Hitomi did a nice job on my lashes. she made them natural the way i liked them. she asked what i wanted and did exactly that. she was also very quick. some places it takes about 1.5 hours. but for me it was about 40 mins max. and she was very very nice And sweet when it came to booking my appointment.

Hitomi was great! I did eyelash extension and i’m very happy with the results. She is fast, caring and accurate. But more important she is a professional! Highly recommended!

WOW! I just had the most natural and perfectly eyelash extensions put on. Hitomi is the best. Her salon is a one room, one person operation, hidden inside an apartment building, but don’t let that discourage you. I have had lashes done before and they get stiff and clump and bend immediately, but not Hitomi’s. Be warned though, she is a perfectionist and very strict on hygiene rules, but you will not be disappointed.

Hitomi does a nice job with clean and sterile needles. She works out of an Upper East Side studio. She has an excellent eye and good taste, so she can help anyone who is unsure about the procedures and/or what they might want to do. I had eyeliner and eyebrows and am very happy with the results. Her touch was subtle enough so that it looks natural. I suggest that anyone prepare by ensuring that your face is entirely clean and free of makeup. I also suggest that you prepare for any eyeliner work with ophthalmic antibiotic cream, easily obtainable from your doctor or optometrist. It’s hard to avoid touching one’s eyes as they itch a little afterward, which could cause secondary infection after you leave. I am happy with the work Hitomi has done for me.

I loved Hitomi. She was professional, quick, and made my eyes look great. Her salon is in her apartment, but it is comfy and she makes you feel at home. She is no-nonsense and answers questions easily and honestly. She helps you select the eyelashes that are right for you and is efficient at putting them on, but also gentle. i love my new lashes They look amazing. I’m just hoping they last a while.

Hitomi was super sweet. i bought a lifebooker deal for 2 extension sessions, went there for 1 and forgot i have another one to use. she actually called me after it expired and asked me if i want to come in and use it! i liked the first session too, feel in asleep while she was doing the extensions and looked really good after the nap. :)

I’ve had eyelash extensions in k-town as well as when I was living in Japan and Hitomi does an excellent job! — She is extremely fast(about 1.5 hours compared to other places at 2+ hours) — I told her I had skin sensitivity(to glue or the eyelashes). Whatever she did, I had no irritation at all and didn’t even feel them on! — Very thorough, lashes stayed on for over 6 weeks

I had heard some horror stories of how my girlfriend’s eyelashes fell out post extensions, and was hesitant to try myself. But I was curious so gave this place a try. I’m so glad I did because not only did mine last a long time, they looked amazing and was easy to maintain. My tip is to follow the instructions and I highly recommend this place. It was super easy and you’ll be addicted. I’m going back tomorrow to have new ones put in.

Don’t go here for permanent makeup. I bought a Groupon deal for eye brow tatoo. She has no skills at all. I already had natural looking permanent makeup and asked her to make it little darker on top of it. She plucked most of my eye brow to very thin line and did patchy little uneven lines. I look worse than before. I went in order to spend less time putting on makeup, now I spend more because my eyebrow looks terrible without filling up uneven lines. Big mistake.

I was a little worried after seeing some of the reviews on here but I think Hitomi did an AMAZING job! I came for the permanent eyeliner(upper and lower) and it was completely pain free! I didn’t feel a single thing throughout the entire procedure. The only painful part was the numbing cream(sounds silly, i know), which I think was also for sterilization so it may have been alcohol-based; making my eyes sting upon application but that was it. The rest of the time, it just felt like Hitomi was trimming my eyelashes… I didn’t even know she had begun the procedure. She really took her time to make sure everything was done perfectly and the end result is wonderful. She gave me a very natural looking, thin line along my lash line. I definitely feel ALOT more comfortable without makeup now than before. I couldn’t be happier with my results. Recovery time was surprisingly fast too. Immediately after the procedure, there really wasn’t much swelling and although Hitomi advised bringing sunglasses(and I did), i don’t think anyone would’ve noticed that I had anything done even if I didn’t wear the sunglasses. I got it done on a Friday; the very next day, there was some swelling which was quickly alleviated after 30 minutes of on-and-off icing, and by Sunday, it was like nothing ever happened. I went to Soho and met with family for dinner and mom was admiring how ‘perfectly done’ my makeup was at which point i finally fessed up that i had gotten it permanently tattooed on my face. She was very impressed by how quick recovery was(and so was i!) Permanent make-up = best decision ever! I totally recommend everyone go to Hitomi if they want it done.

I went to Hitomi for eyelash extensions that I came across via Lifebooker. Although it is on the expensive side, I just wanted to try it. This is not an actual salon but a small room on the first floor of an apartment building which I did not mind. It was extremely clean and quiet. Hitomi is good at what she does, she explained the procedure(pros and cons) and worked with great concentration. I would definitely go back if I could continue booking via Lifebooker since she is a bit expensive.

I had a really good experience with Hitomi. I wasn’t sure after reading the reviews here, but I got such a good deal for eyelash extensions(the«Downtown» version which is 70 lashes per eye) through Lifebooker that I had to find out for myself. First of all she does work from home, but when I was there I was in a room specific for the procedures, not her living room(and I didn’t see a cat, but she did ask me if I was allergic before I booked the appointment so I’m assuming it’s there). That’s the only reason I went with four stars instead of five, since it’s always nice to walk into a pretty spa for these kinds of things. I’ve had extensions before at a few different places and have a pretty good idea of what I want now. Hitomi has a ton of different options for lengths and thicknesses and if you tell her what kind of look you want(I wanted natural which is why i went for 70 and not 90 per eye), so will have a better idea of what to use. Beyond that, you can choose from«C» shaped and«J» shaped lashes, J being more natural and C being curlier. She will hold them up to your eye and you can see what you’re getting so you shouldn’t end up being shocked by your look at the end as one reviewer seemed to be. I never felt like I was being pressured to get one thing or another. She is also very diligent about emailing for information prior to the appointment, so that’s a good opportunity to make sure everyone’s on the same page for pricing and there are no surprises. The process was easy and relaxing, and I didn’t find it painful.(I made the terrible idea of having a coffee before my appointment though, and my eyelids were twitching like crazy. Learn from my mistake and arrive anxiety free, even ready to fall asleep.)

This was a rather unfortunate experience for me. First, I made an online appointment for permanent eyeliner. She needed to change the appointment time, so she called me up at 11pm at night, which I found odd for a business. When I went to my appointment, I realized that it wasn’t really a business after all, there was no sign and it was just an apartment building. The procedure itself was extremely painful, which I suppose was to be expected. But afterwards, I got an infection in my eye that was very uncomfortable. Bottom line: for this procedure, go to a professional place of business!

If you’re looking for a professional, look no further. Hitomi is very warm and friendly and she makes you feel very wlecomed. I had the eyeliner procedure completed and she was amazing. Very patient and all the equipment was sanitary and clean. She really listens to her clients. I hardly felt a thing either. She really accomodates to your needs. Hitomi is a true artist and I would recommend her to everyone!!!
