I usually come here for lunch with a friend and a lot of time we split the lunch entrees. Pad Thai is and so is the Pad See Ew. Thai ice tea is a MUST! I swear, I always order 2 and I don’t care about the re-fill price. Sometimes I drink it half way and add more water to it, but that’s just me. Also, order the spring rolls as an app. I saw an image from a fellow Unilocaler and I was convinced to try it for myself. For $ 3.95, you get 4 pieces of spring rolls(2 rolls cut in half basically) with a nice plate presentation. I prefer to go during the after-lunch hour around 1−2pm when it dies down and I am guaranteed a seat. Other than that, service is good and the servers are very attentive with my refills.

Came here on a rainy day since I was craving spicey noodle soup for lunch. The restaurant was pretty good and service was quick. Cannot give more than 3 stars cause Thai cuisine is consistently the same to me. Difficult to mess up and difficult to go above and beyond. Will return when I have another craving during my lunch break.

Came here looking for a new thai place near work. I ordered a noodle soup dish, it was alright. Problem was how long it took. My coworker who was with me ordered pad thai and his came out fairly quickly. Mine took a very long time, probably at least a half hour. Multiple orders came out before mine did, and as I stood there waiting they didn’t really say anything to me.

Went there for their lunch special. Had Basil Fried Rice with Chicken. It was relatively bland. Nothing special. Would rather go to Viv for Thai food in the area.

I went to the noodle den today for lunch. They ONLY had the pad thai noodles available and were all out of all other noodle options(egg, rice, vermicelli etc). That seems rather odd to me considering their name is «noodle den». Poor planning on their part… Food was good, ordered the Hobo noodle with beef, very flavorful. Would repeat, but only if they have other noodle options!

The best Thai restaurant in town. Friendly service and flavorful food. You cant miss it if you are in that area. 2 blocks away from Baruch college. They even had fillet fiah during lunch with choices of chilli or ginger sauce with reasonable price. Beef pad cee ew is my new favorite dish. The place was mad cool. They replicated the street food noodle stall in Thailand. The waitress is very friendly. This place is awesome.

I like Thai food a lot and this review was a bit regrettable as I wish I found a good spot for a Thai lunch without having to walk several more blocks. While it’s hard to find Thai/Asian noodle places this area of New York, it is possible and I do recommend others much more than well this place. I ordered their sticky rice/sausage appetizer and regrettably their short rib noodle soup with«rice stick noodles» after finding out they were out of the coconut noodle soup(out at 12:40, what?) Sticky Rice/Sausage came out after 10 minutes. Small for 5 bucks and it was mostly sticky rice but the flavor was pretty good. So I waited… and waited… and waited… as other people got their main dishes. Someone got a noodle soup before me even though they came in 15 minutes later. I eventually stood up a second time and finally one the waitresses noticed after I told her that it was taking a very long time. She went in there and the food came out in 2 minutes. Obviously there was some disconnect though I hinted several times that it was taking a very long time. Anyway, 25 minutes later, my soup arrives. You can see from the photos how the short rib soup is minus one extra piece that was entirely fat. No apologies or anything, just basic silence. The color wasn’t the same as the image in the menu and it was just sour. The noodles turned out to be average, borderline poor being slightly mushy and not super fresh. The little veggies in there were fine. It was mostly broth/noodles. Cost 17 dollars and something and I gave a 20 though I usually give 18 – 20 percent since the service was as good as the food. I took the rest back home and enjoyed what I could. At least I got the check quickly.

We went for noodles, a to go order-and it took 50 minutes to get our order. Others came after us and got their orders. People sitting down came after us and got our orders. The girl didn’t even check on our order, we kept complaining. I would NEVER go back there again. What a waste of time.

Really good food! The shrimp in my noodle dish were large and delicious. Went for lunch, food came very quickly. Service could use a bit of polish. A lesson: Always ask the customer if they’re done before you take their plate. I was still eating but paused to open the bill. In this second the waitress had dumped my napkin and utensils on my plate and already picked it up. What I did get to eat, before this happened, was delicious.

Exactly what I was looking for! It’s rare when I have a hankering for something and find almost exactly what I was looking for — especially in Midtown. I wanted noodles, not ramen but noodle something. Flat noodles or a noodle soup — again, not ramen, and I especially didn’t want the stuff you get from the average Asian eatery in the neighborhood where the food sits mushing around in a big vat for hours. My food took a while — I’m okay with that because it’s made to order. The service was what I expected. I got take out. The place was wicked busy — another plus — so I didn’t expect the service to be outstanding but I did get a nice cup of water for my wait, and the staff was generally pleasant. It’s small but clean. They also have good variety. Some dishes even allow for you to have a choice of noodles. My only gripe is they don’t have online ordering set up. But the seem so busy that if they did, they’d need another kitchen. I’ve eaten here 3 days in a row, non of the dishes disappointed. I know what I’m having for lunch today!

A little bit slow BUT wow, what amazing tasting food. The pork slider was simply too irresistible to even share! Had the simple Pad Thai and it delivered like a 5 star!

