DONOTEATHERE! THEYDONTDESERVEYOURMONEY, YOUDONTDESERVEPOORSERVICE! Wow wish I read the reviews or looked at the rating before my husband and I went in this afternoon. The bar is downstairs when we entered. There was no host/hostess and were told to go sit upstairs to the right on our own so we seated ourselves. The waiters passed us back and forth for about 15 min before one them stopped to take our order. We told him we had not menus, haven’t ordered drinks yet either and have no place settings. We were starvingggg! By the time our food got to our table there were 6 other couples that arrived after us and were already well into their meals. I ordered the French dip with a side salad — my bread had green stuff on it(maybe avocado but my sandwich def did not come with it), the salad was wilted, there was no dip. It took 10 min to flag down our waiter to ask him for dip another 10 min to get it to our table. The dip was essentially their very salty French onion soup with no cheese on top. He was apologetic every time he came to our table but it does not excuse poor service. From what i observed I I don’t think it was entirely his fault; the layout of the restaurant is bizarre, everyone’s running like chickens with their heads cut off, and I don t think he was trained properly, I don’t think any of the severs were. There was one server in the same section who had 2 tables dine and not pay for their sucky service. That server that got ditched twice was the typical hot head New Yorker stereotype and in my opinion deserved it; he was rude, loud, unprofessional, unwelcoming and would be lucky if he got a tip from any one. I applaud those who got up and left bc I wanted to do the same but our waiter wasn’t a total jerk. Unfortunately I couldn’t tell you the names of these severs bc they didn’t give you their names and weren’t wearing any name tags. I’m surprised the manager was not present after the dine and ditch incidents. If he/she was, it was not obvious — no name tags and no one dressed like one on the floor. The prices were double than the one back home in SF. We paid $ 50 for a burger and sandwich… Wtf?!? How can a chain restaurant run such a horrible business and feel ok to charge $ 20 for a dry sandwich??? SHAMEONYOUTGIFRIDAYS! Get your act together. This restaurant does not deserve any business! There are much more better establishments that deserve this space. I hope NYC replaces this TGIFRIDAYS for something worthwhile.

I wish if there was a negative stars to give this place. I have been living in NYC for four years and this is by far the worst experience. I first asked for a quiet place, the waitress almost yelled at me(this is a restaurant, there is no quiet place), I smiled and said: you are right. Then, It took her 25 min to take the order, she just disappeared, all other waitresses kept ignoring me when I called them. She finally cam, when I told her that 25 min is a long time to have the order she was very rude, she said: baby do you want to order Or not? Nobody cares, it’s seems there is no managing of what so ever. I will never recommend this horrible place to anyone and I will not come here again.

Apparently there is only one bartender on duty on Tuesday’s who makes beverages for the entire two floor restaurant. The bartender is fabulous but her having to mar drinks for EVERYONE makes her a bit inefficient. Poor judgment on management’s part. Especially since this location is in a PRIMETIMESSQUARE area, they should be full staffed at all times. The two stars are solely for the bartender not for the restaurant.

If I could give this place zero stars I would! The service was extremely slow and the place wasn’t even packed! The loaded potatoes appetizer was soaked in grease, I couldn’t even eat them! The server was slow and rarely checked up on us. Guest who arrived after my boyfriend and I received their meals before us. The marinara sauce for the mozzarella sticks looked like it has been sitting in the cup for weeks… The service was overall crappy! I will never visit this location again! Oh and the drinks were watered down! Waste of my time and money!

This is by far the worst service I’ve ever received. Just because the minute I come in, no one was there to greet me. When I walked all the way to the stairs, there’s still no one there to greet me until minutes later. If it was busy, I’d understand but it wasn’t. When I sat down, there were so many utensils missing and they didn’t even ask what drink you’d like to start off with before your meal until after our meal was served omg. When the food came, it looked pretty decent but it was so bad. For the price of $$, it tasted like $, not even. Service is horrible, food is horrible, nothing good came out of that place except our waiter. He was rather friendly and that’s why I’m giving it 2 stars rather than 1.

I would give zero stars if it was possible. My friend and I decided to eat there on a Saturday evening. There wasn’t many people, so there were many tables available. A waitress decided to sit us in a random small table in a corner where everyone was passing by. They gave us the menus and we sat there for about 20 minutes and no one attended us; not even to take the drink order. We decided to leave! That was beyond ridiculous. The prices are very high but then again it’s NYC, everything is highly priced.

This place keeps the lights dim which given the outdated décor is likely a good thing. The bathrooms are a step into a 1970s rural truck stop. Don’t ask to alter anything on the menu because they all seem to be «pre-made». Even when you can choose an item such as a dressing for your salad they don’t have it and don’t bother to tell you until your meal has arrived; this leaves no time to change the order. The wait staff doesn’t seem to have time to refill drinks because he is sitting in the windowsill chatting with the hot girl for 15 minutes. For 20 dollar appetizers I would expect more from a place. Don’t bother and go to Applebee’s a block away for a much better experience.

