B10, spicy pork stir fry. So so delicious, melt in your mouth soft. I would 100% get it again. Chicken fried rice was also very good. I thought the prices were quite reasonable as well($ 14 pork and $ 9 rice). While the food came out fast(within 5 – 10 minutes), servers weren’t checking up on us so we ate the majority of the meal with an empty glass of water. Also we weren’t asked whether we wanted a regular table or with the BBQ grill; I was kind of surprised when we were led to a regular table while the restaurant was half empty. Either way, food was delicious so we didn’t mind.

This place is disgusting … Filthy grimey tables menus chairs and torture chamber bathroom. Food tastes like slimy pond or swamp water !!! The rice was good and seemed uncontaminated. I can’t believe people revisit this place or that any reviews are favorable!!!

I’ve been to this place for numerous times. The restaurant offers a big selection of legit Korean food. My favorite is the tofu stew. I didn’t give 5 stars because their waiters and waitress sometimes are not very responsive, probably because they are kept busy all the time. The restaurant is also a little crowded. However, it’s very affordable, even for penniless students at Columbia.

The really nice thing was the portion was huge so my friend and I ended up sharing one dish. And of course it came with All the condiments so it was easy to get filled. I thought our kimchee chigae ie stew was pretty salty. And the condiments were a bit strange, but perhaps more Korean than I know?

The taste is quite good. But the rice they use is terrible(always over-cooked and not rice of good quality). Also, dumplings are over-cooked. If order the rice with seafood, people would of no doubt be satisfied.

If you like Korean food, this place will make you fall in love. It is by far my favorite Korean restaurant in New York. It is called Korean Mill and is right near Columbia University on the Upper West Side. It is a small, but not claustrophobic small, restaurant where you can also get Korean BBQ. My personal favorites are their lunch boxes and their Bi Bim Bap. In the neighborhood or not, it is worth the trip.

As a Korean, I’m confident to say they are not very authentic. They use cheep, not-authentic ingredients and the food tastes like it’s been frozen and refrozen multiple times. Do not eat here.

Craving for some Korean food today so we came to this place! It was a very bad decision. Worst Korean food ever! They use low quality meat but charge for restaurant price, seriously, won’t come back again!

I’m not a connoisseur of Korean food but I really enjoyed the kimchi fried rice and the dduck bokee. The portions were ginormous! It’s a great place if you’re in the neighborhood aka don’t have time to go to ktown. The service wasn’t the best though but eh can’t have everything right?

I think they must be going through some sort of revamp, because I had a very different experience than most of the poorer reviews. Admittedly I’ve only been once a couple days ago, but the service was actually pretty much spot on? I mean not white table cloth sommelier style service obviously, but perfectly functional/polite take my drink/food order, bring it with a smile and get me my check when I need to head out. As for the food, it was pretty solid. I mean yeah, if you want to head down to 32nd street and actually know which spots are great for each dish, then sure, I would recommend you do that. Actually on second thought, since you’re already willing to make that trip, why F around? Go straight to Flushing! However, if you’re in the hood and want a k-town fix without hopping on the train, why not stick local and get some reasonable sam gye tang or bibimbap!

Take a downtown train to Koreatown(near the Empire State Building) for some great Korean food and avoid this place. I live five minutes away and have now been five times over a few years. Each time, I have been trapped in a moment of weakness craving Korean food, which is normally a favorite. The Mill Korean is a serious step below mediocre: cheap ingredients, faded décor, spotty service, and it never really feels all that clean. The bibimbop is okay, dolsot or served cold, the pajon(scallion pancakes) are underwhelming, and the mandoo(dumplings, steamed or fried) fall apart and are poorly made and poor tasting. If you really want Korean food, head to Midtown, since this is not going to satisfy you. For those whom The Mill Korean is your first and only Korean food experience, I’m sorry…

PLASTICANDHAIRALERT: I ordered sam gae tang(chicken soup-)and beef galbi() and I Got two plastic pieces in the food. Please see the recent pic to see the plastic. This is the second time since the hair incident in my gal bi tang. Went here often but I see that their food quality has decreased significantly recently.

This restaurant caught my eye in the summer when I saw diners eating outdoors with drinks that looked amazing. We decided to pass by today and have lunch. We were greeted at the door by a worker who happened to be our waiter. He didn’t smile and was very curt. He seemed rather annoyed and wasn’t pleasant. When asked about the menu, it seemed as if it was an issue we asked about items on menu and had to apologize that it was my first time in this Korean restaurant and didn’t know what was what on the menu. The food was great and arrived to the table rather fast as it was made to order. He never came back to see if we were okay or if we needed more water or anything else. The other workers who were there had to be called to bring us something to drink, wrap our meal up and bring us the bill. I wouldn’t dine there again nor would I recommend it for the treatment received.

