We ordered the arayess lahme and chicken shawarma roll entrée. It was delicious. My husband could not decide which one to save for his last bite… ;-)

Came here supposed to meet a friend but they flaked out on me, ended up alone. I still enjoyed it. Great ambiance with nice middle eastern scene. The restaurant reminds me of an airplane by the rows aligned of seated, cushioned and walkway for waiters and patrons. I’ve stumbled across this place happen to meet the owner when I was in the area once trying to get WIFI. Gave this place 5 stars because it’s the best and only Lebanese place I have eaten in NYC my entire life, trust me I’ve been living in NYC for few years. The only bad part was the food was good not amazing compared to other Lebanese restaurants I’ve eaten at in buffalo, NY and JP, Boston, MA. Maybe(lol) there aren’t enough Lebanese people in NYC? Otherwise I can’t complain. Inshallah :)

Www had a very good lunch at Naya Mezze. They offer many combinations so you can have a taste of all their appetizers. We enjoyed the falafel, baba ganoush, hummus, and dolmatas. The schwermer sandwiches were very good. Their beef is grass fed. This is a casual, but upscale restaurant with a very quiet and pleasant interior. We would definitely go back.

GREATFOOD&EVENBETTERSERVICE! JUSTWOW! I came here last week with my cousins that came from Greece(of course they wanted to try this place) and we had an amazing time and meal! We ordered hummus, samboosik, grape leaves and shared a mix grill platter. Emeral was our waiter for the night and he was SO professional and helpful during the whole night! I’ve been going to city restaurants for a while now and this was the best service I could possible ask for! I think the reason we kept ordering more food was just because we enjoyed the ambiance, people that worked there(especially Emerall). Can’t wait to eat at this gem again and keeping my fingers crossed that I have the same service! P. S. I was recommended the Lebanese white wine and it was amazing. Definitely try it out!

Food is truly awesome. Kind of tucked away so don’t miss it when you walk past. The hummus was great, as was the chicken Schwarma.

Naya is a nicely designed, railroad type restaurant with private booths despite its modern openness. And the food is good too! We started with the Samsooubix Jehn which tastes like Mediteranean pizza without the sauce. Love that Hamoloun(sp?) cheese. I than had the sea bass which was a very large piece of fish with a delicious sauce for dipping. The third dish was the green beans which were a bit of a let down. They tasted over cooked and were a cold dish when I expected warm. Still I’d go back — not the least reason why would be our server Henry who was gregarious and helpful and even wrote our names in Persian!

Good(and special) food, tat is always fresh. Great staff, and always good attitude. I am happy that they are little expensive, otherwise I would gain few pounds from dining here every day ;) Delicious Hummus(might be the best in the hood), generous portions, and probably the Tabule salad is something you got to add to the order, delivery or not. Henry and Willson, the coolest guys ;) Again, if not for the prices(which are equale to quality, it would be my to go on 2016).

I ant there with wife and three kids. Very interesting layout. Relaxing environment. Waiter very welcoming and helpful. Food was excellent and that is coming from someone with Lebanese background. The mixed meat platter amazing meats cooked to perfections. All mezza appetizers were perfect including rkakat taboule arayes makanek hummus and sambusek. The dessert kenafi and halawat aljeben perfect too! This place is a must if you like Lebanese food.

I have been to Naya express many times and finally am checking out the dine-in place Naya grill(with my team). Conveniently located between 55 and 56 street, Naya grill serves many good-value lunch specials, as well as daily specials which rotate during different days of week. I opted for the chicken shawarma, with eggplant, hummus and grape leaves as complementary appetizers. Priced at 17 dollars, this is probably one of the best deals in this area. Strongly recommend the shawarma — well marinated chicken meat with garlic sauce simply made the perfect combo. Towards the end of the meal, they also brought us the sesame candies. I would also like to try out some of their dinner dishes, which were not on the lunch special section. Our waiter was extremely attentive during our lunch as well! A solid five-star lunch place in midtown area!

One of my go to Mediterranean places. The space is narrow but that doesn’t take away from the food. Nice date spot, storage under the seats and there’s a nice table in the rear for large parties. The food is authentic and reasonably priced. Great lunch specials! You can’t go wrong with their chicken shwarma wrap. Ask for extra garlic spread

Have been here at least 15 times and introduced many friends to it. Used to love, but had terrible experience last night… my friend and I were so turned off we both said we won’t be coming back. The staff(we interacted with four different members) were so disinterested in helping us, it was painful. Ignored all night, had to beg for everything– from start to finish, and worst of all our waiter was abrasive and rude. When he realized we were only ordering salads(and the bill would be smaller than he’d like), the hand gestures, comments and treatment were so demeaning I wanted to walk out.

Naya Mezze & Grill is the original fine dining version of what some know as Naya Express. Naya Express is the fast casual version of this restaurant. I recommend a few things — the rekakat(three cheese pastry), jebne(this is in Naya express — like a small tasty cheese pizza), tabolue and spicy shrimp for appetizers. As for the entrée — go with the chicken kebab or lamb chops. As for desert the pistachio ice cream and the baklava was the best. I might not be spelling all these items correctly but hopefully I am close. Our waiter Henry was very helpful with menu choices and provided great service. I highly recommend Naya. It’s a small restaurant with trendy seating and fair prices.

The food here was pretty great, BUT it’s actually quite pricey for Mediterranean food standards. Hummus is a whopping $ 7 here, which is pretty steep considering how much it costs to make hummus. The entrees itself are all $ 20+ per person — don’t get me wrong, I did enjoy the food(the kabobs were very yummy and had a lot of flavor!), but would most likely not visit again because of the steep bill. Interesting décor — they really made the best of the small size of their restaurant!