This was, by far, THE most expensive meal from TGI Fridays I have ever had. I understand that things tend to be a bit more pricey in New York, but this takes the cake. When all was said and done, including tip, our total came to $ 84. Back home, our total probably would have been half that. I ordered my usual meal, the Cajun Chicken and Shrimp pasta. The food was delicious, but the portion size was definitely smaller than what I would normally get. I actually was able to finish the entire portion, whereas I normally would have some leftover to take home. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was very nice. And we enjoyed the view of 7th Ave and the football game that was on TV. Take note: this location is a privately owned one and does not participate in the Stripes program.

Horrible experience. The food wasn’t great at all. It wasn’t hot, the buffalo wings tasted really strange! My Pepsi even tasted weird! The waitress did not check on us at all! The ribs were burnt! Listen your better off going somewhere else!!!

TERRIBLE: DONOTGO. We attended their NYE party(paid $ 300+ per person). It was absolutely horrid. Food was like dog food(cold and crunchy) it was definitely sitting a while before being served. Service was beyond terrible. The worst experience we had while in NYC… Not worth a penny. Stay away.

Where tourists go to die… I know… I should know better. However, our alcohol levels were running low and we needed a quick fix. 2 nuke oven apps…3 beers…2 sodas… and a Hondo later we scored that fix! We sat at the bottom bar… quite depressing. Just cold with no energy. When I went up to the restroom(another train wreck) I saw the main seating area. It was much nicer… so if you really must… ask to sit in this section. Avoid if you can… just too many other options for a quick drink… even in the heart of Midtown…

One would expect to pay more, just because your in New York. But this TGI Friday’s is off the chain. I usually get my stand by the Bruschetta Chicken Pasta. Typically you get 6 to 8 pieces of chicken, here I got 4 very small pieces. Also a very small portion of pasta. Very disappointing for nearly $ 24. This is a privately owned location and doesn’t participate in the Stripes program. I hate to say it but our hotel two blocks away has better prices and portion sizes.

The prices are a bit ridiculous but then again this location is in the heart of the city, so I guess that’s how they justify it? :/However, the customer service is great! Our waiter was very attentive and kept us laughing all night! The food came out fast and it was really tasty too! My friends and I had a blast! To top it off our waiter brought out a dessert chocolate cake for my friend since it was his birthday! How nice of them! We will definitely return!

Sky high prices. Over cooked broccoli with a burnt piece of salmon for $ 30. Soggy mozzarella sticks. Couldn’t sleep all night so I expect they use tons of MSG. Terrible experience.

Wow! My frozen margarita’s didn’t seem to have any alcohol in them, but more importantly, the prices were outrageous! One appetizer, one main course and two drinks — $ 80! Service was fine. Out-Rageous.(That’s a capital R)

You can’t make your frozen appetizers remotely flawless and you want to charge 15+ per item. Close the doors immediately. Let someone else who will actually care about the food open a new place. I should have checked before hand. You’re ruining your brand by sending out garbage like you do. You all have gone down hill since you stopped breading you JD chicken strips years ago. Big wigs wanna save money and have everything come from the freezer. If you made things fresh you would be killing it. I will never step foot into another Friday’s. Ever. You can’t even use real cheddar on the potatoes skins. I could have went to Walmart and bought everything I had for $ 8. The only hope for this place is the nice Waite staff.

So first things first, everything here is 2x the price it should be. Even typical city food is usually only marked up 1.5x, but my chicken dish was $ 23.69 and my girlfriend’s plate of pasta was $ 20.79. I also paid $ 13 for a Long Island Iced Tea –__– We came here right before seeing a Broadway show, so we mentioned that to our waitress to hopefully get our food quickly and not be late to the show. The food came out in about 15 minutes, and our waitress(Lorraine) had checked on it for us voluntarily! I want to give credit to her for being friendly and responsible! I ordered the Garlic chicken over cheese with mashed potatoes. The chicken was juicy and well-seasoned, and the crispy melted cheese reminded me of cheez-its, which went great with the chicken. The mashed potatoes were buttery and flavorful. My girlfriend ordered the Bruschetta chicken pasta, which was a little overcooked but was still well-seasoned with garlic and had juicy chicken meat. I give this establishment 3 stars only because the food was good and the waitress was nice, but the prices are completely unreasonable. I would not come back here unless the prices go down, which I don’t expect to happen.

Outside of the jacked up pricing. Our service was good. The food was only ok though. The overpricing was a huge turnoff.
