Slightly divey spot that plays great music(on Saturdays, at least). It can get pretty crowded, both at the bar and on the dance floor. A good place to go if you are looking for a place that’s not so «clean cut» in its space, but where you can enjoy a night out. No cover when I went; $ 3 optional coat check. Arrived around midnight.

I was here on a Saturday night right after New Years for my best friends birthday. Since it was 2 days after New Years, it wasn’t as packed as it should be. Nonetheless, this place is amazing. The space is huge, clean, and gorgeous. A great place to have a great time with friends, be somewhere classy and fun without having to deal with elites. I would definitely recommend! Music and drinks are on point as well.

Would’ve gotten 4 stars if their drinks weren’t so pricey. $ 9 for a gin and tonic? I’ve seen much better in NYC. The lounge is really nice though, very chill vibe, very spacious. There’s a lot of dancing space available, so you better be ready to get your groove on! Most of their music is 90s hip hop and r&b, really nice throwback for me. I had a ton of fun here, I think I’ll be back here again.

My friends and I settled on M-15 for new years because of the space, and their advertised good music and open bar. The website had advertised top 40, hip hop, and house music which they didn’t deliver on at all. They had advertised food and a champagne toast at midnight, neither of which they had(we arrived at 10:30pm, so its possible we missed the food). We even had to pay for coatcheck! There was an awful bouncer by the bathrooms who stuck his head into the women’s room about once a minute to scream SCREAM, «hurry up ladies, hurry up!» as though we were hanging out in the bathroom for fun. His patronizing attitude was alienating and aggressive, I saw many women them ask him to stop or tone it down and he refused and kept yelling. I know that new years eve is often an overhyped, expensive, pain-in-the-ass, but I’ve been lucky enough to spend 14 years of new years celebrations with this group of friends and we all agreed that this venue was the worst we have been to– the DJs didn’t even try to get anyone dancing, the staff/service were unpleasant and unprofessional, and the expensive ticket didn’t even cover the basics. If you are looking for a good time new years next year– look elsewhere– plenty of better places to spend your $$.

This place is located in Tribeca, one of the best lounges at least for free entry and just a night out with friends to get some dancing in. Not too fancy, not much VIP sections blocked off but mostly top 40 music and dancing well at least good space to dance. Free entry is good because that money can go to buying drinks. Does anyone else like to celebrate their birthday and do more than just shots and beer? Well this was the place to go last year for my friends and I. A simple night of just getting Benihana’s with another male friend turned into a night of celebrating. The last minute agenda was bar, then a lounge, then another lounge which was M-15. Drinks can get expensive, outside of happy hour prices of course. When my friend told me the itinerary, I had to let my excitement shine. It was a night filled with great company(would have invited some Unilocalers but it was so last minute). The rest of the party was there to celebrate me that night, definitely did not go thirsty. I would definitely recommend this place more for groups rather than a meet up of 1 or 2 people in total. As far as the drinks being expensive I guess it depends on what you order. I know lets say if at the bar you just say vodka and coke maybe that was $ 14 but if you ask for Ciroc and pineapple that WAS $ 18OR something ridiculous like that. My night kept going smooth because it was also stop 3 of the night, I had 1 Heineken, 1 rum and coke and 1 long island ice tea that I sipped slow to keep me going for rest of the night. Dancing wise, I mean top 40OR basic commercial rap is not for everyone. 2 chainz, Kanye and Bobby Shurda might be fine for me to dance or just chill to but there must be a way to request songs or at least it seemed that way. My friend had some Korean women with us that night, it was a party, as well as Guyanese and once the reggae and soca started playing out of nowhere I saw her comfort level on the dance floor. It was just more icing on the cake for me. I had a good time with all of the dancing and made it out of there 4 am or close to it(Friday night that lead to Saturday). I would think of even coming back next year for another bender type of party with multiple stops.

