I remember coming to Crimson for a Company Holiday Party 2 years ago. I had a fantastic time and the place was very trendy and the selections on music was awesome. The bar had everything you can possibly imagine. But yet again, everything is amazing when the company is forking up the bill =) I wonder why this place had such bad reviews.

Had a good time in this club, a really good location, nice music and good pepole too. .About the music, nothing more to say, old school hip hop, new school, mainstream, dirty south, rnb. If you’re in NY, u should go there!

Ok… I was there about a week ago celebrating my younger sister’s birthday, but I remember having visited when it was a club of another name. My experience was so so, I got there around 12ish and there wasn’t a line… got in and the crowd was pretty small. The drinks were pretty pricey which is to be expected in Manhattan, and the DJ was mediocre… he tried to hype it up, but the atmosphere never really took off… Now for my observations in regards to NYC night life… for some reason its not what it use to be. Back in my younger days *ahem* a club like that would’ve had a line around the block by 12! I don’t know whats changing, or maybe I’m just getting older but NYC clubs and nightlife isn’t what it once was

I came here before and tore it up, shut the club down! One of the hottest hip hop dj’s I’ve heard in a club! This is a really nice, really spacious, really classy looking place. But as the night went on, it got more and more live! I was with my boy for his birthday and we had crazy fun. A bunch of fine girls were there and we had fun with them. Especially the ones who worked there… you will see. The drinks were made to perfection. They looked small but tasted great and hit hard. They were not cheap, however. Definitely a place I wish I’d heard about sooner. Might come back in the next few days.

Recently attended a holiday party at Crimson. Nice décor, cool place, good music. The bar wasn’t that great. Drinks were mediocre. Can’t really speak about the food, because it came from a different vendor/caterer. Overall a pretty cool place!

Went here for the Halloween party on a Friday night. It was an Asian party. Bar: Beware of the bartender. This Caucasian fellow(there 4 four bartenders and he is the only white one, I don’t have another way of describing him) decides that he will type in the amount of tip he deserves. I never tip more than $ 1 for each drink I buy. It’s a personal rule and I rarely stray from it. It’s a matter of principle that I crossed out his«tip» and put in $ 2 since I ordered two drinks. The drinks were small and definitely deserved at max a dollar. This is where things got ugly: When he saw my receipt, he pointed at me and said, «No.» He then proceeded to take 4 dollars out of the cash register and put it in the tip jar in defiance of my He said, «I’m going to get you thrown out of the club.» I stood there, kind of shocked and I pointed at his face and told him, «I want to speak to your manager.» He then took two dollars out of the tip jar and handed it to me saying, «There you happy?» Overall: Seriously, what kind of a**holes work here? Ridiculous. I enjoyed my time here but will never order a drink here again. Be careful of what you’re signing and don’t let a GED, drink pusher tell you what you should tip or how much to tip and bully you when you confront him.

This place is horrible, easily the worst club I’ve ever been to in the city. We got in(with a ridiculous cover for both guys and girls) and the place was super packed with the usual club mix of lightly dressed ladies and cheesily dressed guys. No room to dance anywhere on the main dance floor, but some space near the front. Drinks were watered down and shots were crazy expensive… but I guess that’s all to be expected at a club like this. The only slightly saving grace was the DJ they had there — music was pretty good. If only everything else hadn’t sucked. Which brings me to my biggest point: the worst part by far was the service. We came in as a larger group for a birthday and they gradually let all of us in as waves of 2 – 4, except for the last guy… saying he had«arrived past 12». He was a one person behind us! We all argued for several minutes and they stuck to their policy of «not letting him in unless he bought a bottle»(cost $ 300 – 600). What a ridiculous policy to not let one guy in the group in. To top it off, when a couple of us left the club, a huge lady proceeded to scream at us for using the wrong door — as if there were an obvious exit door. She then started yelling profanities at us and slammed the door behind us… … as if I ever wanted to come back anyway!

I was on vacation for about 2 weeks in NY and FINALLY old enough to experience nightlife in the city. Came to Crimson with some family and friends and had a GREAT night. I’m from LA so clubs close around 3 or earlier over here. Upon finding out that clubs on this side of the mainland close at 4ORLATER, I was ecstatic and ready to party. Though this club was small and darker than usual, the crowd was pretty great, the dj played a good mix of genres and the bouncers were chill guys. If I actually lived in NY, I’d come here just for a casual night out of fun, but it definitely has room for larger parties.

5 stars. Why? Only because there was a money machine the night I came here! Yes, I had to pay $ 20 cover charge, but that’s only because I got there past midnight. I made my money back from the money machine though. $ 27 dollars total! Yippie for free money. Oh, the club? Yea it’s nice. Good music to dance to.

I was here last night for a friend’s birthday party. It was alright. There are three levels so the club is pretty spacious, but it’s not HUGE. The lighting makes the place seem more like a lounge or a bar as oppose to a club. I wasn’t digging that. The restroom was also pretty clean. Overall, I had a good time, but I’ve been to better venues. Tips: 1.Each bartender seem to give a different price on drinks. For example, I got a glass of wine for $ 9 from the girl bartender, but the guy bartender charged me $ 11. Watch out for that. 2.On Friday nights, whisper host Asian parties here. It’s free for ladies before midnight if you mention whisper nyc;s list. The music was pretty good. The DJ played a variety of old school music and new hits.

I arrived for an all white party but couldn’t get in because my bf had shorts on. They were white so we thought that would be okay but clearly not. Girls were allowed to enter the party in shorts. Long story short… I was extremely displeased with the guys at the door and definitely gave them a piece of my mind before I left. All of the other times I have come to crimson have been a blast and I assume the party inside was wonderful but they’re getting one star for the way they handled the shorts situation. Not cool.

