Love love LOVE the avocado toast(roasted tomatoes, feta, chia seeds on 7 grain), fresh squeezed orange juice and they have Stumpton coffee!!! Solid spot to get a tasty and healthy light breakfast.

Very rude service, even for NYC standards. To be fair and not apply this to everyone who works here, my receipt read«Tiffany.» Two stars because the espresso is great and can be enjoyed if you’re willing to overlook the horrendous customer service.

Saturday breakfast at 10 am. Very quiet and peaceful. Great coffee and delicious flaky chocolate croissant. One of the best croissants I’ve had(I eat croissants often and had them in Paris, all over NYC, etc). The breakfast sandwich was also very good. The two girls manning the counter were not so friendly(almost snooty!) but good food made up for it. The views from the dining area was perfect.

I love Olive’s, their coffee is strong and the food is solid. They have a seared tuna salad with peas and vegetable every once in awhile that I wish they had everyday because I woud literally get it everyday if they did. The food prices are way too high though. They should take $ 1 – 2 off all their food prices and even then the prices would still be high but at least manageable. BUT that being said I still pay them because I love their daily soups and salads, my only request is get better bread. Definitely reccomend this place over all the other coffee places in the area. Also Howie is awesome and makes beautiful drinks.

Best coffee in NYC! Howie is the best barista around. Food is a little overpriced but ok

This is one of the few brookfield place coffee spots and is run by an independent coffee shop owner they have two locations in battery park. They have some very tasty coffee. In addition to the coffee overings they make fresh sandwhiches and egg sandwhiches. What also makes this place nice is that they constantly change their menu by offering new daily items on the menu to keep you guessing.
It is a little bit on the high cost side but that is what you get from brookfield place and from an independent owner. This coffee café is part of my work week coffee rotation and I suggest you try it. In short: — Good coffee — A little pricey — Unique fresh cooked food items — Drink coffee and eat overlooking the hudson

The food is good but the service is TERRIBLE. Rude staff and delivery takes over 45 minutes more than what you are told. Go elsewhere.

Wanted a quick, but decent breakfast and coffee and Olives did not disappoint! Friendly staff making good coffee(they don’t do flavors, so you Starbucks people, and you know who you are, won’t like this little gem) and offering some simple options for breakfast. I had a nice a avocado toast with coffee and it couldn’t have been more pleased.

I work nearby and regularly get breakfast at Olive’s. They make amazing breakfast sandwiches. I always get the Everyday Special with bacon, Vermont sharp cheddar, and eggs. It’s so good. So tasty. I literally have dreams about this sandwich. And the coffee is amazing too. BEWARE! Olive’s is a bit on the pricey side.

The location is spectacular and the service is great. The food left some to be desired. We had a mushroom, sundried tomato and riccata cheese sandwich. The sourdough bagette was very difficult to chew through. The main ingredients were very fresh. but sundried tomato was too overpowering. If you love fresh ingredients. this is a terrific place. if you love complimentary flavors. maybe not.

Amazing place. Food is super tasty. Coffee they use is Stomptown and probably the best bean out there. Orange Juice is by far the best fresh squeezed one money can buy… largely due to the amazing oranges they bring in from Florida every day. Staff is super efficient and friendly. Owner Nick is always there talking to customers and helping them pick and choose. HOWIE, is by far the best coffee barista in lower manhattan. I’m there pretty much everyday and not changing it up anytime soon. Yes, a bit pricey but you truly get what you pay for :-)

I come to Olive’s for breakfast mostly due to its convenience and the friendly staff; At least you’re not greeted with a grimace by an unhappy worker during the already-hectic-morning rush. There’s usually a queue in the morning, but that goes by relatively quickly(5 – 10 minutes or so) and if you’re just getting coffee or something already prepared, then you’re out of there faster. I’ve had the following: — Chocolate croissant: decent — Two scrambled eggs with Italian Fontina, Sautéed Onion, and Chorizo on Pizza Bianca Roll(that day’s special): the flavor was very balanced; there was not one ingredient that overshadowed the rest. The roll was fresh and crunchy. I’d get this again. — Two Eggs Scrambled with Vermont Sharp Cheddar and Bacon on Pizza Bianca Roll(Every day breakfast sandwich): The roll was not as crunchy, almost soggy, and the egg was bland. However, the bacon was crispy and tasty. I’d avoid this one.

