I haven’t even tried the food yet but am taken aback by the fact that a drink cost $ 10.00!!! A large smoothie at a health food store doesn’t even cost $ 10.00!!! What a rip off I will definitely not be going back EVER. I’ll go to havannah and get a real drink and real food for the same price. Sincerely outraged customer …

Similar to Dig inn. Pick a protein and get 2 sides. I got the salmon with charred broccoli and sweet potato. The lines during lunch can get intimidating but it goes by fairly quick. The salmon was okay, not too dried but nothing amazing to make me keep coming back. The salmon and sides really needed the chipotle spicy sauce that you can ask for at the register. Staff isn’t the friendliest. The food can be on the bland side without the sauce. The charred broccoli was ok. Sweet potato is passable. I would probably try another charred vegetable if I come back. The portion size is normal for the price. I didn’t expect any more or less. Decent lunch spot in the area.

This place is great! I went by for dinner and got the Beet Bowl with chicken and a side of broccoli. Both were delicious and the broccoli some of the best roasted broccoli I’ve ever had. All fresh ingredients, and it is quick and very healthy! I travel a ton for work and eating on the road can be awful, this place hits the spot! I read some weary reviews, but there is nothing to be concerned about this place. If you are looking for something healthy, you don’t want to miss the chance to eat here.

Food: this place really surprised me. I was not excited to have to order from here, but I got outvoted. I had The Little Beet salad which was delicious. Chicken, greens, quinoa, beets and goat cheese with a light dressing. I also had some chicken wrap made with brown rice, seaweed(I think) and some veggies. Also delicious. I would definitely eat both of these orders again. Service: N/A Atmosphere: N/A Misc: the only problem with this place is that the portions are not large enough for me. The salad and the wrap I ordered are both supposed to be full orders for an adult human being. I ate them both and was full, but not like stuffed and uncomfortable. So, for me, this is a $ 22 lunch which is probably still do again because it was delicious and healthy(I think) I’d give it 4 stars, but it’s probably too simple and casual or something for that. Thanks for a great lunch.

Went to the little beet today because I wanted a healthy lunch. I got the beet box which comes with soba and cabbage salad and a beet quinoa salad with a veggie patty. This was fresh and light lunch which I loved. Both salads was very good and I was surprised about the beet quinoa it was fresh and had two different types of beets in it. The veggie patty comes with sauce on top and you can taste the mint flavor. Would go back to order this again.

This place is relatively close to my office and it is one of the only places to get a quick, healthy take out lunch in Midtown. I always get the Chicken with the Kale or Broccoli. The Chicken is your basic grilled chicken but its flavorful enough for what it is, and not overly dry like you would normally get from a ready-made place. The vegetable mash is also a good side dish. I have tried the Cauliflower soup which I thought was good. That is all I ever get, so I can’t recommend anything else. It is slightly on the pricey side for a take out lunch place, you are not getting out of there for less than 10 dollars. The line is RIDICULOUS. m, 12 and 1:30 it is to the door. I have started to order online and just picking up my order, which is a must because I don’t want to be in there for long because the store has a BAD fish smell, it is obviously from all the fish for the ready to make lunches, but it is a foul smell.

This place used to be great — now the staff are a mess. Lost orders and long waits are the norm. Don’t expect to get what you ordered in a reasonable amount of time. Avoid it.

The Napa cabbage soba noodle salad was fantastic and so was the cauliflower soup. My kids ate the food there– what a great alternative to junk food.

Service: When we first arrived we asked the cashier what was vegan and she kindly let us know. I asked for sweet potatoes in my bowl and they were made with cheese so they gladly made fresh ones for me with no cheese! The staff was really kind and friendly. Food: The food was AMAZING! I got Tofu with wild rice(which has rice, cranberries, butternut squash, and pecans), and sweet potatoes. My mom got Veggie patty, Lentil salad, and butternut squash soup. The soup was so warm and creamy definitely recommended! We also got vegan chocolate chip cookies for dessert which were hard on the outside and soft on the inside. It has chocolate chips and cranberries. To go I got a back of Maple Cinnamon ‘Graham Crackers’. They are pretty tasty and good for snacking while walking around NY. Overall I can’t wait to go back and try more things !!! Prices: Everything was a little pricey. But you would pay more at a fancy restaurant. Everything here is gluten free and they serve vegan and it feels really homey. Everything is local and I think organic as well.

Guess every place deserves a second chance so I came by at noon after picking up stuff from my friend’s place around. Felt like salad plus meat so I went ahead and ordered the salmon with 2 sides combo. I should have ordered the roasted broccoli at my first visit, it was marinated well with the sauce and had a crispy feeling. Guess what I liked the most would be the chipotle hot sauce — it simply made my salad much more delicious, without adding too many calories. My lessons learned here: go for broccoli and make it spicy! I will try steak next time!

I happened to be around and wanted to have some vegetables only, so I searched Unilocal and this store came up. The store was about to close in 30 minutes so there weren’t many people inside, which makes the atmosphere comfortably quiet. I ordered sweet potatoes(good, I recommend) and The Little Beet salad(personally I don’t like it very much, perhaps I should’ve ordered the Chinese cabbage salad instead). Overall I give four stars. Tips: There’s no waiter waiting at the table. Just order and the staff will let you know when your food is ready to be picked up. There’s a restroom inside.