If you are lucky, you will get ‘okay’ quality. Otherwise you will be very disappointed.

This place is bullshit. Don’t go. We paid $ 50 for the mixed Korean BBQ for 2. This consisted of the lowest quality beef, pork and calamari you can imagine, which was fried on a grill and covered in a pool of hot sauce. No marinading or barbecuing took place. After eating half of it because we were hungry, I told the server that this isn’t actually Korean BBQ. He replied, «yeah, I know… sorry.» Then brought us our check. By the way, we were the only people in the restaurant, so they had no excuse. Oh, and what the hell kind of Korean restaurant doesn’t have kimchi?!

I’m sorry for the bad review, but… I still cannot forget the pungent taste of MSG coming from the Hot Pepper Japchae dish. The noodles were literally just drowned in MSG and tasted of nothing but MSG. Also, for a $ 11 – 12 dish, it was tiny tiny tiny. I had the Sashimi Bibimbap while my parents had Yukgaejang and Mushroom Mill Dolsot Bibimbap. My dad said Yukgaejang was good but I didn’t have it, so I can’t comment but the Mill Dolsot Bibimbap was okay — not exactly flavorful but edible compared to my own bibimbap which was drenched in way too much artificial sesame oil. If not for the sesame oil, I feel like the sashimi bibimbap would have been okay; maybe ask for it on the side? The side dishes were probably the best part of the Mill experience in that they were acceptable. Oh, the bathroom is clean! And service is on par.

Thinking of the absolute best word I can to describe… horrible. Octopus dish drowning in a stir fry slop. Dumplings that were lifeless in appearance and taste. We just stared at our table in disbelief after the first bite. Suspect that the only people that come here and enjoy it must have a nostalgic connection to the food. Service: I received dish about 8 minutes before daughter received hers. Our waiter went missing in action for awhile until we found him eating at a table nearby. And they forgot our coke! Décor: Couldn’t tell because it was covered with a dusty oil slick like what you might find behind a frig or under an oven. I swear! Just look around before ordering.

I’ve been here a couple of times, each time being satisfying but not amazing by any means. I’ve ordered different played and shared with friends. We all always agree that it’s good enough to try a couple of times, but that’s all.

To be honest, really only«okay»… I came here during lunch hour because they had lunch specials(11am-3pm weekdays). Flip to the end of the menu, see bibimbap for less than $ 10, I got excited and ordered chicken bibimbap. Then came the little dishes you always get– 1. kimchi, but it wasn’t like lettuce or anything, it was like four hard vegetables, 2. mushrooms and onions(not so bad), 3. beans, and 4. some cold cucumber thing which wasn’t so bad either. They gave us a miso-soup kind of thing which was pretty delicious, but we only ended up throwing it on our bibimbap… For some reason, our bowls didn’t have rice in them, but they were on the side. It honestly was filled with lettuce– like it was a chicken salad or something, except there was no dressing. The chicken literally had no seasoning, like it was boiled chicken out of the bag and cubed then thrown into our salad. At least a lot of American salads offer a grilled chicken with SOME smoky flavor, y’know? Anyway, food was cheap but not so good. If you’re looking for good bibimbap, I think you should opt for Koreatown because this place as Korean as the atmosphere may seem(I did like the decorations though), the food is not so tasty. I can’t say much about the hotstone bibimbap, but the one served cold is … oh so cold.

Walked in the restaurant around 1 pm for lunch and it is packed. I was confused where to go at first and questioned if there were any seats left, but thankfully there was a spot open hidden in the corner. The space between each table is almost non-existent and you can definitely hear the conversations of the people sitting next to you. oops. However, it is decorated nicely with dividers and the space is mostly dark. Service was pretty good, quick and prompt, despite the fact that there were so many people, so good job to my waitress on that! Onto the food, honestly it really is 3-star quality. However, the portions are HUGE. You get 4 side dishes to start off, including kimchi, egg, seaweed, etc. And then my lunch special, the kimbap with soup was gigantic as well. The soup was a full on size and there were 12 large pieces of kimbap! I’m all about the value. :) I couldn’t finish everything and that rarely happens to a guy like me. The soup tasted a bit to artificial to me, I don’t know what seasonings and flavorings they used, but I mainly to picked out the vegetables and fish cakes. The kimbap was decent, I wished they could have used more meat. Not sure, if it was customary to do this, but I liked to eat it with the kimchi since that is heavily sauced. I actually enjoyed the side dishes because they were pretty light and nothing was too acidic or spicy. Come here for the lunch specials if you are really hungry /save for home!