It’s a kind of cute place for a date… with the long, narrow and dimly lit front section of the restaurant. I was here with a friend and we decided to get a few small dishes and share. We ordered the babganoush, the halloumi, kibbe and grape leaves. It was pretty good, but I’ve had better food. I think it was just basic food served in a fancy setting, and I think I’d be happier trying Naya Express than going back to this spot. It was good but just didn’t make an impression.

The food here is divine. We had hummus and pita, falafel, and the beef shawarma wrap and all of it was delicious and fresh. The space is utilized very well — there are cubbies underneath the seats(which are raised — nice touch) for storing winter coats and extra bags. The bathroom is clean(although beware there’s a mirror on the ceiling, which was an awkward realization for me). My only complaint is that the bus staff is overzealous, perhaps even aggressive. They took aware our food before we were done and then went to take a second plate as well, but my wife shot the gentlemen a «please don’t take my food away» glance and he slowly backed off. The second you look even remotely done with a dish, prepare to have it swiped away(I grabbed the little bowl of tahini and moved it to my actual plate so that it wouldn’t get taken from me). Regardless, the staff is all friendly and seemed excited about being there so I’m a fan!

Lousy! My coworkers really hyped this place up, so I was excited to try. Delivery time was decent considering we just had a blizzard. On to the food, the beef and chicken schwarma were dry and the wrapping fell apart immediately. The falafel was tasteless. The only things i liked were the french fries and pickled vegetables. I would much rather pay $ 7 for Halal guys than pay a premium price for Naya.

We called and made a reservation… Then went over to the restaurant. Waited. Waited, and waited some more. Two tables left… But the staff was busy talking to a customer who was picking up some takeout. I finally Walked to the two main staff people; asked when a table would be ready, and was told… «When one is ready, we will let you know.» That, as we stood by an empty table. We walked out. Based on the service and attitude, I would not waste time coming here.

I wanted a snack. My usual snack in the city is either something sweet or savory. I ordered the falafel and it was quite pricey. If it’s good, price doesn’t really bother me but ehh. It came with diced tomatoes on the bottom and slices of thin bread. I didn’t like the bread or the diced tomatoes. I love tomatoes but these had a stall taste. The falafel must have been fresh because I waited forever. These crunchy, crispy balls were spot on for texture but lacked in flavor and the sauce didn’t save it either. Overall, this was a pricey snack — it’s equivalent to the price of an average lunch meal!

I liked the trendy and modern vibe of this place. It’s really narrow but has this awesome Tron-like futuristic lighting, with mostly 2-person tables but also some 4-person ones toward the front and the back(I think). 1. Chips with dip and olives: This was delicious! Wish there were more chips. 2. Chicken shawarma sandwich: Good portions and comes with a scoop of the rice with noodles embedded in it. There was also a bowl of something that my friend got with it, but I didn’t get to try it. 3. Ground lamb dish: I actually did not enjoy this dish at all. The ground lamb was compressed into sausage-like pieces that were dry and hard. The tomato-based sauce was great, but I really could not tolerate the meat. Too bad! The rice/noodle scoop was pretty good although a bit strange on the palate. The rice could be a little crunchier instead of soft, but this is probably a personal preference. Overall, liked the ambience but felt the food was just OK.

I’ve been intrigued by this place for a while, mostly because it looks like a space ship. So, when we finally came here I was cautiously optimistic about how the food would be. The labne was a great start and had a pleasantly sour taste. My entrée was the mixed grill, so I was able to taste the chicken, lamb and beef. The chicken and beef were both excellent and cooked well. The lamb had a bit too much going on and the texture was a little grainy. The service was decent and the ambiance is actually quite nice. If you are looking for some quality Mediterranean food in midtown east with average NYC dinner prices, this is a very solid option.

In searching for a vegetarian friendly spot to take a friend for her birthday, I came across Naya. It was worth the chaos of hoofing it across town and up 2nd avenue in the middle of Friday night rush hour(gasp…) to eat here because everything we ordered was beyond, BEYOND delicious. Since I’m a fan of small plates and my friend, Mediterranean in a past life, we ordered mezze style for the table. Halloumiiiiiiiii… grilled, salty and perfect with everything, accompanied our orders of Bazzela(a pea pilaf with lots of onion, tomato and vermicelli noodle), Muhammara(spiced red pepper dip with nuts and a sweet and sour complement of pomegranate), Grape Leaves and Batata Harra(like the Lebanese version of Patatas Bravas — garlic laden fried potato cubes with coriander.) Pitas, oil and good wine tied all the flavors together. Our server was a funny man. Clearly one who loves Middle Eastern culture so much so that, despite being of Latin extraction, he shot down with a playful admonition, my request to have a little milk on the side with my after dinner Lebanese coffee. The shame! I hugged his arm and begged for forgiveness, while my friend joked it was a Greek thing. Many laughs and squeezes of his bicep later, I received my coffee as I liked it and comped by his highness. I love a place that doesn’t take itself too seriously. I can’t wait to return.

Naya has catered several office functions for me and has always been a hit among the staff. The food is not inexpensive, but on my quest to bring new flavors to my caterings, I order from there and make sure to request extra bread to overcompensate. Fan favorites: hummus, beef kibbe, spinach salad, chicken shish taouk over rice pilaf, grape leaves, and baba ganoush.

Tout était parfait! Des plats gouteux à souhait, un menu de midi excellent à prix raisonnable, pâtisseries libanaises meilleures que celles de ma mère, c’est dire! Et le service amical et chaleureux de Henri nous donne envie de revenir très vite.