Olive’s is fantastic on multiple levels: Coffee, Staff, and Food. Coffee: These guys truly care about coffee and want to make sure you enjoy your experience. The Stumptown beans are great. Their espresso drinks are well made and their variety of single origin coffees is great. The cold brew is perfect during warmer weather. Generally speaking, Howie and Nick and the staff really care about the coffee. Staff: The folks working at Olive’s are awesome. Howie or Nick are always down to talk to you about the coffee(or anything else on your mind). On numerous occasions they’ve taken the time to brew something special for me, so that I could try something new. Instead of the ennui you often find at Soho and Williamsburg coffee shops, Howie, Nick, and the rest of the staff want their customers to feel welcomed and leave happy. I really can’t say enough about the folks that run Olive’s. Food: Their breakfast sandwiches and pastries are awesome. The bread used for their sandwiches is fresh and delicious. Check out their Morning Bun, it’s awesome. 5 stars for Olives. If there was a 6th star, they’d get it too.

I stopped here twice Thursday. Love the fact there is plenty of seating and the coffee isn’t too shabby. Second time round a gentleman came up and asked how my soy latte was. .I didn’t really look up and just answered truthfully that it could have beeen hotter. Oh boy i realise its the guy that served me. He introduces himself as the owner we engage in some chit chat about coffee and buisness. Next thing I know a new hot coffee appears on my table from another member of staff compliments of the house. Now that’s good customer service.

IMHO this is THE best soy latte you can get ANYWHERE, in ANY borough of NYC. This is coming from a fussy Australian who has scoured the city(and BK) for the perfect cup. It’s taken a while for the«artisanal» coffee(back home this is how we drink our coffee, none of us would stoop to a Dunkin Doughnuts, even a chippie would pick up a flat white at the crack of dawn on the way to site) to increasingly become the norm here. When Howie(Howard the barista) hands over my double shot soy latte my eyes literally roll back in my head with relief and delight. In a city where orgasmic coffee moments are few and far between,(much like my NYC dating moments), I feel incredibly blessed Olive’s opened up right downstairs from my work. This is my savior, this is my coffee church. NB: Runner ups in this city include: Abraco, EV(they do NOT offer soy); Stumptown on 8th and MacDougal, WV; Ninth Street Espresso, WV; and Lunitas, Clinton Hill, BK.

I’m so glad to see that Olives open up a new place in Battery Park City! In my opinion, you cannot find this kind of quality and freshness at any sandwich shop in New York City. Aside from freshness and great quality, the amount of «stuff» put between the bread exceeds all other gourmet sandwich shops. You won’t leave with hiccups generated from a ubiquitous dry lunch sandwich. If there happened to be a «sandwich scale of standards» where we’re judging the proportion of «stuff» to the bread(on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest) I rate Olives at 5. BTW, the bread is absolutely fantastic. Try the avocado, cheddar and sprouts sandwich! Try the chipotle-rubbed steak sandwich! Get a cowboy cookie for dessert along with some iced coffee. Toni and Nick are the owners and they are wonderful. Stay away from dry«jury duty» turkey sandwiches” and spend the same money at Olives for freshness, quality, and quantity. Prices are very reasonable.

This is one of the very few places at Hudson Eats that I haven’t tried, and I nearly gave them a one-star review after paying almost $ 11 for a sandwich that wasn’t very heroic looking despite its name, but they may be redeemed by the taste of what I was served. I have added a few photos to show the scale and appearance of the Olive’s Hero, and I was definitely put off by the fact the woman behind the counter just snatched it from the display(don’t they put fake food in such displays?), and getting something that was the lowest size to value item at Hudson Eats was disturbing, but it wasn’t a total loss. The sandwich was tasty, and the bread was satisfyingly chewy, but this place seems somewhat out of place among the higher concept and more culinarily challenging storefronts that have made Hudson Eats home.
