So much food! That seemed to be a theme during Unilocal Spring Break and especially here at this event. As you’ll see in my attached photo, we were able to order a mini feast of slider dogs, fries, and more slider dogs. Attendees also got a great 2 for 1 drink deal after checking into the event on the Unilocal app. This made for a very filling and satisfying chance to enjoy some great food and cheap drinks. Amazingly enough, this was also just the beginning of the night as Kajun’s, the host bar, was basically ground zero for a bar crawl which featured several spots in the surrounding area and they were also hosting their normal karaōke night of which many Unilocalers participated.

When I think of sausage fest, it reminds me of ALL of the days I would go to my buddies houses and get wasted and play video games. Unfortunately, this was common practice. Hell, when I go back to ATL, I am always guaranteed a front row ticket, as they would actually call me «King Sausage” — and I really don’t have a reason why. But I am not here to talk about a bunch of dudes hanging out, I am here to talk about some awesome food! The Sausage Fest was hosted by Kajun’s, and I guess you can say was the start of the crazy pub crawl. It was here I got to see more of my ATL buddies. When I arrived, I noticed the huge plates of food at the table. I saw the menu(which indeed was huge!), but I had no idea how much it cost. Since I came later than everyone else, I was like the 5th wheel. The server kept shafting me, like«who in the hell are you?» I guess the name tag didn’t matter! Hell, I wanted to EAT! And DRINK! They had Sam Adams Winter Lantern they were giving out, but I was too cool to have one– I got my drinks fr

Great feast at Borrachos, love that it was off the beaten path. Everyone there was so nice and so helpful, they made us feel like we were at home. For $ 20 we got a feast First course was home made potato chips with leek dip. Second course was crispy fried chicken livers(delish). Third course was the Borracho sausage sample which was three dogs(all homemade may I add) first one the Chicago dog– Awesome the second was the Borracho bratwurst– the made me a into a believer of bratwurst and last but not least the Sonoran dog, a hotdog wrapped in bacon, and had a pineapple-chili relish. Also to top that off a basket of French fries with homemade ketchup and mayo. I tried to eat what I could but my stomach failed me. This place is great to hangout, just chill, have a cold one and play pool. A great way to end the wonderful time we had in NOLA. Everything was very organized from the time we checked in at the front door, to ordering our drinks and food. We even got to talk to the chef himself and told us how everything was made. That was a treat. Would definitely go back when visiting NOLA again.

Sausage Fest Finds A Home @ Borracho SITREP This event was an opportunity to begin a dynamic pub crawl that led to several other pubs and art galleries. It was a nice beginning spot for the most. CHECKINSPECIAL There was a nice 2−4−1 digital coupon you were able to redeem upon checking into the the pub, and this provided great opportunities for friends and couples to get double the drinks for the bucks. THEMENU There was a few courses with the meal — which was about $ 20(and closer to $ 25 when throwing in a tip) — that included:(1) chips with a creamy cheese;(2) a semi-crispy chicken liver dish; and,(3) Three(3) different sausage creations, including one bacon-wrapped sausage, and a bratwurst-sauerkraut creation that came with a giant basket of French Fries. THELOWDOWN It was a good and hearty meal, and probably would be a great stop for a happy-hour crew of peeps any night of the week, to drinks brews, and watch the game on several televisions around the place.
