For what its worth, the Cyn Lounge sucked. It was a pseudo dance club that became a spot for pushy bouncers, poor club promotion, and a spot for snooty patrons to toast their glass for just making it in. It was a crowded place, the drinks were expensive, but at least the music was good. Now per the website(Which is ironically under construction) the place is no longer there. Cyn is of no more. It was absolute Cyn to keep open anyways and for anyone who had been there before, it was only time before this became a reality. Now onto Aura.

I couldnt help but to corroborate Adrian P. in his honest Cyn bashing. I came to Cyn for the first time on opening night on January, only that it was called something else(Club Heaven & Hell, or something like that)… The lounge seemed promising but a bit small, and everything was fine and dandy until a troupe of New York Finest’s arrived and the music stopped… The place was operating without a booze license. This cop was in front of me, looking at my olive-clad martini, which was still full. Fast Forward to Saturday March 31. Adrian P. and I go to this new place called«Cyn» I walked in already drunk and, lo and behold, Deja-‘effin-vu… We get more drinks, but I was reticent to re-order a Martini, so I settled for a shot of jäger, just in case the cops showed again. The décor hadnt changed; I guess they thought it was cool already. True, but also sorta cramped. I go downstairs and leave Adrian P. with some girl who look like she’s about to kamikaze him… downstairs I settle in a couch and start talking with a crowd on a nearby table, they offer me a glass of vodka and then… Sunday. My room. And Im missing 45 bucks from my wallet. Oh well, at least its there.
