Came here with three girlfriends because it was such a hype over the summer. You take the elevator up from the entrance of the building and I think it was about a 20minute wait. Walking in, the first thing I noticed was how small it was compared to what I expected. It took us 10minutes to get the bartenders attention and then my friends ordered ginger-pear and I forgot whatever I had. But all of the drinks and ice cream pops are really good.($ 20) I wouldn’t say the drinks are worth the money because it’s a simple idea I can do at home, but the experience of sitting with my girls by the sunset and looking out was great! We stayed talking for hours(because we luckily got a seat) However, it really is just Popsicles in a cup. You can easily do the same and go to Central Park

There are a few things to consider when deciding whether or not Loopy is the place for you: How much are you willing to spend on a drink? Their signature cocktails are $ 20, and the rest of their menu isn’t cheap either. Are you looking for a rooftop bar with a view? Yes, Loopy is a rooftop bar. Yes, you can see part of the river. But honestly the view is unimpressive and kind of disappointing. Are you trying to Instagram? Loopy’s signature drinks are tasty. Very tasty, actually. But they’re…basic. Wine base with an alcoholic Popsicle in a big wineglass? It’s every basic Instagrammer’s dream. Loopy is a great place to bring out of towners, but it’s a fairly small space for how popular it is. Expect a 1 hour wait if you are trying for a Friday or Saturday night during the summer.

I added an extra star for the view. $ 20 alcoholic beverage with a Popsicle in it, ok fine. But the view it what it’s all about. The wait wasn’t that long, granted I went there on a Wednesday around 6pm. The rooftop itself is A LOT smaller than I thought, full of pretentious individuals who stare at everyone up and down. Getting a seat is nearly impossible. The bartenders seemed very annoyed as well. Eh, it’s cute as a one-time experience.

I ordered the Raspberry Pop Prosecco, the Prosecco taste like box wine but the pops were super good. Yes the view is amazing my first impression was WOW! But it feels more like a deck rather than a rooftop with a full bar. I was expecting more space and food options. The snacks on the menu were like gourmet airplane food. I will most definitely have to agree with what other Unilocalers are saying about Loopy Doppy but this is what makes New York such a fun city to live in. Will probably be back again in the summer time during a weekday just for the pops and the view ;)

Literally just came here just for the popsicle drank. It was a nice day and the view was decent, but the drinks were $ 20! There are other rooftop bars with a better view and bigger space. I’m glad I tried it out but would definitely say this is a one time thing kinda spot.

$ 20 posecco and popsicles $ 16 for this tiny, refrigerated charcuterie pot This spot was one-and-done for me. The view was kinda cool but everything else made it undesirable for a second visit. I was at the bar for several minutes, waiting to place my order. The bartender was in front of me the entire time, making drinks but did NOT acknowledge me at all. He was responding to other staff as they shout orders at him. He looked rushed and seemed stressed and overwhelmed. I had to ask, «do I order with you or do I have to find someone else??» before he finally acknowledge my presence and confirmed that he would be taking my order. Wonderful. If only he didn’t seem understaffed… But, the worst of the worst was yet to come. When I ordered this charcuterie, I was expecting a nice board of meat. What do I get? This small, pathetic-looking, cold pile of $#!+. I couldn’t even finish it. AND it was $ 16. Ugh.

By far the best thing about this place is the view. You can look up and down The Hudson River. The drinks are OK if you stick to wine. I guess you have to try the frozen fruit pop in Champagne once. It looks better than it tastes. Skip the snacks except maybe the chips and olives. The service is a little on the slow side, but remember, you are there for the view. It’s a good place to bring out of town guests.

Here’s what you should expect if you are trying to get prosecco pops during the sunset on a weekend. There was a 30 min wait for our group of 4, notified by text message. When we reached the rooftop, the bouncer barely confirmed our text. Once at the top, there is absolutely no seating available, as people are preying others for the next opportunity to snag a couch seat. There really isn’t much standing space by the bar either, so overall it’s a very cramped situation. When we did snag some couch seats, a girl asked us if her friend who was celebrating her birthday could take a picture on the couch. That’s how desperate the seating situation here is. At $ 20 a prosecco pop, I was expecting something great. The popsicle flavors sounded interesting! I had the watermelon mojito and my friend had the peach bourbon in prosecco. I didn’t think the popsicle flavors went with the prosecco at all. Worst part about it? I definitely would rather just make this at home without all the chaos.

