Place was great for a date night. Our host was excellent and very attentive as was all the staff. The food was very good– over all. Their octopus was delicious– as was their plate of cheese and assorted meats. Cocktails and wine were on point. Was not a fan of the patatas bravas– but there are many other things on the menu that I will have to go back and try. Will definitely be back to this place.

Can’t believe I just got here! A welcome addition to the neighborhood for sure. Definitely a little fancier than expected but nothing wild — bar and high top tables. Came around 7 on a Monday and got seated right away. For three people we got the following and had some left over: tortilla espanola — pretty good, came with some sort of aioli dip and olives, pan con tomate — this was my favorite dish with the dip that the bread comes with being super notable, like a yogurt dip! We also had the potatoes — they were ok and the dressing on top was rather good but the potatoes were a little greasy. Shrimp — good and garlicky but not the best I’ve had. Could’ve done without them to be honest. The dates stuffed with almonds, blue cheese and wrapped in bacon was another highlight for me. We lastly got the eggplant /red pepper flatbread which was just ok — could’ve been cooked for longer. I am ALWAYS hesitant to do tapas since I have an absolute enormous appetite but was pleasantly surprised. All in all, positive experience. Looking forward to trying other things on the menu.

I came here for dinner on a Saturday night and had a very good meal. I would recommend the Patatas Bravas, very filling and tasty. I also had the Lamb Skewers which were very light and delicious, and had really good flavor. I wouldn’t recommend the pork belly or the grilled octopus, they were both good but nothing spectacular. My boyfriend and I also shared the meat/bread plate which was our favorite. For drinks I had a beer at the bar, and sangria at the table which was very good. I did see them pouring pre-mixed drinks at the bar which made them lose a star in my opinion. If a drink is costing close to $ 14 dollars I would want it to be made fresh. Aside from that little detail I would definitely come back, the service was great and everyone was very friendly and accommodating. The space is tight to be prepared to become friendly with your neighbor!

Absolutely lived up the expectations. The atmosphere has a very cool vibe, the food is unbelievably delicious and the service was amazing! Highly(HIGHLY) recommend the margaritas, the flatbread, the croquettes, the lamb skewers, the patatas bravas and of course… The Nutella chirps. The tapas are very good sized so I recommend 2 – 3 per person! Enjoy.

Nice place! Loved the lamb skewers the most of our dishes. The seasonal brussel sprouts also delighted. Normally I love Gambas al ajillo and patatas bravas, but they didn’t shine here. Wouldn’t order them again, not because they weren’t good but because I’ve had others I favor, so I’d try something different in the future. Cool & clean atmosphere but tight quarters. Excellent service.

Nice tapas restaurant with fantastic service and a great selection of small dishes. I have walked by this restaurant countless times and never even noticed it. A friend recommended it so we tried it. The server was great. Attentive and friendly despite being close to closing time when we ordered. We had mushrooms, a delicious tomato/bread app, squid, and a seafood paella– way more than enough for two to eat. Everything was delicious and my friend who doesn’t like mushrooms even liked the mushroom small plate. The only negative is that the bread and some of the seafood in the entrée and squid dish were over — charred. I don’t mind charred but a few pieces and the bread were beyond charred to blackened to the point of being burned. When I brought this up to the server as an FYI at the end of our meal she let me know with a big smile that next time I could sit closer to the kitchen to see how much they charred my food … Haha … It was closing time so I joked with my friend next time i could supervise the meal prep? Strongly recommend as a tapas place to go with friends or a date with the caveat to let them know if you don’t want your food charred too much …

$ 39 Brunch Feast is unbelievable. It’s literally a feast. So much DELICIOUS food at a great price. I’ve passed this place so many times and finally made the primo decision and went to brunch here today. Whoa. Blown. Away. 4 tapas plates + 2 entrees + dessert + unlimited sangria or mimosas for $ 39! You can’t beat that people! All of the dishes were extremely flavorful, nicely plated, and well paced through the meal. The restaurant is gorgeous too. Lots of wood, pretty warm lighting, hints of yellow to add a glow to the ambiance. Really inviting and energizing feeling. I can’t wait to go back for brunch again but even more so to try dinner.