Here’s how amazing this place is: On an upcoming business trip I’m planning to New York, I specifically have to arrange time in my schedule to go to The Little Beet so that I can buy gluten-free donuts to bring home to my wife. I’m not kidding. We were in New York for a few days recently, and we found The Little Beet through Unilocal. It’s all gluten free? Perfect! My wife has celiac disease, so this is what she needs. We ended up eating there for lunch one day and breakfast the next day. Both experiences were awesome. We went with chicken and various sides for lunch, and then the gluten-free bacon egg and cheese wraps for breakfast. Importantly, both meals were accompanied by gluten-free donuts that my wife says are her favorite donuts anywhere(gluten-free or otherwise). They are pretty darn good. Funny story: We bought a half dozen of these fabled donuts to take home to Colorado, and I was carrying them in a container with a see-through lid. As we got to the airport and entered the security line, the TSA agent checking my ID looked at the donuts and said, «You can’t bring those on the plane.» The crestfallen look on my face was too much for the agent and my wife, who both started cracking up. The agent was kidding, of course. But I was worried there was some new«no donuts» rule that just went into effect for air travel or something. Man, having to leave those donuts behind would have been a tragedy. Also, I’m apparently gullible. But yeah, The Little Beet has amazing gluten-free donuts. Everything else is good too. But donuts, yeah!

I’ve got to hand it to Little Beet. Their new preparation of chicken breast is spot on! Brining the meat locks in the moisture — making it the juiciest chicken I’ve ever had. I also tried the root veggie mash, a perfect seasonal addition with hints of sweet potato /cinnamon and nutmeg while not being excessively sweet. I had an early lunch at 11:30 and had to wait about 10 mins. By the time I left at noon, the line was out the door! Understandable for farm fresh healthy lunch!

Love finding spots in midtown to add to my healthy lunch option repertoire and little beet hits the spot by serving simple, delicious, #glutenfree, fresh nutritious food! For my protein choice, I’ve only ever had the salmon because it’s so good and I’m finding it hard to bring myself to try something else. You can request to have the salmon cooked medium rare if you like your salmon more tender. The natural and clean taste of the food really appeals to me and I finish my lunch feeling good, energized and healthy. There is an online system where you can order ahead — do this or you will be waiting in the line that goes out the door! Snapped: Protein + 3 sides: The salmon, charred broccoli, string beans, quinoa Nom factor: 9⁄10

The staff here are so polite, welcoming and enthusiastic. I really like that. I got catering from The Little Beet for Spoon University and was impressed with the freshness of the food. Sweet potatoes, tomato mozzarella, veggie patties, grilled chicken and salmon were all incredible. Very, very nice staff.

Saw the adorable sign outside and wanted to give it a try. I’m a huge fan of fresh green juice and this place has got it goin’ on. Small, on the go bottles. Very tasty and the 8oz. is just enough!

The food is a solid 4 stars, but the price makes it more a 3. This is like a healthier, smaller-portion version of Chipotle, with everything gluten free and no cheese/sour cream option — perfect for our food allergies. The chicken is tender & juicy, and comes in a satisfying portion. The kale has a spicy kick, the soba noodle /coleslaw mix is refreshing, and the sweet potato is one of the more filling sides. I love how they let the food speak for itself — only a subtle touch of oil & seasoning.

I work right around the corner from The Little Beet so i’ve been here a number of times for lunch. My go-to meal is to get a protein and two sides which is $ 13. I have had the chicken and the salmon, and much prefer the salmon. My two favorite sides are the roasted sweet potatoes which are halved and roasted in the oven, as well as the soba noodle cabbage salad. The soba noodle salad doesn’t seem to be that popular, but I think it’s amazing and highly recommend it. They also ahve these sushi wraps that look amazing but I haven’t tried them yet. This place is PACKED for about two hours during the lunch shift. They have it down pretty well though, so it probably takes around 15 minutes every time. All in all, the food quality is great but it’s pretty expensive! It comes out to almost $ 15 so this isn’t somewhere that I go to on a daily basis.

The Little Beet deserves a review update. I’ve been here several times since the gross beet salad and have thoroughly enjoyed my lunch ever since. Armed frequently with free PayPal credit, of course. They accept both PayPal and LevelUp, making life easy for some people. Kale salad — quite a satisfying salad, though lacking in ingredients. However, this simple salad is delicious mostly due to the pecorino and lemon vinagrette. The blackcurrants go well with the mix, but this isn’t that filling for the price. Cauliflower leek soup — this is so good. Especially on a frigid winter day, this soup soothes the soul and goes well with the kale salad. Protein + 2 sides — in my case, salmon, cauliflower, and sweet potatoes. All of it was amazing. The crazy $ 14+ after tax price tag aside, this was quite the satisfying lunch. The salmon was pan cooked fresh and was crispy on the outside without being too greasy. The cauliflower had a curry powder base with lemon and was crunchy. The sweet potato was baked perfectly and had a nice sweet and salty taste to it. I wouldn’t compare Little Beet to Dig Inn at all… I feel like the food at LB is way more basic. Dig Inn just has more acceptable price tags to their food. Also, get the hot sauce! It’s more of a sweet/spicy sauce than a hot sauce… not really that spicy at all but goes well with the chicken and salmon. Line for lunch is ridiculous — beware. The Little Beet is a delicious choice for lunch if you feel like splurging.
