Quiet mid-century pub with Good gourmet pizza. Not your sloppy, greasy, cheesy type which may disappoint some. I appreciate the service; our waiter was patient & kind. My only drawback is that the prices are a little high, which makes this place a ‘once-in-a-great-while’ type of spot. Overall, no disappointments. This parlour is a pleaser.

Service was great sitting at the bar. Got a 13″ meatball pizza, which was OK per NYC standards. Lots of entire basil leaves on top which I picked off. Crust was thin and crunchy which was great. Ended the meal with an espresso that wasn’t phenomenal. Overall it was an OK experience. I’ll second another reviewer in saying it’s someplace I’d stop by if I’m in the area but not seek out. Relatively expensive pizza, too, considering what you get for the price.

Ordered online, lady on the phone was rude! I made a large order equaling $ 300, and was tempting to cancel after dealing with her unhelpful self. Food was ok, I’ve had better Italian that this, but not bad

Delicious, classic New York pizza. Large restaurant, easy to get a table. Relaxing place.

The service was decent. The best I can say is it was pretty quick. The food was average at best. I ordered Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. The chicken was dry and tasted worse and the Alfredo was just heavy cream with not much flavor. Not sure if I’ll be back.

Dear Patsy’s Your restaurant is ALWAYS empty because your prices are too damn high! Your pizza is pretty good. But still doesn’t justify the price. That’s the reputation you have in the ‘hood.

So good! The portions were huge so I had enough for two meals after! I had the baked ziti and it really hit the spot after a night of bar hopping/a show at UCB. Warm and cozy, and also clean! It’s a cute date spot. The wine selection is great too, and cheap. My server was super nice about helping us select some good ones. We had a couple, but I really liked the moscato.

Went there for dinner very spacious. The restaurant is very long and the tables are set apart which is ideal for me. It’s very intimate,.ordered fried calamari which was delicious. Very crispy, the sauce was outstanding. Also ordered a salad with cheese and pecans excellent. The goat cheese gave it a great flavor. For the main course a large pizza half sausage and half pepperoni. The crust was nice and crispy, damn good. Overall an excellent choice. I’ve ate at the original location uptown and also on 42nd St &2nd Ave also Lloyd are grear. I prefer the Chelsea location, centrally located on Wed 23rd St, the bomb. Lastly the service was great, waitresses was very attentive.

Very good pizza. Nice thin crust that’s not too crunchy, flavorful sauce, good cheese. If this wasn’t in New York, it would definitely get at least 4 stars, but with so much great pizza available in the city, it’s respectable, but decidedly middle of the road. Overall, I would come back if I were in the area, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it!

Patsy’s was one of those restaurants that I would look forward to going to at least twice a week, their food and service was always great. Not the case any more! Service was slow and inattentive and food pretty disappointing. Maybe it was an off day I will be back to give it another try.

Oh god, the pressure of out-of-town guests asking«So where can we get really good New York pizza around here?» when you’re in a touristy part of town! We ended up trying this place on instinct, and were very glad we did. Shared a large pizza with sausage & pepperoni, and it was truly superior. High-quality meats — I’m not a pepperoni fan, but theirs won me over, big-time — crisp crust, plentiful toppings & sauce, fed four. Also got goat cheese/beet/walnut salad, also good. Very pleasant service too. And walking distance from the High Line, so take note for when Aunt Cheryl and Uncle Jim come in from Cleveland!

I am currently sitting at the bar waiting for my party to arrive. I asked if I could take my laptop out to work in the meantime. They were very accommodating and made me feel very welcome despite the restaurant’s family atmosphere. Perhaps I have spent too much time in the country as of late and have become acustomed to a lower standard in bartending service but I was pleasantly surprised to see that the bartender is both engaging and very quick at her job. Everything is poured properly and I am more than content. I will update this review as soon as I leave and go home later tonight.

Good, friendly service. Mediocre pizza. Definitely spend a few extra bucks and go to Prova where they use fresh buffalo mozzarella cheese and a yummy pizza sauce. This is a great place for kids who want shredded mozzarella from the corner store and a bland pizza sauce. When I was a particular kid, this would have been perfect. Maybe I’m more snooty now. This is Hershey’s and I want Lindt.

Here since 1933 or something like that? Sounds like a long time and with a pizzeria called Patsy’s it seems like an odd combination. I had the Caprese salad to start which was good and came with the largest lump of Pesto I have ever seen with a salad. The main entrée was a simple pizza which was an okay average at best. Service was good as we needed to eat quick and everything came together as needed to get us out in the time needed.

Completely dissatisfied with this place and my order. I put a delivery order in for a chicken parm about 7:30pm. Food finally arrived ice cold at 9:20pm. Mind you I’m less then a mile away so it’s not like I’m in the suburbs of Long Island placing this order! The food may have faired better perhaps if it was served above room temperature. It was bland at best and not worth the overpriced amount of money with the nearly 2 hour wait. I’ve ordered from several places in the area with the food arriving hot and in a timely manner. Even with over a foot of snow on the ground, my order arrived on time and still hot. First and last time I place a delivery order with this place.

