Love this place. I frequently have lunch here after I teach. The staff is great, they are pleasant and remember my order. Great portions and food is on point.

I have never tried Thai food and I must say I am impressed! The coconut milk soup was amazing, the crab fried rice was fa-reaking amazing. I do not live in Manhattan. I am all the way in Houston, Tx and I am craving this food! I am going back when I go back to NYC. There’s 3 locations to serve you!!!

My partner and I love this Thai restaurant. It is literally our favorite thai place in the world. The atmosphere is trendy and relaxed. The food is on point and presented well in proper portions. We usually order wine but last night we got martinis and they were made perfectly. Spring rolls are delicious and most definitely don’t come from a box, they are very fresh. The green curry is creamy and delicious, get the mock duck with it!!! The sautéed chicken in ginger with vegetables is very tasty as well. Really you can’t go wrong with anything you order here(unless its seafood, I haven’t experienced that here yet) Overall, I recommend this place to all of my friends visiting the city and try to join them if I can!!!

One of the decent asian restaurant I tried so far on my stay here in NY. We ordered pad thai and grilled chicken and its really good. The service is good and the staffs are friendly.

When the thought came to my mind to write a review for Yum Yum, I forgot how confusing it would be for me to select the right one! I am pretty sure my friend and I came to this Yum Yum location, even though it’s possible we went to one of the other two locations in the block radius. We came here for drinks after a long shift at work. The bar was empty at this location but a lot of people were enjoying food at the tables. We got two drinks each. I got the Blue Hawaii and it was honestly really good. For $ 8 you get a cocktail and an appetizer? It really wasn’t a bad deal. They close pretty early(midnight, I think?) but this isn’t a bad spot. They have $ 5 frozen lime margaritas if you’re into that. Service was not spectacular but it wasn’t bad. Overall, a good spot to come if you want a cocktail and something light. From the other reviews I’ve read, many people like their entrees as well so I would suggest giving them a try as well.

Definitely lives up to it’s name! It appears to be a generic Asian restaurant on the outside, but always has a solid dinner crowd so I decided to pop in for lunch. The pictures of the food kind of turned me off for some reason. I guess it just doesn’t appeal to my eyes, but it definitely was appealing to my taste buds. I ordered the fried rice with chicken and basil. Exactly what I was craving, extremely savory and filling for a good price!

Found this place right next to Yum Yum III and Yum Yum. Don’t remember what we had but boy was it delish! We were able to get a table for 4 during the busy dinner rush. Great service and wonderful desserts!

A bit disappointed. Started with spring rolls which were fine. I ordered some club soda but received ginger ale. I had Red Curry chicken and the spicy level was ok but the rice was so, so. Like, slightly undercooked, not moist. It came with bamboo shoots but I missed some peas, I understand you might not be able to get pea eggplant, but at least some sugar snap peas would have been nice. The chicken was the saddest part, really dry and chewy. Maybe my expectations where too high, but this restaurant did not live up to my expectations.

Great location. Upper scale Thai restaurant with great service. They have drink specials from 5 – 7, even on Saturday which was great. We all ordered the pre-fix menu with was $ 20 for small small, 2 small dumplings, and a small entrée. But it was filling, delicious and strong drinks. Good place to dine, but get there early as it gets busy.

Good food, but eh nothing unique about this place. Nothing stands out compared to the other thai places around the area. Service is good and solid, but eh… the place isn’t that memorable except for the fact that its located on a corner. For the price, the place is mediocre. I’ve experienced better but i’ve also experienced worse. I would rather try other places in the area that i haven’t been to before coming back here.

I have to go back to look at the reviews and see why this place has 3 stars. Don’t get me wrong it’s not the best place in the world but it serves its purpose at a nice cheap rate. This totally has nothing to do with the food but I walked here from 49th street Q train station in what felt like –10 degree weather and once I entered this place I immediately warmed up and was able to wiggle my toes. FROZENTOESMATTER! That in itself made me feel comfortable and willing to stay here for dinner. A nice small intimate Thai restaurant with Thai cuisine basics and more. I came here with 4 others and we paid roughly $ 26 each including tip and tax for our drink and our food. Don’t want to be that reviewer to throw numbers out there but well eh… I’m throwing numbers out there. We all know Thai food is relatively inexpensive but this food was actually GOOD(and they are quite generous with the portions). The drinks were delicious and had a satisfying amount of alcohol in them. The service was good as well. No mess ups on the orders and everything came out quickly and at the same time. I have no complaints. By the way… they serve water in these gigantic glasses. It’s as though they assume that you’re coming there after a long day of drinking and need to over hydrate yourself. I mean it’s not a problem but it’s quite intimidating lmao.(JK)

Food portions are adequate(perfect), quality of food is great, but service is slow. We went after a Broadway play and the food and Thai iced tea are great. I had the Panang Curry on a bed of pumpkin and the green curry and both were delicious

I’m very disappointed this time. I came here with my friends to have lunch. It took us to get the appetizer like 30 mins, food was terribly spicy, which I told them I have an allergy from spice. It took like 45 minutes we to served our main dish. It wasn’t much busy even if it was an excuse. I do not recommend you. You won’t be served on time and right Oder.