This was one of the best brunches I’ve had in New York. A small group of us came here when they opened at 11am on a Sunday, and it was empty. Although people trickled in, it never got full, meaning this is a place you can count on to get great food without the hour-long wait. The restaurant is really well-decorated, bright, and spacious. The service was a bit slow at times, especially trying to flag down someone to get the bill, but they in no way tried to hurry us out, which is great for brunch. We just sipped on our coffee and chatted until we felt like leaving. They have an extensive menu, but we opted for the FEAST, which everyone at the table has to get. It comes with 4 small plates(choice), a choice of 2 main courses(choice) or paella, and churros for dessert. It also comes without unlimited mimosas/sangria. However, if you want coffee, that is extra(free refills). Here is what we got from the FEAST menu: 1. Coffee: Americano, actually very very well-made! I’m usually not a huge fan of Americano, but this did not taste watered down at all. Free refills. 2. Seasonal sangria and red sangria: Absolutely delicious. Not too heavy, and perfect for brunch. My friend loved her mimosa. It’s bottomless if you get the FEAST. 3. Bacon-wrapped dates: This is among the best I’ve had. The dates were large, and the bacon was fatty and generous. It wasn’t over-seared. 4. Mushroom croquettes: Wow! My only regret was that it was only one for each person. The texture of the croquettes was amazing, and the mushroom sauce that they sat on was rich and flavorful. Wonderfully mushroom-y. 5. Shishito peppers: You get many of these, and they were large. They definitely had a nice kick to them, but they were still tolerable and added a new dimension to the assortment of brunch flavors. 6. Japanese eggplant: The dip, which came in an iron skillet, was awesome. A mix of fresh eggplant and tomatoes over hummus, comes with pita bread. I asked for a loaf of bread to finish this up. 7. Eggs benedict: Again, amazingly well-excuted. The eggs were perfect in terms of the yolk consistency. The sauce was flavorful, but not heavy. The bread was crispy. Excellent. 8. French toast: Crunch on the outside, soft on the inside. Sweet, but not too sweet. Poached apple or pear over it. A great way to end the main courses. 9. Chocolate churros: I was sad that this was the end of this great meal, but it did not disappoint. You get a ton of molten chocolate to dip the churros in, so I ended up just picking up the cup and drinking the chocolate. It was a classy affair. The FEAST was $ 39 a person. For what we got, I felt that it was worth it. However, they had many other items on the menu if you just wanted a simple main course. You will not be disappointed!

Solid tapas and paella! So happy this place opened on the UES. I love tapas and there aren’t many Spanish restaurants around here. In fact, I don’t know if there is another place to get a paella better than Boqueria in this neighborhood. Easy to make reservations and not too bad of a wait even if you walk in. They will text you when your table is ready so you can also grab a drink elsewhere if the wait is too long. 4 stars because the wine by the glass is a bit pricy.

Great spot for tapas in Yorkville. I was really happy when this UES location opened after having an enjoyable experience in their Washington D.C. restaurant. I have come here now on several occasions for lunch and dinner, and it has not disappointed me to date. It can get busy on weekend nights, but I have never had trouble getting into the restaurant. They also accept reservations if you want to be on the safe side. The restaurant is large, featuring a bar near the front and plenty of table seating arrangements. There is a casual/trendy atmosphere, and service has been friendly and attentive. What especially keeps me coming back is the food and drinks — they are awesome. You cannot go wrong ordering one of many sangria options, and there is a large list of wines. I am a fan of the«Shishito Margarita,» which is shishito pepper infused tequila(gives it a nice kick) with fresh lime. Some of my favorite tapas include the patatas bravas, croquetas cremosas, albondigas, and pintxos morunos. Make sure you save some room for chocolate and/or Nutella churros for dessert. I recommend coming here with some friends or a date and sharing a myriad of tapas. I am looking forward to my next visit!

Pretty much everything on the menu is delicious. Standouts are the patatas bravas, the gambas with garlic, and the kale with pine nuts. The bacon-wrapped dates were a little dry and come in a meager portion of 3. The main reasons that this isn’t a 5-star review are 1) our waiter went AWOL and we were left sitting a good 20 – 30 minutes waiting to ask for the dessert menu and 2) we were at the half-moon table in the back that had a great view of the open kitchen but was unfortunately positioned near a vent blasting us with cold air. Tip: Best to come in a party of 2 to get seated significantly faster.

