WARNING — Dishonest cashier! I just watched my friend hand the cashier a $ 20 bill. He tried to cheat him out of $ 10 by switching money in the register and telling him that he was handed a $ 10 bill. We finally talked him into giving it back. BEWARE.

Ordered for delivery at 6:30pm, their hours state they are open until 11:30pm. I get a phone call at 7:15pm when my food should have already been delivered saying that they are closing early and couldn’t make my food. Took them 45 minutes to decide that?

In my honest opinion, this is the best pizza in the area. Better than«the number one pizza place voted by the food network»(that pizza was cardboard crap). This pizza had the absolute perfect crust, and the flavor was delicious. Don’t listen to the bad reviews on here, give it a try, go get a slice!

Employees don’t wash their hands! Just saw an employee role up the carped on the ground and started making a pizza without washing his hands.

Ever since we moved to NYC in January, I fell in love with their pizza. It’s the best pizza in the city in my opinion. The owners and employees are always very friendly and in a wonderful mood(which is a huge plus). Pizza is thin crust, crispy and everything a New Yorker would want in a pizza. My favorite is the white ricotta slices or getting a whole pie on the way from work and reheating it at home. Give it a try, I don’t see why you wouldn’t love it.

Never going back here again! Cheese tasted like over processed lunchable crap, sauce has no flavor just ran along under the cheese sliding with the sloppy dough. Thin as could be with no crunch whatsoever. At $ 2.50 for cheese I expected something edible this was more like chewing on oiled Saran wrap. Had got a dollar slice at 2 Bros in HK earlier in the day and would rather eat an entire pie there then eat one more slice from Rivoli.

I forgot I even made this check in I was so drunk. The place was empty and they were so nice to us! I’d comment on the pies but with my state of mind, anything would have been good so I’ll have to go back sober!

I came here to get some pizza. The old man working was extremely rude to me, and I don’t know why. Pizza was mediocre at best, and honestly, because of the terrible attitude of the old man, I will never be coming back. Saw some rats scampering right next to it too. No thanks.

Frankly– I’m surprised by the negative reviews. I order 1 – 2 cheese pies from Rivoli every Tuesday. Friendly service, fast delivery and great pizza. The guy who takes my order is enthusiastic and jovial and teases me in his Italian accent every time I call. Never a bad experience with this place. I’m not sure what else you could ask for… 2 thumbs up.

They moved and re-opened as of Mid April 2014 to 132? Christopher St-right across the street from where they used to be. Only problem, they DIDN’T(as far as I can find) change their phone number. When you call the number in all of their online listings, it’s the old number that has been disconnected! How do you offer delivery and not update you phone number. I also called 411 and they no listing at all, for the old or new location. They said some businesses do not pay to be in the yellow pages. The move to the new location… definitely some glitches.

Rivoli Pizza… You mean so much to me. I dont think you ever close, because during my stay in NYC I passed by at ALL hours of the day and night, and your halogen bulbs shined like little beacons of hope for my hungry and lazy soul!!! All the planning, preparation, and Unilocal searching I did for the best pizza in New York was futile, because Rivoli was officially the ONLY pizza I ate in NYC. Im sorry, It just happened. It was late, nothing in the remote vicinity was open or serving anything under 50 bucks a meal. Was it the best pizza? No. Was it tasty and acceptable? Yes. They had a decent selection of pies and interesting other things. Let me tally this up: + for having a wide selection of slices. Im a ricotta fanatic, so anything with that sweet white stuff is gold to me. Spinach too, please! + for having interesting other things. I dont know why a pizza shop would sell Jamaican Patties, but these guys did, and they were fantastic! Patties and pizza were both on my NYC food list, and I checked them both off here. Also a + for their little pepperoni bread roll things. Those were bomb! +Friendly staff. All were nice to me, anyway. Now, I know its not gonna win any awards. I didnt Unilocal this place before, but just happened to walk in. I was shocked at its poor rating. Really? Its that bad? Did I just come on off-times and get really decent service? I only came in for slices and Jamaican Patties, and both were awesome. Um, here’s for the scary part… On my last day there and after eating at least 3 slices during my trip, I saw in the window a B rating… not an A, but a B. That surprised me, its safe to say. Im a little inquisitive as to why they got that less than stellar health code rating, but then again, I probably dont wanna know.

Guys behind the counter are super nice. Pizza is terrible, just plain bad. 99c pizza on 7th ave is worth the walk.

I’ve ended up here twice on separate trips to NYC. It’s convenient. Food was a bit slow but tasty. You don’t need a full pizza. You need a slice. We were tired. We were hungry and we may have had too much too drink.

This pizza is decent, decent in the sense of you are walking by and can not think of anything else to eat and you just want a slice. I agree with some others the pizza did not look as fresh when I was there once or twice. I stuck with the plain. –Good thing is they are open late. A large pizza 18″ is $ 17.95.

There are only two times to go here: 1. Saturday or Sunday hungover at 12 noon, right when they open, and the pizza’s fresh out of the oven. 2. Anytime after 2am and you’ve been drinking. With late night Unilocal check-in, they’ll give you a free order of regret the next day. Ha. ha. ha.

This place is dirty even by pizza shop standards. And being right near the PATH you’ll be surrounded by a horrible bridge & tunnel crowd on a Saturday night. The pizza is overly greasy. Only for alcoholic emergencies.

It’s not gonna give you food poisoning(I hope). But it’s definitely not a fresh and yummy pizza place. The only reason this place is still open is because of all the drunk Jersey kids that party at Chi Chis on the weekends and go here to get their drunken fix. If you just need a slice of pizza and this is your only option, then do it.

Careful: there is a strange force that sucks you into this place. It’s especially powerful when it’s very late and you’ve had lots of drinks. But I’m guessing that’s not the time you’re going to pull out your mobile and check the Unilocal reviews. So who cares what I write here… The pizza is ok. I mean, for NY pizza(which does suck seriously compared to other pizza’s but that’s for a different review.) The service is friendly and fast… but oh my the price. $ 3.50 for a slice is a lot compared to other places around. Then again, at the point you get sucked in here late after a long night you aren’t going to care that you just way overpaid for a slice.

Why can’t I just train myself to head west one block earlier & walk home up Greenwich to avoid getting a slice and always always regretting it when my still-drunk-ass wakes up to see a little, empty pizza box on the counter the next morning? God this pizza is nasty. And I eat it at least once a week.