There are days when I feel like I’ve seen it all. And then I go to M1−5 lounge. On any given night, you can find a variety of crowds here. Often times, it’s college kids raving and stomping about. Other times, it’s rambunctious reggaeton urbanites. Then just last week, I stumbled upon what appeared to be an older generation dancing about at an office holiday afterparty – moms and dads going full-on YOLO mode. The bottom line here is, you’re pretty much bound to have a good time and find your crowd. And if not, maybe you’re there on the wrong night – try again next time!

Out of all the clubs I’ve been to this is my second favorite in terms of music, sometimes they played music I didn’t know which gave me a chance to grab a drink or rest my feet. There isn’t a cover charge but you will have to check your jacket in. Prices for the drinks are average, I feel like for the neighborhood it could be lower but it’s the only club around here so I guess they can charge what they like. My friends and I ordered a skittles shot which we thought was pricey until we saw how big it was but it tasted disgusting so we stuck to mixed drinks for the rest of the night. Kitchen is open late which is good, typical bar food like chicken strips and fries. I ordered buffalo wings, nothing to write home about but filling when you’ve got the drunk munchies. The set up of this place is a little weird, the bar is right in the center of the place. They have projections of music videos on the wall which is cool. Guys here are too pushy, I shouldn’t have to say no several times. But, aside from not that too terrible. The staff here is nice, I saw a girl in the bathroom who obviously had way too much to drink and her friends were trying to help and security was outside the door making sure she was ok. My only major issue with this place is there is no ventilation or air conditioning system. I came here in the middle of the winter, it was the coldest night of the year but even at one point I felt claustrophobic and hot. I could only imagine how it is during the summer. Overall, this place is pretty fun and a solid club. If I ever went anywhere and I didn’t like my back up plan would be a tie between this place and the Park in Chelsea.

we came here for my wife’s birthday, and though a few communication breakdowns occurred we overall had a great time. the DJ was pretty good, spinning a good mix of music and even throwing some great videos/visualizations up on the screens. I had informed the manager via email that we’d be expecting 15 – 20 people, and when we showed up we were allotted a small booth that could seat perhaps 6. we ended up spreading out and taking over some standing room in front of the booth, but it was a little disconcerting a first when I thought we’d have to play Human Tetris… apparently bottle service wasn’t available until a specific waitress showed up around 10PM, so for the first hour people ordered their own drinks. not really a problem, but I had been hoping to have something ready for when the bulk of people showed up, and this kinda threw a wrench into that plan. the bartenders on hand also didn’t have a printed drink menu when we got there and had to go find one, which took a fair amount of time. however, the mixed drinks were good, and not horribly overpriced like I feared, and when you managed to flag down a server it was pretty fast. bathrooms surprisingly clean. someone in our group ordered a mixed platter of appetizers and the food was actually pretty good. we got a complimentary bottle of champagne, which was a nice touch from the manager, for my wife’s birthday. no cover charges, they take reservations, and it’s pretty casual. not my usual scene but I had fun.

For some reason, I decided that all I wanted for my 32nd birthday celebration was a bottle service party. As such, Mike arranged for exactly that at M1−5. I invited some of our closest friends and plus my sister and cousins from my dad’s side for what would turn out to be a night to remember… or rather, barely remember. My only complaint is that the staff did not seem organized when we arrived, and despite Mike exchanging emails with a couple of managers, they did not seem to remember that we wanted to order individual bottles, though they knew which table belonged to us. Once this was rectified, a charming and pretty«hostess»(bottle service waitress) took care of us for the rest of the night, and was very with-it. Our bottle of Captain Morgan(there could have been more rum options on the bottle menu…) came with a large sparkler and plenty of mixers. We would have ordered another bottle or two but since it took so long for the Captain to come out, people had already started ordering individual drinks from the bar! The night was perfect otherwise. The DJ played every single hip-hop, pop, and house song I hoped to hear, and we tore up the dance floor. We stayed long after the complimentary midnight champagne came out. The atmosphere was spacious and some interesting decorations including the bottles hanging from the ceiling – very creative! As a side note, I left my stilettos there as I, at some point, changed into flip-flops that I happened to have with me. The bartender I spoke with, when I called in a panic, did not laugh at me, and I ultimately had a messenger service bring them to me at work, partially out of embarrassment and partially since I have been working a lot of long hours and had no other reason to go down to Tribeca. I would definitely return for another night of clubbing with my favorite people. I have heard that M1−5 is also a good place for company functions.