Socarrat eat your heart out. Boqueria actually has the best paella in NYC(Plus the whole staff was over the top gracious, hospitable and lovely). I usually go to the Flatiron location(Psst: I do think the actual tapas are better there. The amazing specials are often my favorite. Refer to that review). But we were at the UES location tonight* with a colleague of mine and the seafood paella was the main hit. It was so fresh, flavored and had the *perfect* ratio of oil to rice. Each piece of fish or shellfish was cooked to perfection. I was so impressed! We have been *searching* for Andalucian style paella… where I remember the paella rice that was served with saffron, fresh seafood, spices and the perfect quantity of olive oil. *this location has a very different feel than other Boquerias. The flatiron one is always packed and has a sexy vibe. This one was much less crowded and had a classy vibe.

I went here for dinner on Halloween… Michael was such a charming server, vibe of restaurant was lively and friendly, and savory dishes were very tasty. The Papas Bravas set my tongue on fire, but in a good way! Recommend them and the flat bread, for sure. Now, on to the most important dish… for dessert, order the Churros Rellenos. What can you say about crispy fried dough rolled in cinnamon sugar and filled with Nutella… um, yes please! You will find yourself moaning(it’s that GOOD) and there’s not a damn thing you can do about it!

Boqueria has earned it’s fifth star! This is our go to restaurant when I want to stay local sans kids. We have also ordered delivery from them on several occasions. Boqueria is especially good for lunch. The restaurant is adorable, love the high stools. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The bathrooms are immaculate. The sangria is delicious — I especially like the red, but you have a choice of red, white and rose. The cava is amazing. These are some of our favorites and suggestions(we have eaten pretty much everything on the menu and you can’t go wrong): Bacon wrapped dates — filled with mild bleu cheese — decadent and delicious Charcuterie(meat and cheese combo) — fantastic! Love their chorizo, delicious and not very spicy Mushroom and Serrano ham croquets — gooey deliciousness Fried quail egg on chorizo toast — amazing, they get the quail egg just right Shishito peppers– terrific Lamb meatballs — delicious Sautéed Spinach with raisins — so good Sautéed Mushrooms with Manchebo Cheese — perfect Pan con Tomato — tasty, but I wouldn’t order it on its own. It comes with the charcuterie. Crispy potatoes in garlic aioli — terrific Shaved Fennel Salad with Grilled Shrimp — this was good but not great. I am not a big fan of grilled shrimp Hangar Steak Sandwich — very good but I like the tapas too much to order this again Their marinated olives that come with the charcuterie are also worth mention — so very good Serrano ham and manchego sandwich — delicious, but I love the tapas too much to just get sandwiches Churros with Nutella — decadent French Toast with coffee ice cream — delicious So as you can tell by now, I really really really love this restaurant.

What I’ve tried: pan con tomato, patatas bravas, tortilla espanola, croquetas cremosas, Pintxos Morunos, Dátiles con Beicon, Gambas al Ajillo, Carne a la Plancha, Mejillones con Chorizo, cheese plate, various things from the market menu, Churros con Chocolate, and Churros Rellenos Tip: DEFINITELY go the traditional tapas route and share everything. You’ll want to try as much as possible. I highly recommend the croquetas and the gambas al ajilo to all new comers. Story: I’ve been here multiple times and I love it. I’ve tried multiple tapas restaurants in the city and many have been good, but I can never help but think that they’re not as good as boqueria. I’ve loved everything I’ve tried except the tortilla espanola– wasn’t a fan of the room temperature serving or the flavors. Everything else I’ve had has been absolutely delicious though. The flavors are perfect and the presentation is really nice. There is a great selection of wine and the service is always great. I was once waiting for a table, and was texted that it was ready. However, upon returning to the restaurant I found out it was not. The host was very gracious about it and offered us some complimentary sparkling wine for our trouble. I have brought multiple people to try this restaurant and they have all really loved it. The food and service is consistent and is never a disappointment. I love this place and will definitely be returning!

