One time was fine, the other was a disaster. I’m not all that picky (as you might assume from someone who goes to a $ 15 barber), but this was pretty bad.

Checked out Mike’s barber shop today. I’m pretty sure the’re affiliated with Reamir & Co barber shops. They have a 4 barber set up and was pretty backed up at lunchtime on a Tuesday. The owner, a middle aged European gentleman gave me a much needed shape-​up and did a solid Job. After the clippers he touched up the line lightly with a razor, cleaned me off with a damp towel, did the alcohol thing, and put on some hair gel that left me smelling fresh all day.
Other than the owner this place has some dudes that look like they know how to cut a brother’s hair. A couple of them were working on some flash designs for their regulars. The people waiting didn’t mind spending their lunch hours in here waiting for a quality cut.
$ 10 bucks is usually a bit more then i’d like to spend on a shape up, but there isn’t anything cheaper or better for literally miles around for an African American man and the service was darn good. Hope they stick around.