No cover!!! Yay! There is food!!! So you can eat up before you drink up!!! The music is all over the place but easy to get into and sing along. Even if you don’t like the music which I usually don’t like top 40, it is still a fun place to drink and dance

Just your standard ambiguous lounge. No cover, so that’s a plus if you wanted to check it out. The dance scene is pretty terrible here, but I’d suggest it for a large party that wants to just chill and have several drinks. Bottle service is terrible here, as the cocktail servers are understaffed, so I’d suggest against that The drinks are alright — both in taste and pricing. I found the music to be average as well. I’d say to check it out if you’re in the area/bar hopping, but don’t come here as your ultimate destination.

I could never ever figure out what this bar was trying to be. It looks like a dive(kind of), sells cheap(ish) beers(kind of), yet has these velvet curtains surrounding intimate banquettes that appear to offer bottle service. It doesn’t add up. I still liked going here after work, when I used to work in this neighborhood. It was good for large groups, because it was never crowded. We would often sit at the bar, or the non-velvet curtain section. Maybe things changed as it got later, but right after work on a weekday, it was the perfect go-to spot.

The M for M1−5 may as well stand for«mixed bag» because that’s exactly what one gets when coming here. Whether it’s a dance party or a food feast, here are a few things worth considering: * BIGINTERIOR: Got a posse by the dozens or a group of peeps looking for space to call their own? This is a good option. Boasting a renovated space with a giant bar, the vibe goes from pseudo trashy to mildly posh. That said, it can get stuffy on the weekends because the ventilation is seriously not up to par. * NOCOVER, NOPROBLEM: No one likes a cover. This alone makes M1−5 an easy choice. That and the fact the drinks aren’t terribly overpriced and reservations can be arranged also makes it a solid spot. * GOODMUSIC: Every night varies obviously, but the Euro-Tech-High-On-E musica isn’t the only thing they play here(thank goodness). Rejoice danceheads, hip hop is the genre of choice … usually. If you’re nice to the DJ, you might even get a song request. * CROWD: Like any good venue in NYC, it’s a nice mix of all faces and races. Will one still find a hint of dbaggery, riff raff, and creeper city? Absolutely. Surround yourself with good company and all will end well. * FOOD, HMM: Bar food with Asian twist is the best way I can describe the hodgepodge of a menu. There the usual wings, sliders, chicken finger options but also spring rolls, dumplings, and rice balls. Aside from the duck fat fries($ 12) I haven’t enjoyed much on the menu if at all. * SERVICE, IFFY: Play your cards right, you might not have to deal with ‘tude from any bouncers. Beware of the cocktail waitresses on a busy night, they just might be a tad understaffed. I’ve seen folks with bottle service complain over being ignored one too many times. Subjective, surely. Ultimately, one could do a whole lot worse than M1−5. It might not be my premo-destination for all things nightlife, I at least know what to expect when the time comes.

Come here with a girl friend on a Saturday night, it was still very early when we arrived, like 11pm, so the place was not crowded. The best thing about this place is that there is no cover charge and drinks are not experience. Music is sort of top-40 and the crowd is relatively young. The whole place is quite spacious. I wouldn’t come back to here again but if you are looking for a top 40 music place and an inexpensive night out, then I think here is worth a try.