This place was HIGHLY recommended by a friend and I finally got the opportunity to try it after walking past several times and suspiciously eyeing the random pieces of meat(?) hanging by the window. My friends and I went for brunch on a Sunday afternoon and we were not disappointed! The service was excellent from the get go — our group consisted of a baby in a stroller and as soon as we let the hostess know that, she went in and very quickly prepared a corner table for us so that we could fit the stroller comfortably. I’m not sure why the sidebar says that this place is not good for kids, because there were plenty of kids when we were there and it seemed to be a child-friendly place. Maybe it’s a different story at night since there’s a full bar and I could see it getting pretty dark and noisy. As for the food, it was frickin’ amazing! My favorites of the day were the Tortilla Española(Spanish tortilla with eggs, confit potatoes and onions — SOGOOD) and the Paella de Mariscos(super generous amount of different types of seafood — very flavorful). We also got a few other tapas dishes to share: Dátiles con Beicon(bacon-wrapped dates — I was hesitant to try it but it turned out pretty good), Pimientos de Padrón(Shishito peppers with sea salt — great for munching in between dishes), Croquetas Cremosas(mushroom/ham croquettes — just okay in my opinion), Albóndigas(lamb meatballs — yummy!). It was a great experience overall! I would recommend coming here with a group so that you can try more things on the menu — trust me it’s worth it! I will definitely be coming back here again to try some of the other dishes that I didn’t get to try before.

I went to Boqueria today with my wife and we had such of amazing time! I came to surprise my wife for her lunch break since it’s her birthday, and it was just perfect! Even if it was my first time, Staff and Management were just awesome. We just came back from Spain(vacation) and I was looking for a good spanish place to go in Upper East Side. I saw the J5 Ramon suspended on the front, like in Spain, and I knew that it will be the perfect place. Food is tasting like in Spain and the service is just perfect. Not to much but present enough to satisfy any request. I’m recommending it big time, no mistake possible! Well done!

Boqueria is a beautiful space. It’s very bright during the day and I can imagine it’s very romantic at night. Came here to drunch on the rose sangria(add more fruit, please! because the fruit soaks up the alcohol and gets you drunk faster when you eat it…) My friend and I split the pulpo, butifarra, and the burger. All of the food is A+ across the board. One app + 2 entrees or 4 apps should be enough for two people. Those patatas bravas doe… DALE.

I found there are two things very cute at this place — the bartender with a bunny tail on his head and the wifi password, which is NutellaChurros. Back to the points of my review — wine and tapas are very nice at this place. The San Francisco red wine I ordered was very delicious. Squid, spinach, cheese platter and the dates with bacon are all good. Octopus is not recommended though. The waiter who wore a cuff on his arm served our table and he was super attentive. It must be tough to serve with the cuff on arm but he was very fast to refill the water and serve the plates.

This place has almost everything. Good ambience, wine, who doesn’t enjoy sharing tapas? Except their dishes itself aren’t what I’d call yummy. Nothing special or even something I’d ever crave as far as flavors go. But no one tried to help/seat us when me and my friend walked in. So we decided to just have a seat at the bar since we didn’t want to keep standing around. It took quite a while before we had the bartenders attention too bc he was chatting up another customer(although menus wouldve been nice by now). For a restaurant, this place rly lacks hospitality. Their tomato paste bread was a very unique experience that I didn’t appreciate. Luckily, I do like tomatoes. The grilled octopus was extremely difficult to cut through bc it was so rubbery. It was clearly overcooked in water first and to make up for the taste, drowned in paprika. Their bacon covered dates with almond and blue cheese… yeah, it’s nonexistent. Although in 2 out of 3 of the dates the almond was just stuffed in one end of the date. Patatas bravas. You don’t have much going on here because the cheese sauce is so bland except for the roasted pepper sauce beneath all the potatoes. Roasted mushroom salad is probably the 1 item I enjoyed albeit you will need the taste buds for tart foods. Their custard dessert says it’s a classic cream on the menu, which I assume vanilla. But it’s lemon. Is it just me in assuming it’d be vanilla? Good wine and company will do the trick for this place!

This non assuming little gem really has a wow factor and honestly great food. Sitting outside on a NYC afternoon in Spring and ordering tapas to share with good company is the ideal way to enjoy this restaurant. I highly recommend the following: Pan con tomate, bacon wrapped dates, croquettas, cheese board, sangria, and of course the ooey gooey Nutella filled churros for dessert! I heard the brunch here is also great. Overall there is nothing bad I can say about this restaurant. I will go again!
