Fantastic. I have gray right in front of my face so I have to get colored fairly often. Since I switched to the organic color and gloss they use here, I’ve noticed the difference In less split ends etc. I see David and am very happy with his work but it’s a great salon and If David wasn’t free and I HAD to come in, I would trust the others as well. Extremely clean, upbeat atmosphere. I also like that when needed I can get a mani while my hair is being colored.

These guys are the best! Fantastic at their craft and they go out of their way to make everyone feel comfortable.

Being blonde This is the only place In nyc that can get the perfect ashy blonde color for me without breaking my hair. The salon uses only high end products, no ammonia. My hair is healthier and prettier then ever thanks to the staff at la reve. I started going there few years ago and will only trust them with my color. Molly is great so is David for color and blowouts. Plus they always give you a glass of tea or wine. Love Le reve! Thanks for all your great service

The short and sweet version: if you are blonde, go see David. Just do it. Don’t ask questions, just go. Best blonde I’ve ever received. Yh
Long version: My normal girl was out of town for a month, so I was back to the search for someone else to do my blonde– always a daunting task. I was looking around on Unilocal and Lifebooker and the reviews seemed good, and there was a photo of a beautiful blonde done by David, so I made an appointment. From the second I sat down, I knew David cared about giving me what I wanted. He even brought out different swatches of blonde so we could be on the same page. No one has ever done that with my blonde hair. I was immediately offered wine (and had some, duh). We did a cut, style, full head of highlights, and a neutralizing gloss. It turned out better than I could’ve described.
For some reason, it’s soooo hard to find a stylist who gets that not all blondes are equal in NYC. David gets it. He gave me a pearly/​cool toned

Did a walk in Blow out with Molly and she was lovely! She knows her stuff and does the blow outs incredibly well! I’ve been to a lot of the salons in the neighborhood and no one came as close as what she achieved! Will definitely be back!
Just came for a birthday blow out with my best friend and David gave us a wonderful VIP experience with wine and everything! It was lovely! I’m never gonna forget this day! Thank you David and your team!

George is amazing. He worked with me and gave me exactly what I wanted and made recommendations on layers to give me more volume. My bayalage/​highlights are so natural and effortless, and I get so many compliments regardless of if I wear it straight or wavy, up or down. Even my UPS guy noticed and said my hair looked great!

Best facial in NYC!
I know it doesn’t look like it does a good facial but– Nadezhad rocks!!!
It’s not your typical spa, with the calm room or anything but for just a facial that really shows results this is the place.

I have been living in the neighborhood for over 10yrs and I am behind thrilled I found this salon. I went in to do a touch up on my highlights David and the team really know how to give 100 percent customer service and they want you to feel special and leave happy. My highlights came out beautiful and I was very happy with the blowout and it was nice of him to give me a complementary deep treatment. I’ve been going back to the salon ever since and there very consistent with the work as well as friendly and fun!

5 star service from Nadya!!! Make sure to get one of her facials… She uses some of the best products in the world. I’m obsessed with her! Nadya is my go-​to esthetician… She knows what your skin needs and provides services catering to your needs. She also provides other beauty services as well… Very knowledgable and just an all around beautiful human being

I recently came to this salon and went to Dawn she gave me a complete make over. She cut 10 inches off my hair and I donated my hair to locks of love… She gave me the most amazing funky hair cut I’ve ever had. I would highly recommend her to anyone! I love it!

I went to this salon last month as a walk in. Welcomed with open arms and received a cut and color by Molly. Best color and cut I have ever gotten. This salon by far is the best salon I have ever been to! George the owner and David the salon manager deserve big props as well! Went two weeks ago for a blow out and George did an amazing job. David was a pleasure to talk to. We even chatted about his makeup artist on staff. From what I can see this salon is a win/​win no matter who you encounter there. Love you guys as Le Reve!

I’ve had highlights in my hair for several years now, and I have to say — Jasmine does the best job of anyone around. Due to heavy processing, my hair was brittle and never seemed to grow much further than shoulder length. until Jasmine worked her magic! My hair is healthier and longer than ever.
Jasmine checks each foil individually, so the ones that she put in first, get taken out first. the ones that are put in last, get taken off last! While this may take more time and you might look a bit daft when you are sitting in the chair with only half your head covered, I think it was really helped my hair to rejuvinate. Like she says: «I dont believe in Fry-​Lights!»
Another thing I like about this place — they dont push the products on you. Sure, they give you a sample or two to take home, but they aren’t trying to smother you with it. Mind you, if you follow their advice, the results are worth it.

I had a horrible experience here. This was several months ago. I walked in and asked the woman when they would have an opening for a blow out. She said 8. I proceeded to leave and the guy yelled — wait what did you need? I said a blow out. We can do it now. she just told me 8, I said (3 hrs from then). He says no thats when they close.
My point in writing that is because she could not understand my directions when styling me hair either.
Styled my hair not at all close to my specifications. I tell the woman who brings over the guy who proceeds to correct me on how to explain how I want it styled? I mean saying next yo you want to say xyz?
Obviously The woman can not speak english from her wrong response to my first question. Thanks for the correction on how to ask for a style — i have been getting all over the city with no problem. Customer is always right.
Wont be back.
