this is a cool store, sadly i never stepped inside when i was living in this hood, but i’m glad i did on my recent trip to visit nyc. the interior has a very clean look, sleek and white. they carry everything from cosmetics to skincare items to candles. everything smells wonderful too! although a little on the pricey side, this is a great place to buy a birthday present or bridal shower gift for one of your girlfriends.

Quite possibly the most amazing skincare/cosmetic store I have ever seen. The store and the associates are warm and invite you in… you want to try everything! A little pricey, but makes you want to save your coins and buy something luxurious :-)

Space NK is what Barney’s skincare would look like with a few extra lines. I am a huge fan of Barney’s and their move to skin care with out parabins, petroleum and other harmful products. In fact, when I exclaimed that this looks like Barney’s one of the sales people told me that he used to work there. Go figure. The thing I love about Space NK is that the service there is top notch. The sales staff is like an older sibling that wants you to play in their make up cabinet/skin care stash. They let you try alot of stuff and load you up with free samples because let’s be honest. Its not walgreens and its pricey. That being said I think if you want to go green you know it comes with a premium. And in a city where women spend $ 500 on shoes its strange if they only spend much less on taking care of their face. Another tip: one of the best lines of skin care out there is Revive. The Greene St Space NK is the only one that does facials. I highly recommend it and will make you a believer. Revive is what La Mer could have been if it wasn’t made with petroleum. Revive is also made for burn victims but without nasty parabins or petroleum. Def. try it!

How did I not know this place existed despite living a block away? Oh yeah, because it wasn’t on Unilocal and anything not on Unilocal pretty much doesn’t exist in my world anymore. But I’m so happy I found Space NK. They had the Laura Mercier products I was seeking and the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The space is nice too, smaller but also less crazy than Sephora. Loved it, will be back.
