This place is great and pays mad respect to all the men & women who protect and serve… If you are in the area and need a cold one stop by and visit O’hara’s!!!

Great atmosphere and food. The prices are pretty reasonable for the location. I cant wait to take my son to this place for his 21st.

Love this local bar. As soon as you step in you feel very comfortable. It’s really laid back which I love. Fish bowls are really good. Bouncers can be a little rude at times but besides that I enjoy going here. Waitresses and bartenders are pretty good. In relation to food, I can say Oharas has some pretty good wings. Food overall here is pretty good!

Unless every place in the area is closed, I would strongly advise avoiding this place… The ONLY thing that they can successfully do is pour a Guinness… Food is horrendous and the service is even worse. The blonde bartender with the beard acts like you’re putting him out when you ask for a drink or anything else for that matter. A complete douche! Again, with so many choices, this place ranks last!

These bartenders… these strong drinks…5 stars. So close to the 9⁄11 memorial and such a cute quaint semi-dive bar I recommend for anyone who appreciates great service and cheap prices.

We were looking for a quick and filling bite after visiting the 9⁄11 memorial. The food and drinks were great, and the service was amazing!

This low key pub gets high marks for food and service. Located near the 9⁄11 Memorial, it’s a busy place for tourists. But, the wait staff was polite, fast, and pleasant and the burgers were delicious. Definitely recommend for both tourists and locals looking for a good, quick bite.

Stopped here one night with some friends and had an awesome night. Kevin and the owner Paul could not have been better. Shared with us the 911 album and some stories about that day. Definitely recommend!

I love O’Hara’s. Such a cool bar with genuinely good bartenders. The bar is right by the 9⁄11 Memorial and closely intertwined with the experience. The walls are littered with first responder patches from all over the US. Ask a bartender why… But I will warn you they may pull out a photo album that could potentially stir up some emotions, especially after a few drinks. Best of all the place isn’t touristy nor is it overly priced like most of the area.

Stopped in to deprogram after a moving visit to 9⁄11 Memorial. The story of the Survivors’ Glass and its connection to O’Hara’s is especially moving. Upon entering, we felt«at home». Mike greeted us right away. Margaret dashed over to take our drink orders and recommended a great Irish cider. Smithwick’s for me is always a winner. The Shepherd’s Pie is like being at grandma’s. Margaret configured a chicken feast for my lactose intolerant wife with nary a second thought. We were talking with Mike about the«gut punch» regarding the neighborhood on 9⁄11 and the Survivors’ Glass. He brought us a huge photo album with photos, letters, clippings and many other tributes. The fact that O’Hara’s survived is miracle enough but how they picked up the pieces and rebuilt is a tribute to the American(and Irish) Spirit. There are many fine Irish Pubs and this ranks among the best. However, their 9⁄11 experience and stories will touch your heart. God bless!

Was in the neighborhood with exchange students #1 and #3 and #1’s twin. Had absolutely NO desire to go to the memorial(once was enough, see my review) but definitely needed/wanted/craved beer. Came in with my husband so that we were nearby to the girls but not right there. Enjoyed a SUPER friendly and chatty bartender, excellent beer selection, and touch tunes. We love touch tunes. The space is bigger than I expected for a downtown bar, has memorials to 9⁄11 that are tasteful(although I still can’t handle it), and has clean bathrooms. Service is quick and friendly and the back bar(not sure if there is a front one) has a huge amount of seating for those of us who just like to sit around and drink beer.

This is a really cool bar right by the 9⁄11 memorial. It shows a lot of history of the twin towers and the firemen who have served. They have typical bar food but I have alway been happy with what I ordered. Definitely s cool spot or check out if you are in the area.

O’Hara’s Pub NY Manhattan 9⁄11 Memorial Sunday 2nd August 2015 Four Stars After visiting the 9⁄11 memorial pools, we decided to stop by O’Hara’s to see all of the servicemen patches. I like the American feel of this bar and restaurant. I ordered beer and they handed me the bottle. No pretentious glass. I had a Shepard pie which was perfect pub fare. The piping hot ground beef with peas and carrots were seasoned nicely. The mashed potatoes were fluffy and in perfect proportion to the dish. They gave me HP sauce which was is like if ketchup and A1 had a baby. We looked at their 9⁄11 memorial book which was very interesting. The amount of patches on the walls and ceiling was super impressive.

The location is great, due to being next to such a major attraction. However, the service in there was below standard. The guy made it seem like we were bothering him almost the entire time. The burger was alright overall, nothing fancy, and definitely nothing close to any great burgers I’ve had around the city. In my opinion, there are many many many better options in the city.

One of the best things about the new One World is that you can buy your tickets on your phone. This allows us to not wait in line, so instead we stopped into Ohara’s Restaurant & Pub which is between the metro stop(currently the Rector St. stop) and the World Trade Center Pools. It is pretty much caddy corner to the South Pool. This is an Irish pub so it is nothing special about their food or drink. But they have some great tributes by hanging Police and Fire Department badges from whoever visits. You know it is legit when you see a ‘Seal Team One’ badge above the bar. Also, there were a few pictures on the wall that showed the destruction of the exterior of the pub when both of the towers fell. As I mentioned before it is nothing special, but if you just want a beer before or after seeing One World you can’t really go wrong here. They have a good selection of drinks, fast/quick service, and it is only a 5 minute walk to One World. For more information and pictures check out our site:

Good beer, but the pastrami sandwich was horrid. I asked for grilled pastrami which is what they might have done for 30 seconds after pulling it out of the microwave. The meat was rubbery and I simply couldn’t eat it. The fries were probably good 30 minutes ago when they were made. Not a good dining experience especially when we paid $ 45 for two beers and two sandwiches.
