Stopped here for beers with my boyfriend before getting on the subway to mets game. The bartender was super friendly, the drinks were very affordable and the place had a great vibe. The bartender was more than happy to charge my cellphone for me. She even surprised us with two Miller lites on the house! Would definitely stop in here again

Food was actually good. 3 – 4 stars. Service was pretty slow. Then the Check came. $ 3 for a 12 oz glass of soda. Ask for refills? You’re paying for each one. Would have been nice to know before the end of the meal.

Best place off time square. Was doing the sites with family. We were just going to have a quick drink but ended up having dinner. I didn’t get our server name(she has really cool purple hair.) but she was extremely friendly and made us feel at home. All of us really enjoyed the food I tend not to eat in that area as it is normally a tourist trap, but was glad I broke my rule.

This is a great little hole in the wall right next to Times Square. The bartender is friendly, the drinks are strong, and the location can’t be beat. They have a ton of sports playing on the tvs, so you can sit and enjoy a drink and watch the game.

This honest to God has to be the worst food I have ever had in my entire life. The food has no taste whatsoever… We sent back the cold spinach artichoke dip that was poured out a can. Our buffallo chicken pizza flatbread was just pizza sauce with hard boneless buffalo balls on top, no buffalo sauce no bacon bits as described. Will not recommend this to anybody or be back. They definitely need to change the quality of the ingredients and make sure food comes as described.

Hands down, one of the best meals we had in New York. After realizing that most restaurants either close early(after midnight) or don’t serve food late, we were beginning to think we’d have to venture to another area to get some dinner with our drinks. Fast forward to O’donoghues! It’s about 1 am by now, and we wander in expecting to hear the same thing we’ve heard at the last 5 places, ‘the kitchen is closed’ or ‘sorry, only chips/bread/apps at this time’. Delighted, we were told that the kitchen is open, but with a smaller menu. We were handed the menu to see if anything caught our eye. Everything looked pretty tasty, so we sat towards the back and ordered the chicken pot pie and the shepherds pie.(When it Rome, right? It’s an Irish pub, after all!) Both portions were huge, neither of us finished our food and let me remind you that we were starving when we arrived! Aside from the large servings, the food was completely delicious. I would strongly recommend the shepherds pie. Fresh veggies, rich and beefy filling, and mashed potatoes with a crispy crust on top. I can’t speak for the drinks, as we had two beers, but the table next to us was friendly and informed us that the fruity-martini was delish!

Hung out here on a Saturday afternoon. Sat at the bar and over I highly recommend this place. My future father in law and I ate here while my future mother in law and fiancé went to a play on Broadway not too far away. The only downside is that this pub is so close to Times Square so I’m sure it gets busy at times. However you couldn’t ask for a better Irish pub to relax at after fighting the crowds in Midtown. This is a genuine Irish pub with great beer on tap(I recommend their house brewed red ale). We ate the sampler platter of appetizers and everything was spot on. If you want solids pub food with fresh beer go there. If you’re looking for an upscale or swanky NYC gastropub this place is not for you. Overall the whole pub was very clean and service was excellent.

Not very impressed at all, should have definitely checked the reviews first. Mediocre service, mediocre food, and mediocre house brew… Our first mistake was getting the calamari… Avoid tie dish at all costs… Unless you enjoy over-deep-fried fish sticks!!! I’m not even sure if was calamari. It was so over done that it was very dark brown and heavy, not light and crispy. I almost never leave reviews but I had to in this case. If you are craving Irish Pub like we were go somewhere else.

Awful. Worst Manhattan I have ever had. Was served in a wine glass… vermouth and whisky were not stirred. Ordered Boneless wings. Obviously frozen… terrible.