Fun, unpretentious and. no cover charge! The DJ played a broad range of music with occasional interludes of 90s throwbacks. This set the atmosphere which was generally fun/laid back with people bouncing and singing along to venerated classics such as «I like big butts». On the premise: decent venue tempered by. no coat check. It’s not a hip hop club, it’s not a house club, it’s not a Latin place and it’s not karaōke bar. It’s M15.

I came here on a Friday after work and I really liked the vibe. This place doesn’t get crazy busy where it takes you 15 minutes to get a drink. Its a huge location with a really big bar. Its a bit hard to find if you don’t know what you are looking for since it just blends in with all the residential and store fronts. The drinks weren’t the best but they did the trick and the bartender was a bit on the not so nice side. She wasn’t rude or mean but it would have helped if maybe she could smile. As far as food I got to try the sliders, fries and chicken tenders. The tenders were okay nothing special but I really enjoyed the sliders and fries. As far as music it was okay nothing so special since I don’t even remember what they were playing.

If you’re in your early 20s who loves to twerk to top 40 songs and hip hop favorites from 10 years ago(or guys who want to hit on super drunk twerking young ladies), then M1−5 is the perfect place for you. Being a 30-year old who would prefer to be at Verboten or Output fist-pumping and dancing to house music– I obviously felt very out of place. Pros: * Cool layout for a lounge– A circular 360-degree bar sits in the middle surrounded by ample dance floor, followed by a 3rd level of slightly elevated private VIP curtained booths. M1−5 Lounge has a very MTV feeling to it– with the top of the bar and high walls covered with a myriad of flat-TV screens continuously playing music videos synchronized with the tracks being played. Cons: * Poor/slow service– my friend who threw his birthday party here ordered a bottle of vodka for his table, and that never came. * For the busy Friday night there were far too few bartenders. * There was little or no heating– so I ended up wearing my duck-feather coat for the majority of the time, and I noticed several others did the same as well. * I felt like there were dehumidifiers in this lounge because my throat started hurting every time I started any conversation with my friends. Perhaps this is a tactic for attendees to buy more drinks? Because it definitely worked. All in all, M1−5 Lounge is not my kind of place at all, maybe if I was 21 again and was not picky about the music…

Was recommended to this place by a friend. I had a really great night here! My friend was coming from out of town so I told her about this place and we invited some friends to spend the evening with us. I arrived at the place at around 10:00 and I was surprised to discover that there was no cover charge. No cover charge? In NYC? INTRIBECA??? That automatically made me a fan. When I got inside the place, it was pretty empty, which struck me as odd for 10:00 p. m on a friday night. I didn’t mind it much, because it gave us time to sit down, drink eat(they have a pretty good food menu), and just catch up. About an hour later, the place was packed and popping! They were playing really great music including old Jay-Z, Old Beyonce, Gold Digger by Kanye West, Teach me how to dougie, and many more amazing classics(lol). I really, really enjoyed myself in the place. This is a place I definitely will be coming to again. The only reason I did not give the place 5 stars is because at around 10:15(remember, when the place was still damn near empty?), the waitress came up to us and told my group that we had to move because another group had a reservation for the spot. Otherwise, we would have to order bottle service if we wanted to stay there. Umm, excuse me? There are about 5 other people here in the big ass club besides us and we can’t sit in what are otherwise pretty empty seats? That nudged me the wrong way, but other than that, I truly enjoyed my time!

When I first arrived here I was thinking what am I doing in this place. Its visibly a very young crowd. But this place is huge, tons of VIP’s and the actual bar itself is huge. They play the music videos to match up with the songs the DJ is playing on they’re many tv’s which is cool. It ended up getting really crowded so thankfully we had a few bottles and stayed in VIP because I can see people were stepping all over each other. But none the less after a few drinks I think I channeled my inner youth because I was dancing and singing myself. The DJ was great and good music always ends up being a good time for me. It gets boiling hot in here so dress light and have fun! PS:No cover No dress code
