Inflated prices, extremely unreliable hours as they close whenever they want to, but at least their machines are newer. That’s pretty much all you need to know for a laundromat. This review is not for their wash and fold service. I never use them because there are more affordable places around.

They do hang dry for 25 cents per item. The women who work here are all super. I have been dropping off laundry here for more than four years and they take very good care of… laundry.

I have never used a wash and fold service in NYC before here. I was very pleasantly surprised. Nothing Missing. Clothes were very clean and neatly folded. The two ladies that worked there were extremely nice and told me exactly when to come back(about 4 hours. Will be going back again.

A star because, unlike some other laundromats in the neighborhood, there is actually room to turn around in here. A star because it’s fairly clean. And a star because Sun Park is located in what was, historically, one of New York’s worst neighborhoods, and I enjoy imagining what terrible things may have occurred in the same basement spot one hundred years ago. What? There’s nowhere to sit in the laundromat, and I have to amuse myself somehow.(To be clear, there is a bench *outside*. Just not one inside.) One thing to watch out for: they have a strict cut-off time for last wash, which is fair. But! Their clock is set 15 minutes fast, or at least it was the last couple of times I was in there. So that’s not cool. But as long as you get there before their clock says 7:30, it’s good enough.

If you live in Chinatown and near the Mott street park this is the laundromat that you go to. Good machines and not super crowded. They also do load washes. Open from 7am to 9pm. Do your laundry and go across the street to play basketball while you wait.
