I’m not going to front this place has gone downhill but this is the one place on club-row that I still always have a good time at. Yes, I’ve seen people getting it on in VIP which is kinda gross. This one time I saw this cougar with a broken arm climb on top of drunk out of his mind Jersey shore esque guy. But this just added a distraction to our constant consuming of boozing and dancing. My partner in crime and her sisters always dance on our table/banquettes. She’s that girl who dances on anything that is elevated. We always leave Pink Elephant drunk and exhausted and in need of disco fries.

— Very pricey drinks, $ 14 for a redbull & vodka — Uppity atmosphere, sardine-packed dancefloor, long lines outside the front doors… although I was able to cut the line, I’m 100% sure that the bouncers«screen» out the butter faces — Jersey shore wannabes, or maybe it WAS actually the Situation that I saw grinding up on some silicone-breasted blonde — Lots of Europeans(some Italians tried to attack my backside, get a hint, creeps!) — However, I did meet some nice employees while my friends were standing outside for a cigarette — so I guess it’s just a pretentious vibe that the owner wants to give off, doesn’t necessarily apply to the people that work there. — Brownie points for actually having a great variety of booty-shaking music, from Euro to hip-hop and some 90’s dance hits… thumbs up! Bottom line is… only come to Pink Elephant if you know someone that can get you through the door without hassle, have a corporate business account and are«entertaining» big-breasted clients in town, mooching off of some friends that are buying a table, or think that you are among the city’s «seen and be seen» crowd and coming to PE will up your status… Otherwise, definitely not worth your time.

DISCLAIMER: Do yourself a favor. DONOTGOTOPINK I can’t say enough bad things about this place. After living in Las Vegas for 2 years and spending a lot of times at clubs I can safely say this club combines everything that sucks about clubs into one establishment. The door men act like your getting into the playboy mansion while meanwhile the place looks more like somewhere the kids visit on the jersey shore. It’s cram fucking packed, … EVERYWHERE, cause the place is too small. Even if you have a table people are stepping on your feet all the time. The girls in there are just plain trashy. There are a few hot messes here and there but nothing worth having to deal with this place for. We get there at like 11:30 cause my friend says that he will get us in for free and let us drink at his table cause he promotes there and they give him free bottles. He lets our party in and never seats us. The guys end up having to pay«discounted» 20 cover to get in. The place is dead empty like we expected so we order some drinks after checking our jackets for $ 4 a pop. $ 8 beers, and $ 12 mixed drinks which is expected, but the mixed drinks are terrible. They are in such small little glasses and the bartender doesn’t even put any alcohol in it. Anyways, my friend who is a promoter finally walks me to his table at about 1:30, by which time the place is slam packed with people and there are literally 20 of his friends trying to drink off the same bottle of Stoli. The thing evaporated in about 3 minutes, just as fast as it would pour out of the spout. The place is a trashy«wanna be» club. It wants to be intimate and private but in reality anybody with a jersey shore haircut and 30 bucks is in. It’s not private, It’s just small, there is a difference. And it’s totally over packed. The only thing that is nice about this place I could say is the lighting. But other then that there are sooo many great places in NYC I wouldn’t waste half of a night inside of Pink ever again. I’m gonna spend half of my morning today calling each of my friends who I invited here apologizing for taking them to this place last night for my birthday. That’s how awful and tacky this club was.

After going there twice, I would give this place 2.5 stars if I could. The place is beautiful on the inside — if you’re lucky enough to get in. I wouldn’t bother lining up unless you know someone or you’re on someone’s guest list. It barely has a dance floor, but it’s a nice spot if you want to sip on some drinks at a table and enjoy the company of your friends. Personally, I like to dance so I can’t say I’m a huge fan of this place. The music is decent, but the one thing I didn’t like was that you can smoke inside the club. The crowd is very European and consisted of older people(mid-late 30’s?).

yeah I know… the place is kind of small. But I like the intimacy and the lovely décor that comes with it. I wish the dance floor was a little bit bigger… so f*ing annoying that it’s surrounded by tables and people trying to walk through because it’s the only way to walk through to get to the other side of the BAR. UGH! The music is a hit or miss depending on what night you go, but at least it’s always been house music every single time. It really is Euro trash here. *shrugs, not that that matters so much to me. My favorite part about the whole club is the outrageously sweet bouncer. It must be because we were Asian that we got such special treatment. He’s our special teddy bear. ;)

This place is a lot of fun with super outgoing people who love dancing the night away. I’m not sure how i feel about the smoke… BUT I like how the crowd for the most part is pretty young and outgoing. The lights are great and set up is well thought out. The door sometimes gets ridiculous with insane bottle prices or covers but if you do get in for some kind of event or themed party it’s great. The waitresses could a nicer I do agree with the other people and they seem to try less now that it has been around for a while. I still love marquee unless you have just a ton of money to blow. or a lot of friends going. This place is probably better if you are out to people watch and mix with all decently look individuals. If you are not willing to pay for bottles, or hate bankers… you should avoid.

This place is ri-goddamn-diculous. I was forced here a few years ago for a work after party and have(for some reason or another) been back a few more times. It’s full of underage hookers, and desperate i-bankers. The waitresses are incredibly rude(even when you’re paying for 2 tables and bottle service for 20 people on a corporate Amex) and obviously the prices are laughable. I really can’t see what the appeal is about this place. It’s incredibly small, there’s no room to dance, and the crowd is like being in a bad episode of Gossip Girls. As selective as the doormen are here, I would expect a much better crowd and at least SOME kind of personality from the staff for the amount of money that people are spending.

Wednesdays ARE the new Thursdays. Or Fridays. Or whatever day people in your region go clubbing. But Wednesdays are it for The Pink Elephant. Being a self-proclaimed club snob, I really don’t go to them unless it’s a special occasion or I just HAVE to check it out. Reasons I went at 1:00 am on a school night: Forced upon me by a friend I hadn’t seen in a while; I was with my cousin who I see once a year and who had never been, even though I was the visitor and he’s the one who lives there; no waiting in line; no cover; I’m amused by the name. Good reasons and I’m glad I went. It was like West Coast hip-hop/rap/whatever meets East Coast demographic. I loved that it wasn’t all Asian people in there as is usually case with clubs I’ve been to in LA and I didn’t feel like the oldest one in there. A diverse group of professionals, good music, they cooled you down every few minutes with a little mist that didn’t make you feel nasty, there were birthday parties everywhere, and I liked that I didn’t feel like a fight was going to break out and I was going to get shot/stabbed/mugged/groped/party-fouled. I left feeling a little deaf in one year, but had a great time. It’s the small things in life.

Smoky(they have one of those smoke machines), crowded, loud, sweaty, and trashy. Really, if you’re over the age of 23, you’re too old to be here and probably won’t have fun. Heck, I probably would have loved it if I were 23. But since I’m not… never again. Music and drinks were pretty good, which is why it gets two stars(a.k.a. I was quickly able to numb myself into a semblance of enjoyment), but that’s about it. Wish I had some NYC-based friends who could tell me which places to avoid.
