me was seriously lacking amazing-ness, it was void of any flavor. Glad to have the option though, of my dawg being smothered in added fiber and protein. I love plain black beans, but was looking forward to/expecting some tasty N’Awlins chili. That being said, I would definitely go back. Lots of options to try and the gentleman who served us was super nice.

Man oh man, talk about delicious! This small establishment knows how to take an ordinary thing and make it extraordinary. My boyfriend and I decided to share a hot dog since we only wanted a little somethin’ somethin’ to hold us over until dinner, but we later wished we had each gotten our own because it was so tasty. We ordered the House Special, which is what you should order if you ever visit. It changed my life. Cream cheese in the bun? YESPLEASE! This hot dog comes with everything you want your hot dog to have on it, like chili, shredded cheese, pico de gallo, and magic. If you decide that’s not your thing, the menu has you covered; there are so many options and combinations available that it would be very difficult to not find the hot dog of your dreams here. They even have falafel as a choice instead of the standard weenie. As I write this review, I’m regretting not ordering two different hot dogs.

Can’t remember exactly how I found this place but once I walked in and saw that they had vegetarian & vegan fare I was so excited. I wasn’t really in the mood for a hot dog BUT I knew I wanted chili. I got the fries(waffle fries) and added the vegan chili. It was amazing. I will definitely be returning.

Let’s start this off by saying I am not a hot dog person. This place really hit the spot, not the 2am limited options spot, but the 5pm meal and 11am again the next morning spot. High quality Halal, kosher, and vegan options galore. Such a unique place that needs to open in Houston. This place is pricier, but its French Quarter and they use fresh and quality ingredients, even for hot dogs if one can do such a thing. The place isn’t too far a walk from FQ and is very clean. Staff is friendly and the owner, Nasr is really great. I got the beef with chili on top and some Cajun seasoning. It was loaded with stuff and cooked to a perfect juicy with a tiny crisp. These things are giant, so my wife and I shared. The seasoned fries were delicious as well and I’m not usually a waffle fry person. I didn’t like the sweet potato fries as they seemed burnt in a strange way. The vegetarian red beans and rice was pretty good. Very happy to try some since it’s hard to find a veggie version. I wish it had more rice, but it was really good. Hit the spot on the drive home. I also liked that they had fresh brewed hibiscus iced tea and clean restrooms. Cash only — atm inside. Still worth it Definitely worth it. Very unique. Quality. Please open this in Houston

LOVED this place! As a vegan I rarely get to have a really good hot dog and especially after seeing Lucky Dogs all over New Orleans plus andouille sausage everywhere I was really wishing I could have that flavor. Lucky for me, there is Dreamy Weenies! We got the andouille with the creole toppings and we got the Kielbasa with sauerkraut and mustard. Although both were excellent choices, I preferred the andouille dog. Nice flavor and texture. Not juicy but still a nice hearty dog. Super delicious and fulfills a craving.
