Tucked into a hole in the wall smack in the Theatre District off Times Square is a beautiful Irish Pub. It has been a stop for me for years now. Staffed by an eclectic mix of Irish bartenders(so Irish they still have Irish cell service) and Bronx Hispanic workers that gel so well together. Food is good. Not great but good. A bit worn but that is what I like. New posh crap is not for me. I recommend this place for a pint. Or three. Great Irish haunt to come to before a show. Has an upstairs and a main bar.

Burger super greasy — hard to finish fatty burger soaked with grease. French onion was delicious! Broccoli was thick — congealed — nothing special

Meh, good place. All reviews on here are accurate. Sorry, not much more to post other then your average Irish pub.

Average Irish pub in midtown. Guinness is served in 16 oz pint glasses which really annoys me. Imperial pint, please?! Server was flustered, which is not surprising since there were 15 of us, but she didn’t have the finesse to make up for it in other ways. Split the full Irish — mediocre — and tried bits of other people’s food. Chicken pot pie was huge but grilled chicken mixed in with what tasted a little like Campbell’s cream of mushroom. Not bad, but nothing special. Shepherds pie was decent. French fries were thin and quite tasty although definitely not made in-house. Large sports bar downstairs. Takes reservations for large parties. Probably wouldn’t go back but had a pleasant enough time.

Went there for a Sunday brunch, went with a large group, made reservations. sat on the 2nd floor looked out on a balcony. Ordered the chicken pot pie, it was good. had a flakey crust that fell apart by touch, hard large chunks of grilled chicken and veggies. My only criticism would be that the sauce would be creamier, it was more of a broth than a gravy. I’ll be back!!!

Ehh we stopped here right after getting to the city the food was terrible. I had calamari(the marinara sauce was awful) the honey buffalo wings weren’t too bad but overall price and flavor is awful. Also if you don’t like small spaces don’t even walk in! I was sat upstairs a inch away from the table next to me with customers and waitresses bouncing off of me(literally) the whole meal! Save the money and just don’t.

A smaller, non-trendy pub near Theaters/Times Square. Real friendly Irish bartender, good reasonably priced food, live music some evenings.

Cool spot near times square. We went in for a late night irish car bomb before calling it quits. The side shot was no baileys but a cheap knock off that tasted like bad irish whiskey colored white. But hey, it’s whiskey and guinness, who can complain? The dj was throwing down solid 90s-00s dance hits. Kind of odd for an irish spot, but my girlfriend was loving it.

On Brazilian day, I had the displeasure to come here for the first time. Moodiest bartender in NYC, nothing like the Irish hospitality I know.

Horrible, horrible, and uhh… horrible. Ordered a $ 9 bottle of beer and didn’t receive a glass. Naturally, I asked for a glass. The server, who was already Miss Poopy Pants, brought me an 8 oz. water glass for my 12 oz. beer. Then my chicken salad didn’t have chicken so I reminded the server that I ordered chicken. After pooping her pants again, she put chicken on it. However, it tasted horrible and the lettuce was browning and soggy; clearly nowhere near fresh.

Cute Irish pub in the Theater District. We stopped in before seeing If/Then on a cold February evening. Nice bartenders, comfortable environment and good beer/cider.

I came in to grab a bite before a show. The food is generous and hearty. Service is quick and courteous. I’m near Times Square without feeling like I’m drowning in tourism. I’m enjoying the chicken Francaise, with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. While the potatoes don’t stand up to my mother’s, they’re pretty good, and the chicken is tasty.

Not a bad place… not a great place. I had a special of the night(Philly cheese steak wrap). I was very good. Wife had a pizza, it was gross. Beer list is so, so. With all the options in this city, no need to come back.

After a day of walking around the city, a friend and I were looking for a place to chill and have a bite and a beer. I’m glad we did. I ordered the skirt steak and she got the steak sandwich. Both were delicious. The service was good and the prices were very reasonable.

It was the end of the night and we were walking back to our hotel, but wanted a drink and snack before turning in for the night so we stopped in. First, there was only a bar tender who you had to walk to to order and due to the wet floor my boyfriend kind of slipped and the bar tender refused to serve him alcohol saying he had enough. Was lame. Second, we ordered a appetizer platter and they were out of cheese sticks. After it came the food was subpar. Wings dry. Calamari was dry. So if they«let you» have a drink, that’s good… But again the bar tender was basically just a jerk, so I guess if everywhere else is closed I would go back.

Start your review… This is a great Irish Pub near Times Square. It is long and narrow — plenty of bar seating. Great beer selection on tap — not super broad, but varied. The service is fast. It has a lively atmosphere; we were there on a Monday night and there was Karaōke that started around 10:30. It is attached to the Muse Hotel, so it gets a varied crowd of tourists and businesspeople.

I was here at the end of 2012. I felt in the duty to publicize that’s a great place. Good food, excelent beers, good prices. A very friendly and cozy place. If you want to taste an original Irish whiskey, there’s where you got to go. If I’ll come again at new york, certainly I will pass at O’Briens.