I have been to this place twice for lunch. I will not be going back. The first time I went, I went with 2 friends and we each ordered something different. It took a very long time for the first dish to come out, my friend’s came 10 minutes later and mine came 10 minutes after that. No apology, no discount on the bill. They had zero awareness that when people go out to eat together they might actually want to eat together. The second time I went I thought maybe the first time’s service was a fluke. It was not. I also remembered that the décor was cute, but the teeny tiny stools are terribly uncomfortable. Today my friend and I both ordered very standard, easy noodle dishes. After 30 minutes we saw two different tables of single diners, who arrived after us, each eating something that looked identical to our orders. We asked when our food would be out and they brought us the bill… nope we don’t want to pay, we would still like to eat. Another 30 minutes and we asked again where our food was. They said it would be out soon. It took a total of 1 hour 20 to get the food, again no apology, nothing was done to rectify the situation. I asked for more water and never got any. The food was super salty. We finally got the bill and we paid full price for that awful service. Everyone who works there seems to be in a fog and doesn’t realize that unless you’re out for a multi course meal, no New Yorker wants to sit at a table for almost 90 minutes for some bad noodles. Steer Clear.

I found this to be an excellent little spot, tried a lot of their noodle dishes and they never disappoint. The service is GREAT, very polite, the atmosphere very chill, nice and air conditioned. On a hot day. Warm during the cold. Lunch time it CAN get busy. And the tables can be small and cramped if you get a two seater. Very clean, I ordered the pad Thai. I found it to be delicious, great noodle texture, flavor was on point, a descent sized dish was 10 $ for lunch u can’t go wrong. I would def come back again

Tried the 5 spice pork noodle soup. The broth was meh. Sweet and sour tasting, not what I expected at all and wasn’t a fan. The pork was flavorful but a bit tough. Noodles were cooked properly, came with some veggies as well. Small bowl but filling. Cost me around $ 9/$ 10. Will be back to try something else, but def wouldn’t order this dish again.

I tried a yellow curry Chiang Mai noodle dish with large pieces of chicken in it, a sliver or two of red peppers, and crisp, uncooked soybean sprouts. The noodles were long, thin strands of yellow egg noodles. The curry was sweet, smooth, and mild. Decent place with basic wooden tables and colored metal stools. Friendly waitresses. I’m curious to see what other noodle dishes are like.

There’re a lot of thai small eats which I don’t usually get to see in other Thai restaurants. The food isn’t the greatest but tasty. Décor on the other hand is cute and cozy. Only complaint is that foods are priced a bit more expensive for the portion. I feel like it’s slightly higher up than the Hell’s Kitchen side.

Holy smokes where did this come from? Park avenue? No way! Lol, that’s what I said to my friend when she told me about this place. So far I have been here 6 times since she found it. Each time we have tried a different dish and each time we love it even more. They have a coconut noodle that I was hesitant to try because I loathe the taste of artificial coconut. It was good to the last drop. My all time favorite is the pad si ew noodles. I’ve been tempted to lick the plate… They are very good with the drinks, nice and strong, full of flavor. We loved it so much, we ordered take out after we ate so our office could try it the next day. Ohh my goodness! The flavored soaked in and tasted even better. Our coworker could not get enough of it and wouldn’t shut up about how tasty it was and was there any more.

It used to be Toon Thai and now renamed Noodle Den. The menu is also completely changed. Seems like they specialize in noodles but do offer standard Thai staples(curry etc). I used to get the lunch special from Toon Thai and I miss it. I’ve ordered take out their Pad Thai and Chicken curry. The pad Thai is on the sweeter side with not much of that lime/sour flavor. I heard that’s how the traditional(non Americanized version) is like, which maybe true, but not what I was expecting. The chicken curry is pretty standard and perfect for this wintry weather. Service is a little discouraging. The workers there did not give me the friendly Thai vibe. One time, I was there waiting for my order and one of the servers was having an argument with a large party. Apparently they were waiting for their food a long time and was given the wrong item. And one of the guests mentioned she was disappointed that the restaurant didn’t apologize nor give them discount for the inconvenience caused. There were two people working and they just started cleaning plates(a sign for, leave, please) and did not show any remorse. A simple ‘sorry’ would have been sufficient. You just lost that company as a customer. Since they are just across the street from my office, most likely I’ll be back, for take out only though.

Solid place for Thai Noodles. I come here for the Lahd Nah(pan fried noodles with gravy), and it is quite delicious here. They serve it in a bowl, so that you can keep saucing the gravy. It also comes heaping hot — yum! The other noodles that I saw come out of here all seem solid, especially the Pad Kee Mao, which smelled very fragrant with its spice. As this is new, there is almost never line here either. Thus, in my opinion, this is a solid place for Thai good.

This reincarnated Toon Thai Café is now Noodle Den. With simple menu focusing on the food made famous by Thai street carts. The integrated the stainless steel street carts into their décor and the water cups and soup sproons are also stainless steel. We stopped by for lunch and one of the chef recommended the Country Style Noodles($ 10.95) with beef; tasty, fresh, with a lot of wok crispiness(wok searing). Rated 4⁄5. I think my dish is better, I had the Chiang Mai Noodle($ 10.95); cooked with egg noodles in mild coconut curry topped with crispy noodles and fried onions. It is a soupy dish and goes better with chicken or shrimp. I was so good we lick the bowl clean. Rated 5⁄5.