Another solid Thai restaurant in Hell’s Kitchen. I came here because this was the only restaurant in the area without a wait on a Saturday night. You get all your typical Thai options here — pad Thai, drunken noodles, curries with meat selection of your choice. The prie fixe was a pretty good deal — appetizer, salad, entrée, and dessert for $ 19.95. I chose the crab fried rice with the coconut tom kha soup. The crab fried rice definitely had a decent amount of crab, but the coconut soup was a bit too sweet for my liking. For our group of 3, our server decided to automatically add the 18% gratuity without notifying us, so we almost tipped extra on top. Be careful and don’t be tricked! Overall, nothing really stood out to me, but it was a hearty dinner for the price.

I used to be such a fan of the Yum Yum joints. While cheap and filling, I wasn’t a huge fan my lunch special. I ordered the spicy shrimp soup, light and delicious, it was more so a shrimp broth with sliced mushrooms in it. I found 1 shrimp hiding in there. I also shared edamame with my table mates. They ordered dumplings, came in only two dumplings per person. My entrée was grilled chicken, a generous portion with a side salad and sticky rice. I like it. My table mate had the spicy beef, I think it was too fried and my other friend had the chicken Rama and spat in his napkin haha Great lunch special, lotsa food, not what it used to be though.

Yummy curry puffs that go well with a cocktail for only 8 bucks. I think they also make the best pad khee Mao in the city Always a favorite of mine in the area!

I was not blown away by this one but they had solid service and food. I would give it a 3.5 if I could. Nothing amazing and the chicken in my curry was very overcooked and dry. Not so sure whether to believe the mixed health ratings in all three branches of the restaurant but Bareburger had too long of a wait(at 8PM on a Monday night) so we walked across the street to Yum Yum. I am also skeptical about the location as anything on 9th avenue seems to be lacking these days but it is well priced for the food you receive. Take out was reliable and came in a timely matter however skip the summer rolls and go for the main dishes. I guess it is just their thing to serve pork and chicken so well done it is dry and chewy.

Yum Yum Too wasn’t the yummiest place around, but was still a good lunch stop after a walk in the city. 3.75÷5 I got the 5-Course deal which was pretty cheap($ 19 left me full). I started off with their Tom Yum, which was just okay. It wasn’t my favorite and I personally think that other places around town are better. I got the veggie dumplings which were pretty good. It was new to my taste palette and I enjoyed them. My boyfriend got the spring rolls which tasted like normal spring rolls, but I did like the sauce that came with it. The peanut dressing for the salad was delicious. It was sweet and the peanut flavor wasn’t overwhelming(I’m just not a peanut-y person). Okay, if I were to just rate my entrée, I would give it 2840400018820300275712 stars. Like a billion stars. It was too amazing that 5 stars wouldn’t do it justice. I got the… *drumroll please* RAD-PRIKTAMARINDCHICKEN. This was something new to my taste palette in terms of discovering more to Thai cuisine(I normally run to the classic Tom Yum and Pad Thai and maybe even Curry dishes). It was breaded chicken pieces sauteed in this amazing sweet and spicy sauce. It was really delicious. I totally recommend this to everyone-as long as you love spicy. And for dessert, I got green tea ice cream and my boyfriend got mango sherbet. We wanted to get the crème brûlée, but it wasn’t available. Our desserts were alright, nothing new or special to it. Service was okay. It took our server a little while to come to us because it was getting busy. We totally understood so it didn’t bother us. Whenever she had time she would come by and see how we were doing. The place itself was pretty. I loved the hanging lights and the glass-rack chandelier by the bar. Some stuff could be improved, but overall I enjoyed. Hopefully the next time I stop by, the green tea crème brûlée that was on the menu would be available! :)

We decided to try Yum Yum Too on a whim, thinking that it must be good when they have several chain restaurants right across from each other on the intersection of 9th Ave. and 46th Street. Even before we looked at their main menu, the restaurant’s weekly specials caught my attention. Everything looked very appetizing! If you’re having any trouble choosing, or have diet restrictions, don’t hesitate to ask your server, as they are very friendly and knowledgeable. As for the restaurant, they have a full bar with a great selection of cocktails and happy hour! Yum Yum Too’s happy hour entails you to free tapas when you order one of their cocktails between the hours of 4pm-7pm. I had the soft shell crab with Thai Yellow curry which was available on their weekly special menu. My dish tasted great. There were at least 3 whole soft shell crabs marinated and cooked in Thai curry, and I was very surprised at how they cooked whole crabs! Normally, I’ve never had whole crabs before, and so I was very happy when there was not one but three crabs. The sauce was incredibly savoury, a little salty towards the end, but still, very good. I quite liked the yellow curry, and with the soft shell crab cooked as a whole, the curry seeped into the soft crab meat and created a well rounded balanced taste. There were lots of veggies in the curry as well, and the curry was served with a bowl of white rice. Hubby’s chicken pad thai was very fresh, and tasted even better than we expected. With a slice of lime on the side for an extra kick of freshness, the chicken pad thai was also topped with fresh bean sprouts, making it very authentic. It wasn’t too spicy, for us Koreans, and the noodles weren’t over cooked which prevented them from sticking together. The pad thai also had ample amounts of vegetables and fried egg within the noodles. If you’re looking for a quick bite to eat, a new restaurant to try, or just some authentic Thai food, Yum Yum Too is a great place for everyone. It’s not the most authentic Thai food we’ve tried, but for its price, it’s not a bad place to try. By the time we left the restaurant, it was quickly filling up with people! I don’t think reservations are required but if you want to make sure, call ahead to reserve a table.