Was lured to this place by all of the painstakingly instagrammed photos of popsicles in prosecco. The $ 20(plus tip and tax!) is definitely too much for what you get: prosecco of questionable quality and a boozy pop that seems to fall apart much too quickly after you let it sit in the wine. Views are definitely fantastic, but when I went it was packed(caught the after-work rush), and it was tough to find a table. Not to say that the pop itself isn’t good. I had the blueberry rhubarb rum, and it was fruity, refreshing, with just enough of a kick for me to feel the alcohol sliding down my throat. Delicious, just not worth the price. Come if you must, if only for a pretty picture and the fact that you can say you came!

Super Loopy Doopy Cute! I especially love the large round wine glasses. I seriously need a set of those. We stopped here after brunch and it was the perfect timing. It wasn’t as packed and the view was fantastic. It was my first time having one of this people’s popsicles in Prosecco and it was awesome. We tried the Raspberry pop, the Cantaloupe pop, and the Watermelon pop. I found the cantaloupe and watermelon pop to be a lot more interesting. The cantaloupe pop had fresh basil flakes in it and the watermelon pop had fresh cilantro flakes in there that made it 100x more interesting and refreshing. Comfy couches all around but a pretty small rooftop located in the Conrad building. The one bad thing about this place is that the drinks are $ 20 each… What!!! But I guess people keep coming and buying.

I couldn’t help myself after seeing everyone’s popsicle-in-a-wine-glass photo on instagram, sadly… I came here on a summer afternoon with two of my good girlfriends, and it was actually perfect timing. It wasn’t ridiculously crowded, we could find seats, and drinks were made quickly. It was also during a beautiful sunset :). So of course we had to order the famous boozy ice pop cocktail, which is a People’s Pop ice popsicle topped with chilled prosecco. I believe their popsicle flavors are on rotation, but they’re all pretty good! The day that I went I got a peach flavored one! Although delicious, at $ 20 a pop, I’m not sure I can get these very often… maybe try making them at home? hahaha… view is super nice though on a breezy afternoon!!!

I will say my fruit infused raspberry appletini popsicle drowned in prosecco was sweet and boozy. This is not a «rooftop» bar it’s a setback off the 16th floor of the Conrad Hotel. The space is very narrow with limited seating and can get very crowded. There is a check in process before entering the bar. You have to check in with a handsome devil at the Altrio bar on the atrium level. He will give you the green light to proceed up to the 16th floor. Security awaits you on 16. I would recommend you try to make a reservation if it’s a must you sit at a table. You should definitely be in good company because it would be uninteresting real quick as there isn’t much to it. My girlfriend and I were there for 3 hours and we were $ 100 in on prosecco drinks alone, no food. But we had the most honest buzzed conversation. They say there are three things that tell the truth: drunk people, kids and leggings. I would definitely visit again but it’s more like the warm up, than the race.

Came here on a Friday at 5:20PM with 2 friends. There was already a wait so I put my name in with the Atrio host in the lobby. They said the wait would be about 1 hour and they would text me when my table was ready. After an hour, we went up to the 16th floor where the rooftop bar is. Along the way, I had to show the text to multiple people, so make sure your phone has battery! The rooftop bar was very small. there were a few tall tables and maybe 15 shorter tables along the edges. The vibe was young, music good, and view okay. There was a tall table empty so we grabbed it. It was unclear who was a server and if we should go up to the bar to order but a waitress(wearing normal clothes) finally approached us to take our order. They recently updated the popsicle flavors and we tried the watermelon mojito and white peach prosecco pops. Prosecco pops are essentially alcohol infused people’s fruit pops served in a glass of prosecco. surprisingly yummy! The watermelon mojito was quite refreshingly. Each drink came out to $ 25 post tax/tip. Since the drinks were unique and good, this is a great place to check out especially if you work or live in the area but the wait(from other reviews, it seems like everyone suffered this) and price will prevent me from returning regularly.

Cute rooftop bar! A couple of my friends got there before me and put our names down on the waitlist… the wait was 2hrs! We waited at the bar on the 2nd floor — shoutout to the bartenders at Atrio! They were all fantastic and extremely helpful… and funny! When we got to Loopy Doopy, we waited another 5min at the roped off area by the elevators… the bouncer was nice. We chatted with him while we waited. When we got in, we immediately got the Popsicle and Prosecco. It was good… but at $ 20 each, I will probably opt for something else if I return. We also got the chips with truffle mayo… it was delicious! Seating was comfortable, if you can find a spot. We only stood for a few minutes before a party got up and an area opened up for us. Overall, cute place to hang out in the summer!