Ok, I ended up at this club not by choice. Typically I would’ve Unilocaled the place before going, and now that I have after having gone, I agree with the clubs ratings– is just«okay,» I give it 2.5 stars. My friend however thought it was pretty good. First, Crimson isn’t even nice looking inside. I don’t remember any décor that stood out, or anything that represented the name of the club for the matter. It’s super plain and the mirrors give the illusion that the place is bigger than it really is. There is an upstairs with the bar. Drinks are expensive. The only good thing was the music was decent and the club was packed. There was definitely a disproportionate amount of guys and girls– way more guys even though the cover for them was triple that for girls. Despite that, it was fun. The bathrooms are decent for a club and the line was not crazy to get in.

Hmmm I feel like clubs always get low reviews, but a lot of times, it really is based on who’s promoting/who’s there that night. We got in for free through Whisper, which was great. The wait was about ten minutes around 11:30ish on a Friday night. Upstairs, there’s table service, but not many people were there. Downstairs, there’s also table service, which makes for a crowded dance floor with a lot of people just sitting nearby. I wish the dance floor was bigger. The music was pretty good, a mix of hip hop and some trance. But, I’d prefer a more spacious venue next time.

Dance floors are small and crowded, and there’s a lot of showy male-‘pride rock’-standing by tables going on. Standard club etiquette of course. The music is a mix of hip-hop, reggae, reggaeton, salsa, and a few top 40 tracks. Heard some older reggaeton songs which, depending on how much you’ve had to drink, can make the place seem lame or take you down memory lane. Drinks aren’t bad. Sometimes they’re strong, sometimes weak, and the tip makes no difference. Bathrooms are usually gross. Good luck partying here in the summer = SWEATBOX.

Note: this review is based on a private party NOT the club when opened to the public. My company decided to rent out the joint for our Holiday party and I was pretty damn impressed with the setup of the place, the staff and of course the drinks. The bartenders were hooking a brotha up all night with everything(it was open bar, but still, they weren’t cheap.) The music was good. Definitely a mix and the staff were on point. Once again, this WAS a private party. From the looks of their site, they attract lots of JWows, Sammis, Snookis, Paulie Ds and Situations. Unless you’re into that, have a good time. If you’re not, like me, there are plenty of other spots around. Word.

I was apprehensive about Crimson after reading all of the terrible reviews. My friend was celebrating his birthday there, though, so what could I do? I sucked it up and hoped for the best. It was a Saturday night and our group got there early-ish(shortly before midnight). I thought the place was going to get insanely packed but luckily it didn’t. There was enough space to dance, but I thought the DJ was awful — the segues were pretty creative but less than a minute of one song would be playing before another song was quickly mixed it. I didn’t like this musical ADHD. I didn’t spend any time at the bar so I have no idea how the bartenders were. Spills were quickly cleaned up and empty glasses were quickly whisked away, which I did appreciate. In all, it wasn’t as bad as all the reviews had me thinking it was going to be. Could the music have been better? Yes. But the important thing was that our group had a lot of fun!

ok so I see some low and high reviews of this place. I guess maybe it depends on what day ur there. My experience was great. Here’s how it went: Ok so I went for New Years and bought tickets ahead of time on . I got general admission for $ 80. You know what I got for that? In the club and open bar until 2 in the a.m. And ya VIP and tables look to be a lil pricey so I say who the hell wants that? Get general admission. Your not gonna wanna sit anyways. Big dance floor, nice bartenders/bouncers and a ton of girls on the dance floor. They had a huge tv/projection of Times Square and it was all great. Oh and get there a little early cuz the line cruises by like no thing. Oh and the reason we went there was cuz it was some girls b-day. I met her that night and she was having a blast! She had no issues with her event. Im not discrediting anyone else’s reviews tho. Maybe its spotty service. What I can say is that this place is awesome for New Years!

Went here for a private event and thought it was totally fine! Not sure what’s up with all the low reviews, in fact, I was a little apprehensive b/c of them. Service was great! Solid drinks, though food was not very good(lukewarm/cold). But hey, open bar/free food= not much to complain about. Enjoyed the space, and it’s in a very convenient location!

I got in through an interesting method. I was leaving a club in the flatiron district with 2 girls when a promoter saw us walking, approached us and said we should go to his club. Since we didn’t really have anywhere to go in mind, we said ok. He got us in free and quickly. We entered the club. 1st floor: dance floor. Why were there so many girls? 2nd floor: tables/lounge area. I felt like I was in a sorority house. Why were there so many girls? Perhaps the promoter had overdone it and brought in too many girls? Great for guys, but not for the 3 of us girls. In the end, we got sick of dancing with girls and left.

What a disaster. I mistakenly came here this past Saturday night, stayed for a total of 20 minutes and practically ran the hell outta there. $ 20 cover for guys, $ 10 for girls, lol, what a waste. Overcrowded with a bunch of little douches and douchettes. Everyone here thinks they are tough guys, ayyyyee. The stage looked as if it were about to break under the 10 – 12 girls crowded on it attempting to dance– i think that’s what they were trying to do. One girl had her shoes off and was using them as they were glow sticks and she was in the Tunnel in 1998. So then– you feel the need to go out for a smoke, they make you wait by the door until enough people come back in so there is enough space outside, but of course the douches and douchettes have to push their way through to be told the same thing i was told… wait. The smoking«area» outside is a mess– too many people, throw up on the floor, cigarettes coming way too close to my eyeball. Back inside we go– the douches now would like to take photographs of each other making douchey faces and hand signals, blocking the exit of course, i finally got out and was free of that God forsaken place. This place needs to be closed down, it’s a waste. And oh yea, the music, sucks too.
