This is the place. Old school, no frills, SERIOUS talent. My cut has been perfect every time (and I’m not an easy customer. I ask for a pretty complicated cut). I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair. Doesn’t matter your age or aesthetic. Old, young, hipster, classic, they’ve got you covered and for a price you can’t beat.

Came over to 3 Ace from a different shop for Albert. He always gives a great, consistent cut, listens, and follows exactly what you want. Been coming to him for a few years now and always have the best experience. The shop is exactly what you’d think of for a traditional city barber shop — you can tell they have a very loyal customer base which is a sure sign of the quality cut you’re going to get here.

Found Aaron at 3 Aces and he gives an excellent haircut and listens to your preferences. The popularity of the shop and its location can sometimes include a short wait if you have a specific barber preference as I have. Great service and a warm comfortable environment. Excellent value for NYC as well!

I’m very particular about the way my hair is cut. After trying 5 different barber shops with multiple barbers in each, I can finally say I found the one. Aaron is nothing short of a legend. NICK is the ultimate barber who is EXCELLENT at what he does. He is very skillful with his craft and takes his time. 5 years ago, I wrote a stellar review for this Barbershop and has kept it’s high rating in my book. All throughout those 5 years, from crew cut to classic taper to fade to tram lines to faux hawk to the man bunn, I always leave looking better than before! My biggest thanks to my boy, Nick! Looking forward for more years of great looking haircut, laughters and friendship!

Finally, a classic shop that keeps the tradition of the barber culture alive. From the candy striped pole outside to the faux wood interior, the warm shaving cream and razor blade cuts and baby powder finishing touch, you will not be disappointed in this place.
The barbers are all friendly and welcoming, the cuts are clean and precise, their efficient and the price is right, $ 18 for a cut.
Aaron is my go-​to guy but I’m sure the others won’t disappoint in this classic find.

I had just moved to NYC and I needed a haircut before starting my new job.
I read all the Unilocal reviews and decided on 3 Aces.
I walked in on a Sunday just before closing time. Big mistake, is so I thought. The only guy available looked at me and was clearly not happy at all. But the boss told him to take me.
Best haircut I ever had. I got «Jonnyfied» that day. I’m sure the other guys are good based on watching, but people wait for Johnny. Just don’t go on my day.
Tell Johnny I sent you.

This place was awesome! Nick gave my husband a haircut and straight edge shave. Both the haircut and shave were the best he had ever had! Very close shave with no breakouts. Great price at $ 18 each! We will definitely be back!

When I walked in, service was polite and there was very little wait. Eli understood exactly what I wanted with my hair and did it right. He didn’t talk as he clipped which was too bad but he did a good job.
They don’t wash your hair here but they are very skilled with clippers and scissors. It was finished off with a straight razor which was a nice touch.
I left looking good, feeling fresh but wondering why my barber seemed to enjoy fooling and chatting with fellow employees but not with me.

Visiting from California I am very picky regarding my cuts. Eli and his uncle Rafa cut me the two times I came in and I walked away looking fresh. Really enjoy the young kids swag. He does a good job with the cuts and overall the shop is really steez in an eastern European kinda way. Lol at the new reviewer. If you have a sour attitude just get cut by an older dude and I am sure u won’t complain. This barbershop has a barber for every man. I’m back out in cali but these guys took care of me while I was in NYC.

The 5 star review should apply only if you don’t get Bryan (barber closest to the window). Just got a haircut that even Great Clips would be embarrassed about, and it’s a pretty simple cut. If you manage to grab Nick or the others, you’re set.