Came here last night for a quick drink while waiting for the express bus for a friend. My two friends ordered a Patron Margarita($ 14) but one complained it was not Patron, but a cheaper bottle shelf Tequila. The waitress denied, but instead offered to get her a shot for an additional fee, which she declined. I ordered Ciroc, but the waitress misunderstood and brought me some sort of red wine. She informed me that, they do not have Ciroc, and would bring me a different Vodka. I declined and just got a Captain Morgan and Coke($ 9) after noticing they have a very limited bar. In sum, it was a decent bar with limited options. The waitress was a bit slow with getting the drinks and not very attentive. I doubt I’d come back, but it served it’s purpose and shielded us temporarily from the snow storm.

Went here with my wife and my son. Ordered the calamari, crab cakes, sliders, chicken tenders and spicy shrimp. Everything was tasteless and looked unappetizing. Our waitress mixed up the order and forgot about a beer for 15 min. If you want a beer at the bar then it’s a good spot but if you want to eat good food… Stay away. Hope this helps

Come for the food! Its not just a bar. Another nice lunch and my second time at O’Donoghues. We had a party of six, three adults and three teens. We made reservations through Open Table and we were seated right away. They were extremely busy and the food did take about 20 minutes to arrive but everything was hot and very good. The fries were nice and crispy. I had a burger cooked medium and it was done perfectly. My dining companions had a BLT, Gaelic burger, wings, mac n cheese and the salmon. They all enjoyed their meals as well. Our server wasn’t overly talkative but I chalked it up to how busy they were. Still, she was pleasant. For six of us, and only one beer, the bill came to $ 130.00. Not bad at all considering it’s in the heart of the theater district. Just a tip, you can order from both the bar menu and regular menu. My only complaint was that the hostess barely smiled or spoke. In addition, she didn’t give us our Opentable points nor did she even check our reservation.

I’ll be honest I shouldn’t of came to a pub for a New York steak in the first place! I give it a 5 out of ten for steak but everything else was great and our waitress was beautiful.

Really fun atmosphere! Really good and strong drinks! Nice bartender and a good place to go to have a drink(or two) during happy hour! Me and my sister in law hit this place our first night in New York and it is definitely one I will always remember. Great staff and are really friendly! We lived it so much that we brought my in laws here the same night. The BEST drink is the appletini very very good!

Okay, so we found this place on a lark walking through Time Square. Came in at about 3:30 on a Friday afternoon and by the time we left at 4:45, this place was packed and loud. Great tap beer selection, and Happy Hour drink specials that were good. Got myself a Blue Moon to start and then after the 4:00 hour hit, ordered the Appletini $ 5 special which was very good. The service here was great. Very attentive! Never had to wait for anything and our waitress was always around if we needed her. Asked for a couple of cherries for my 5 year old who was jealous I had one in my cocktail and she went right to the bar and gave him a glass with several. He was a happy camper. The space itself is beautiful. A lot of high top tables, so if you don’t like that sort of table, make sure you request a regular table. The tables themselves where beautiful as was the décor and bar itself. Very dark woody feel. Now the food. We started with an order of nachos which while plentiful, were just average. They tasted good, but nothing special. I absolutely regret not going with my gut and getting the Sheppard’s pie, but luckily, my husband ordered it. It was great. Mash was perfect texture and very tasty, and the filling was so good. The gravy oozing to the surface was delish! Will never make that mistake again. I will say for my husband it was a small portion, but for me, it would have been perfect. Now all this is not to say I wasn’t satisfied with what I ordered. Just jealous. I ordered the sliced steak sandwich, but switched out the cheddar for mozzarella instead. While the menu does say there is a horseradish cream and there is a cream on the sandwich, there was not much horseradish flavor. The steak was an awesome whole steak, strip, cooked perfect to my order and very tasty. The only complaint I have is it is served on a delish club like roll, but the roll was entirely too big for the amount of steak. Got my son the mac and cheese, and oh my, it was good. So creamy and flavorful. Not bland and dry as some bad mac and cheeses can be. We really enjoyed the food and will definitely return, but this time, I am getting the Sheppard’s pie:-)
