Disappointed. Started a job near this restaurant, and thought i’d check it out for lunch. Lunch menu is pre-fix, at a reasonable price. However the chicken vindaloo was not very good, and the chicken was of a poorer quality than i was used to. The service wasn’t even that attentive, and the restaurant was pretty empty. I discovered Baluchi’s down the street and that is my new lunch spot.

Moksha replaced Spice Grill in this space around a year ago. Spice Grill was a wonderful hidden gem for Indian in the financial district, so we had high expectations of Moksha. Thankfully, we were not disappointed. The staff is very attentive, but does not bother you every other minute asking you if everything is OK while you are chewing your food. We had some samosas and chick pea pancakes for appetizers, which were very tasty. The beef al piaza is an excellent blend of tomato sauce and yogurt marinated beef that had a complex combination of flavors that left my mouth with a wonderful slow burn. We will definitely go back to try some different dishes.

Came here with the fam for my sister’s birthday. First of all, it was extremely quiet. For about 10 minutes we were the only group in the place and then only a few came over the course of dinner. The wait staff was extremely attentive and friendly(not surprisingly since we were the only ones there). It is a beautiful place – there is this large Sleeping Buddha as you enter that is beautiful and this amazing fountain in the dining area. The food was good – excellent nan and everything else was average. I woudl definitely reccomend it though if you’re looking for a relatively inexpensive, good Indian place downtown.