You’re here for the view, and that’s it[1]. As you’d expect for a rooftop bar[2] on a Thursday, it was a packed house and drinks were weak and overpriced. It was pure luck that our wait was nil, and that we managed to snag a table right away. Our group didn’t get enough sets of utensils, so eating food was a comical exercise. Our server didn’t seem impressed with the lot of us, spending more time serving other tables. [1] Your first walk to the rooftop is impressive. [2] Loopy Doopy was the best name they could come up with? Yikes.

So obviously the second I saw an Instagram of this place slash the Prosecco pops I knew that this was a) going to be neat and 2) definitely a «for the likes» type situation. I had been trying to find a crew to come here all summer, and finally came yesterday. We came around 7:30PM. This ended up being the perfect time because we saw an amazing sunset, so I recommend coming around that time for the #instagramlikes. We were told it would be a 30 – 45 minute wait(yikes) but it ended up being 5 minutes for some reason, so that was pretty neat. Wow, we really struggled with figuring out how the elevator worked — it seemed to have a mind of its own — but eventually we made our way to the roof. It’s definitely a smaller space than I imagined but props to them for keeping capacity down so it wasn’t super overwhelming. Obviously had to get the Prosecco pops. Unfortunately, with tip and tax these came out to be almost 25 doll hairs a pop aka one of the most expensive cocktails I have ever had. Frankly, it wasn’t even particularly enjoyable aside from how it looked. I also could whip up an Andre + Popsicle(oh wow, remember«itzakadoozies»? I wonder if they still have those. .. that would be a neat drink for sure) combo on my own and climb up a tree or some s**t and still wind up with a neat picture… Idk I mean this was okay and a cool«one-time thing», but I don’t really have any need to come back for that price. .. it was just okay hence the three stars.

I came here on a Monday evening so there was no waiting and my friends and I were able to get seats quickly. We ordered the Popsicle + Prosecco drinks and they are so good but so expensive. But I guess you are also paying for the beautiful view of the jersey skyline ha ha ha. Anyway, the Popsicle complements the dry bubbliness of the Prosecco very well. I also had the sea salt chips + truffle aioli. That was just OK because the chips were a bit stale. There is a hype around the Popsicle drinks, and I would say check this place out if you’ve got some money to spare!

Overall, I’d probably give it about 3.5 stars. Of course, their signature cocktail is the prosecco popsicle. They work with People’s Pops, which are unique fruity popsicles. I believe the strawberry peach one I got had vodka in it! It’s one of the more expensive drinks at $ 20. With all these factors, I’d say it’s worth the price. I found that I liked it best when the popsicle melted down completely, leaving the prosecco infused with the flavor of whatever you had! Be aware that it does become a pulpy drink.(I ended up with some small chunks in mine). If you’re not into that, then this might not be for you. The view is another great selling point — just imagine all the Instagram likes you’ll get with the view of the city(or Statue of Liberty!) behind your prosecco pop. That’s what you’re really here for, right? Just like any other rooftop bar, it does get cold up there in the evening. It’s a pretty small area, and it can get crowded easily. I can’t say much for service, other than that I was able to get my order and drink pretty quickly. The bouncer was friendly enough, so that was fine. Only negative was that the glasses may not be cleared so often! My friends and I were able to get a table as a group was leaving, and after about a half hour we decided to move their empty glasses(and their check) off the table ourselves. I definitely think this is a place worth checking out! Is it a place to go regularly? Not so much.

This is a pretty awesome bar. It’s at a great location with such a great rooftop view! The highlight is obviously the prosecco & pop, so that’s what drew is there and that’s what we got. It’s such a cute and fun drink! And it was great! I really enjoyed it. The bar is small and was very crowded when we went. It’s hard to find a seat because there are so many people waiting. But when you do finally get a seat, it’s so great to sit there with your friends and enjoy the view. Despite the crowd and the wait, I really enjoyed it!

I came here for drinks with a couple of girlfriends on a spring Friday. The views are great, and this a great spot in general. I used to come here often a few years ago when I used to work downtown. Although, they have revamped their cocktail menu since then. And by that I mean the prosecco pops. At $ 25 with tip, it sure is pricey. Although, quite delicious. I got the rum infused peach ginger popsicle and my friends got the blackberry mint. Would I come here again to have the prosecco pop? Yes Do I think it is a little overpriced? Yes Do I think they would sell more if the pops were priced at $ 15-$ 16? Yes