So… many of you who know me know that I talk up getting the pizza-by-the-slice setup at the Harlem location. It was around the corner from my first apartment in NYC. Usually when I worked a night, I would grab one(or three) of those on the way home. Their pizza is delicious. I’d also eaten at the Harlem restaurant, which I somehow found charming. It does seem like a place Tony Soprano would have brought Gloria Trillo during their sordid affair. I liked it there. The 23rd st. location lacks the charm of the Harlem one, and I think mainly because(if I’m not mistaken) East Harlem’s was the very first one in the city. They still did a good job trying to make this one nice, but the openness of it just doesn’t feel very intimate. It’s sort of ironic that that is my complaint when this is the only place on my recent trip that I ate alone. I walked here from 46th&10th. This is also after having not walked on the streets of NYC for over seven months. So I was tired. I was hungry. And… having the fondness for the aforementioned Harlem one, but no desire to go uptown on the east side, I came here. I got baked ziti and a side of sausage. The meal was pretty much Italian comfort food — they do a decent job, but it won’t be the best meal you ever eat. I should have tried to get something more adventurous, but I was just so tired. It was kind of what I wanted, but I was somehow disappointed. If that makes sense. It was also fairly expensive for something so basic. The service was good. I think my waiter was late? So a girl sat me and helped me to start, then a dude was helping me at the end. Liked the girl much, much better. The dude waiter was too flustered in our every interaction. I was trying to read(they were actually very good about that), but seated a big family not too far away from me with a woman who was essentially screaming with every word(I think over the Sinatra-inspired music in the background). The whole experience just kind of ended up being«meh» — it may have been nicer with some company.

Customer service is HORRIBLE. I work in a customer service industry and I deal with a lot of people who work in hotels and restaurants and other service oriented venues. But, the service that I received on my first and ONLY trip to Patsy’s was HORRIBLE. I am sure food is good — but, never tasted the pizza. Well, the service was so bad that they never got to my order. Two months ago(October 4) I walked by the place. The pizza looked great, made a mental note to try it out when in the neighbourhood. Today(November 15, 2014) I was in the mood for pizza and patsy’s pizza came to mind. So, I invited a friend and we ventured down to 23rd street. It was an early dinner, we got there around 5 pm and were seated. I looked around and the pizza did look good. The waiter comes over and we place are orders. My friend orders a salad and pasta. I, of course, ordered a small pizza. My friend asked the waiter to bring his salad and pasta at the same time. Well, he bought out the salad first. Ok, that’s fine. In the next 5 min the waiter brings out the pasta for my friend and he continues to tell me that, something was broken in the pizza oven so the pizza will be a while. I nodded to the waiter, «ok» I asked my friend to please eat before the pasta gets cold. In 5 minutes or so, I ask the waiter to let me know if they will be very long with the pizza. He tells me that«he will check». He comes back and says, «a little while longer». This is not an acceptable answer. But, I stay quiet. At this point, I see other patrons receive their food plates. So, again, I call over the waiter and ask him, «is it much longer, because my friend is almost done with his food and that if that is the case than I would have to leave and go somewhere else». He apologizes and says«would you like something else, like pasta» and of course my response was«no, I came for pizza and no, I don’t want pasta». He goes over to talks to his manager, who btw, didn’t even bother to come over or look at me. They had a chat of some sorts and she walks over to the kitchen. The waiter, kind of, makes a detour and swings by my table to tell me that the manager is going to speak to the kitchen. Then he proceeds to follow the manager to the kitchen. I am not sure what they talked about, but, one thing was for sure, there was NO pizza at my table. At this point this Is getting ridiculous — so I call the waiter and I tell me that I am going to cancel the order. He runs back to the manager and again the manager made NO effort to come over and talk to me. They discuss for for a bit and that was it. I was fuming at this point, I gave the waiter the universal sign of «I will take the check». He nods and proceeds to his register. When he comes over with the check he apologizes and proceeds to give me the check — I looked at him and said«this was the worst service I have ever received and that it was insult to injury that he was going to charge us for my friends food». At this point, he runs over to his manager again. The manager, once again, true to fashion, never even looks at me. They discuss and then he goes back to his register and finally comes over. This time with $ 6 dollars off the full price of my friends pasta and salad. He apologizes and says«this is the best I can do and that he spoke to his manager and she would not do anything else». My friend pays his bill and even leaves a tip for this HORRIBLE customer service. We left and of course, true to her managerial style, no sign of her. I am sure the food is good but the customer service is HORRIBLE. I would not go back to this place, if you paid me.

I really liked this pizza. Very clean with a hint of char on it from the coal oven. The mozzarella was excellent and the sauce was bright with the fresh basil. I’d definitely go back for this pizza. Didn’t have anything else. Saw some other dishes go out but they looked pretty basic. Sticking to pizza here.
