The place is too small to be a stay-in café, but the teas and coffees are a plus.

I appreciate this place’s existence. The coffee is yummy, the pastries are tasty, and it’s never nearly as busy as Oren’s. :)

Stopped in for a Cocoa Latte($ 4.75) and wasn’t particularly impressed. It tasted like Oren’s Chocolate Au Lait($ 2.80), which is Oren’s coffee with chocolate syrup. If it tastes the same and Oren’s is cheaper and just around the corner why would I come here for my chocolate tinged hot caffeinated beverage?

I really like this little place. Their cocoa latte is delish. The menu is limited when it comes to coffee, but they do have tons of bagged teas. The prices are pretty high, though, so it’s not a place I’m going to run to very often. But great for a little treat.

This place needs to get famouser. Its coffee is truly, remarkably delicious. Try it and you’ll taste the difference. Initially lured by a Unilocal deal, I’ve now been back some dozen times. The coffee here does not depend upon milk or sweetening agents for its deliciousness. There’s something about the bean(more on that below). Useful facts if you’re thinking about heading over: 1) they use local organic milk; 2) they have one bench outside and one very narrow bar at the window(sans seats), so don’t expect to linger long; 3) they participate in the CUPS app; 4) prices are moderate(Manhattan-adjusted) but you’re paying for quality. A long-time La Colombe loyalist, I find this place a worthy competitor; and there’s rarely a line. After my 10th cup or so here, I became so curious about aforementioned tastiness that I looked up its source. It turns out that UR Cup uses beans from Panther Coffee Roasters in Miami, which describes its roasting method thus(quoting the Panther website): «achieving correct development and caramelization of the sugars present within the coffee bean, without the conversion of these precious caramelized sugars into carbon, which can result in an ashy or smoky taste. Great care is taken to expose the magnificent natural sweetness and the most subtle flavor nuances often lost in the roasting process.» Sounds lovely, no? It’s not the language that persuades, though, but the palpable deliciousness I consistently taste. For those who live/work in the neighborhood, this place deserves to become your default.

I’ve only been here once, but this tucked-away coffee shop is delicious! I got a cortado, and it was so good. It had a naturally sweet flavor, even without adding any sugar.

Really good iced coffee. I also got an almond croissant to go. The bag it was in became so greasy, it was disgusting. The price of these 2 items? A whopping $ 7.50. Pretty high considering it was just a cup of coffee and a pastry.

Delicious coffee and iced coffee, and really fantastic staff! They all know me here now, and make each transaction pleasant and something to look forward to(which is saying a lot when I am in need of caffeine!) I drink my coffee black, and so if the beans are burnt or the brew is wrong, it is all too apparent to me(no sugar or milk to help smooth over rough edges), but I have NEVER received anything less than superb coffee from UR Cup. It is so good I am almost surprised every time at how delicious the plain coffee(hot or iced) always is! Once you try this coffee(and interact with the refreshingly friendly staff!), I doubt you’ll ever want to go anywhere else for your plain coffee needs!

I stopped by URCUP on the way to work for a caffeine boost and was certainly not disappointed. I tried a Kenyan pour over on the barista’s recommendation and was very pleased with the aroma and taste — a light roast with slightly fruity taste. The service was overall pleasant, the barista knowledgeable and the environment relaxing. The prices are pretty standard fare, $ 4 for the pour over, so it’s definitely worth coming here for quality coffee.

I have tried every coffee spot in the area. I was so pleased when URCUP opened and so sad it was in my last year at NYU! As a connoisseur of coffee and tea, this place provides an exceptional Cortadito and well as the best Drip and a variety of delightful teas. They have fresh delivered pastries every morning. Amazingly good! But, what really makes this place spectacular is the staff. The are unpretentious, knowledgable, and friendly. I find their quality higher than Orens. I have spent a lot of time sitting at THINK studying and observing. Unlike THINK they don’t try to herd you through in order to socialize with each other. Especially, unlike THINK they also don’t become easily annoyed if a customer takes a little longer to make up their mind or a special request. Sadly, Colombe used to be the best, but they have sacrificed their quality to increase their patronage over the past year. This place has been my staple in getting convenient, delicious coffee and excellent service. They don’t have seating(with the exception of a outside bench, which means I have been forced to enjoy and take advantage of beautiful Wash. sq park), yet they make up for it in the quality of what you get.

Stopped by here on my way to work, desperate for caffeine. This place was recommended to me by my roommate since it’s really close by. It’s a small coffee shop with a bench near the window to sit at. The barista was friendly. There are plenty of milk choices for my latte, which I wasn’t expecting. Overall, pretty good. Don’t forget to get a stamp card like I did! P. S. You also get 15% off for checking in!

YUM. I’m picky, picky picky when it comes to my lattes and café au laits, and this place hits the spot. Super nice staff, and the cocoa late is unreal. So happy to have this place in the neighborhood!

The workers here are always super nice whenever I come. They have an assortment of loose leaf teas as well as a few coffee options. I’ve had their regular coffee(both cold and hot) and I’m never disappointed. Unlike Starbucks’ coffee, which tastes burnt, the coffee here is never bad. They have an assortment of condiments as well — four types of milk/creamer as well as sugars, syrups and honey for your tastes. Remember to get a stamp card — for every 10 purchases, you get one free!

I tried a plain coffee here because of a promotion I’d seen for a back-to-school free coffee special. The coffee was actually a really decent cup. Whenever I need a coffee fix near campus, I’ll probably stop by here next. ETA: Have come back here a few times and had the maple latte, cocoa latte and other coffee drinks. I like that you can get a smaller than usual sized coffee because I can’t drink that much in one go, normally, even a small at starbucks takes too long for me to drink before it goes warm. The cocoa latte is really, very delicious. It’s perfectly sweet and just the right pick-me-up for a long afternoon. Recommended! The maple latte is one of their specialty drinks, but I wasn’t that impressed. I mean it tasted mapley enough… I just don’t think maple goes well with the coffee they use. Anyway, love this place for coffee whenever I’m at school and it’s my go-to now!

Every payday I indulge in a cocoa latte – a rich, frothy drink that makes the end of the month a treat. If I’m feeling extra good(or bad, depending on how you look at it) I will order a cookie. This cookie, however, is unlike any other cookie you have had. It’s sprinkled with sea salt. The chocolate-sea salt combo is nothing to scoff at. Be careful though, UR’s sweet treats and friendly service can become addictive!

Quality coffee and quality service. Oh and fresh organic pastries. My little secret spot. They now have their own version of the«cronut» a #frenchdonut called URNot. So delish and I didn’t have to wait 2 hours for it in line.

Went here today for the first time. the space is clean and neat and they have a great variety of chocolates and pastries aside from the delicious coffee. i got the ‘URDRIP’ — their take on drip coffee, which was recommended by the kind gentlemen behind the counter. not only was is delicous, but it gave me that great morning jolt. these guys know coffee. also got a croissant and sea salt chocolate chip cookie, which were both scrumptious. will be visiting this place for than often. They also have a nice bench to sit outside and read your morning news or emails while you sip that goodness :)
