Meh. Super mundane. Came here because it was right next to the hotel I stayed at and I wanted a late night munchie. Wasn’t really worth it though. My mozzarella panini was super whatever. Staff wasn’t that friendly. Give or take it was 3am but STILL! It would’ve been nice to be acknowledged when I walked in. Only positive were their variety of drinks + chips and my lemon poppy muffin. It was pretty delish. Overall, I wasn’t impressed. Don’t need to come back.

I crave this when I’m downtown. I am overly obsessed with cream cheese, and this is the only place downtown(so far) that puts on the cream cheese like it’s my birthday(aka a lot). The bagels are always fresh and soft. The downside is that it’s relatively expensive and there is always a wait here, and, if there isn’t, they semi– ignore anyone waiting until they feel like it. But it is a tiny little deli — and I guess I am probably just blinded by the delicious-ness of it all.

Good bagels, fast service. I was literally in and out in less than 10 minutes, even with a long line. Probably not the best place to take your time picking said bagel, so make it quick! Got what I needed, no complaints.

I was staying at the Conrad and this shop is very convenient because it was right next to the hotel’s back entrance. It’s a relatively small shop with limited seating around the windows but it seems like most people get take out, so that isn’t an issue. It can get pretty crowded in the small space, but there are lots of people behind the counter to take your order. When it got crowded it seemed as if the employees were trying to clear out the place by taking everyone’s order very quickly. That’s nice if you know what you want because the service is very fast, but if its your first time like me you may feel rushed to order without properly looking at the menu. Overall this place is pretty good. Competitively priced quality New York bagels with numerous bagel and cream cheese options, plus a selection of sandwiches. For the price, quality, and quickness, I’d definitely come again.

Tasty bagels but lacked service so I think 3 stars are sufficient! Line in the morning is a pain but moves pretty fast!

The bagels are great but today I stopped in and grabbed a chicken parm sandwich and it’s absolutely disgusting. Can’t even eat it. They clearly used some sort of salsa instead of marinara or tomato sauce, and FYI; that’s not how you make chicken parm. It’s an awful mix of flavors. Not sure if someone accidentally used the wrong sauce or if this is their recipe but I’m too shy to complain so wanted to share this here.

Customer service is really bad. I bought couple of gift cards to use for future purchases. They will sell you the gift card in a heartbeat but expect you use all of it at one time or you lose the money. Now non of this was discussed when I was purchasing the gift card. Anyway really bad experience over all dealing with issue. It was not taken care of properly.

Awesome bagels but the delivery takes a long time on the weekends but otherwise a really solid place! Order online because the person picking up the phone makes mistakes in writing down the order otherwise. My favorite the is the everything bagel with scallion cream cheese! Absolutely delicious!

Unfortunately the customer service is bad. The food is overpriced. Terrible experience. The corn muffin tasted like pure flour and was too sweet for a corn muffin and had bad after taste. Yuck! I would rather go to to NYC trucks. The cashier didn’t even say thank you. She clean down counter top before even coming over to ask what I wanted.

This Bagel chain is one of the best in NYC and they do a great. This is not gonna be a place you are going to find a deal but you will find good value for your money. The 7-grain bagel is my favorite with egg and cheese. If you work in the area or happen to need some food this is a great place to get a bagel.

I think this place’s reviews are mostly based on spending tastes. I went and ordered a plain bagel with chicken salad and paid $ 10.74. That, to me, shouldn’t even be acceptable. Nonetheless, I guess some people are willing to pay that amount for something that should be less than 6 dollars. Great taste, just waaaay overpriced.

Odd to locate if you don’t know the area, but 24 hours unlike nearly everything else in the area. Staff lived up to the low expectations, as did the B&W cookie.

I am surprised by the overall low rating for Pick A Bagel. The bagels here are overall excellent. They have a crisp, yet chewy outer crust. The interior is chewy but not too doughy(if you know bagels, you know what I mean). The everything bagel isn’t too much garlic or poppy seed — it’s nicely balanced with a little of everything. They have a great selection of spreads(cream cheese). And breakfast sandwiches are nothing short of exceptional. Why four stars? There are too many people. Line management is difficult and sometimes it is just too crowded here. I’m also not a major fan of the coffee. Good stop if you work in the area or are passing through.

So here’s what happened. Yesterday, a unit in my office ordered up like 4 dozen of these bagels for a breakfast. I was not originally invited to said breakfast but happened to be passing by when I was invited in for a bagel… Mmmm bagel. I picked a plain and added some cream cheese. Great bagel! Then the admin said — everybody take some to go — «I shouldn’t have ordered 4 dozen!» Next thing I knew there’s a bag of 4 bagels in my hand. Mmmm bagels. Fast forward to tonight when I decided I wanted another bagel. I was given a couple garlic and a couple whole wheat. I toasted up that garlic and added some cream cheese. Blahhh bagel. The garlic bagel tasted SOUR. How does that happen? So gross. Probably going to toss the other garlic. Next time I’m offered up a Pick-a-Bagel I’ll be sure to stick with the plain and say ‘no thanks’ to the garlic.

Not a bad place for a bagel. They have a pretty decent selection of bagels, including my favorite: whole wheat everything with lox spread. Yes, they definitely put too much cream cheese, but I’d rather that they put too much than too little. You can always scrape off to your liking. Prices are about average, and the service moves pretty quickly. You’ll find a very diverse crowd here, from tourists to construction workers, to finance bros from Goldman Sachs, all coming for a coffee and some bagel and schmear. However, you should come here for the salad at lunchtime. You can create your own salad for just around $ 10, and you get pretty much unlimited toppings, within reason. It’s relatively unknown, and you can get a salad that’s way more filling than that of Chop’T, Just Salad, or Olives. This remains kind of a hidden gem among all the different eating spots, so just thought I would put that out there. If you don’t want to wait in line at Hudson Eats, Shake Shack, and you need something decent quickly for lunch, Pick A Bagel is definitely a viable option.

Visiting a nice bagel shop near my hotel in NYC! I order a bacon egg and cheese on a plain bagel and it was pretty delish! I have to admit that this place is nice, new and clean! The coffee is decent and the bagels are definitely good.

We were on our way to tour(eat) the city and I needed sustanance. This place was close to where we were staying and the line wasnt too long. It was full of people on their way to work and the employees kept the line moving fairly quickly. This is a take out place with pretty much no seating, and no real décor to speak of… but the bagels are displayed nicely! I ordered an everything bagel toasted with lox cream cheese. The bagel was amazingly good. It had so much flavor! The cream cheese was good as well, but there was way too much on it. I would go back, but I know how many fabulous bagel places there are… but good in a pinch!

Sometimes I just prefer straight up quantity over quality. That’s what you can get here at Pick A Bagel. I come here for their Create Your Own Salad deal: $ 8.95 for a bowl with as many toppings as you want. Yes, that’s right: as many beans, veggies, cheeses and even proteins for one low price. This place is always pretty crowded during lunchtime, but they move nice and quickly. And most people are usually getting sandwiches or bagels, so you have your pick of the salad bar with not much wait. It’s definitely a good alternative to a Just Salad or a Chop’t where you can easily spend twice as much for not nearly as much food.
