Worst place to have a private party. Was told on the phone it would be $ 8 a person cover. They forgot to mention that it would be $ 8 an hour so the final bill was close to $ 800. I was planning a surprise party for my sister for her 21st birthday and the staff almost ruined the surprise several times. The staff had no idea what was going on when we explained multiple times that it was a surprise and they shouldn’t confront me when we enter. They did not provide any assistance in settling up, cleaning up or offering help during the party, yet felt it was appropriate to include a $ 150 gratuity.

Karaōke boho had cheap drinks and a very accommodating start. That’s actually an understatement considering our group’s lost credit card, hydration needs, and desire for one more song of karaōke. This is absolutely where you and your friends should finish the night. What a delight. Spacious, clean, crisp audio, and positive vibes.

Love this place. It is always on our list of things to do when we visit NYC! The crowd is friendly and the drinks plenty and strong.

This was an awesome midday spot to sing some tunes with friends and connect over some 90s songs. Great selection of songs(including bollywood) and the latest hits. Clean and great staff. Recommend!

Came here last night with a few friends for a birthday. First thing I like about this place is that they had a full bar which means I could drink get my whiskey, unlike most karaōke spots which has soju based drinks. We got a private room to do our thing and I most say by far the best song selection in new york. Staff was pretty cool. I only which they had food here also… will be back to show of my karaōke Rockstar skills at the bar area.

We’re regulars here and every time we visit it is an awesome time! The bartenders are friendly and there is every song you could think of. The sound is some of the best around. Five stars well deserved!!!

I have been to this karaōke spot twice. The first time I was there, I thought it was awesome. The second time, not so much. Could have had to do with my level of drunk at the time… They have private rooms in the basement, and they will serve you drinks but at an incredibly slow pace. During my most recent visit, one of mics didn’t work and they weren’t trying to help us fix it. Their song variety is pretty standard, however I have been to better karaōke places and probably won’t come back here again. The rooms are tiny and the sound isn’t great.

They sell coffee, iced tea, and poke here. It’s like they turned it into a quiet café-like environment during the day(in the front area.)

Wow what a fucking racist place. We spent so much money trying to sing songs and they spread across over 4+ hours. They are assholes don’t come here.

This is a place where you can sit at the bar and sing and get drinks. It’s barely a karaōke joint, barely a bar, and definitely not a karaōke bar. Songs cost $ 2 or come free with a drink(the one and ONLY good thing about this place.) There’s no cajoling the staff to give you a song or two when the bar is empty. Why? «The camera is running.» AKA, the bar staff does not have agency to do what they feel is right vs. what is mandated by management — an essential component of the comfort level of a bar.(Not to say that i was /expecting/free play — but the reason really bugged me.) When requests aren’t enqueued, a house playlist plays. But, better not get too attached to the song. Even if everyone is singing along, it’ll rudely be cut off if anyone puts in a request — and it’ll be the fault of that requestor. They don’t really care that anyone’s having a good time. Oh, so did you put in a song? There’s no intro from the bar staff. Just your name barked out over the mic. Did you want a tap beer? There’s only Kirin, and the bar staff doesn’t know the first thing about tapping beer. The CO2 is too low, and they’ll go through a whole pitcher of foam to pour your pint. Wait, not a pint. It’s a chuu-jokki(350−400ml). For the price, that’s insulting… and also wasteful. Did you want a shot? Be prepared to shell out $ 10 for even the most basic calls, like Fireball or Jameson. There’s no soul in this place — aggressively so – and the prices are too high. If you want asian karaōke, go to K-town(Gagopa /32 Karaōke are the best.) If you want western-style open karaōke, go to Baby Grand. Avoid this place.

This is my first Karaōke experience in New York, so I have no others to compare with aside from the KTVs I know from Asia. It’s Korean-run, but all the songs are in English. It’s basically a dive bar with a big screen behind the bar to play the songs. I went on a Saturday night around 9pm, and it wasn’t too crowded. The staff didn’t really interact with the customers aside from passing the mics and taking orders for the drinks. It was really nothing to write home about. Hope I’ll find a better Karaōke bar next time.

Summary: Neighborhood dive bar feel w/Karaōke. Great song list. English only in the Bar, multiple languages available in the private rooms. Free song w/drink or $ 2/each. Eat Noodles across the street at Raman-Ya. The Bar: This is a dive bar feel as are the backrooms. Manhattan doesn’t really have posh spots for Ktv, though you can check others on my list if you need something more upscale. This place is going to have liquor sticky pages that are akin to the down-home Ktv. That said, the $ 2 song if you don’t drink at the same pace of singing keeps the kids away or at least not maddeningly dominating the mic. The Song Selection: The English song selection is great. I did a range of 70s, 80s, 90’s and 00’s and most recent, all songs you’d know only if you were alive during these errors and low and behold, they were in the book. Their selection of musicals and disney songs is superior to most bars and comparable to the karaōke cave. The Crowd: I was there on a Tuesday night and it was all people 30+, which I love(no mic hogging, all adults, no out of control sloppy drunks, just chill, sing, clap for other good fun). One couple was getting a tattoo next door. This is the closest bar to that tattoos spot and I imagine that keeps this spot more colorful. Bartender Join in: The guy behind the bar is a pretty good singer. He’s great if you need someone to join you. Service is pretty quick and the drink specials make you sort of want to just buy a drink for 1 or 2 dollars more, particularly during happy hour.

This place is quite the experience. I didn’t have the best time, but it was certainly entertaining. Just a note: this review is just for the main bar area. Came here on a Friday night around midnight with my sister, who happens to be a musical prodigy. We had been spontaneously breaking into song all night(yeah, sorry, we were THOSE girls), so we figured karaōke seemed like the perfect end to our night. The place was actually pretty dead. Maybe the private rooms were a different story, but I have a feeling they were pretty – if not completely – empty too. Drinks: yuck. Do not come here if you want a good cocktail. My sister got a Midori sour which she happened to love, but whatever I got was a mess. I’m not one to let a cocktail go to waste, but I just couldn’t throw this back. Not that I was expecting a mixology masterpiece, but still quite unfortunate. Also – CASHONLY. Not sure if that applies to the private rooms, though. One nice perk about Karaōke Boho – the perk that led us to considering buying drinks in the first place – is that you get a free song with your drink purchase. The not so nice part of this perk is that there is a looooong wait until your song comes on. So long, in fact, that we ended up leaving before our songs came on(or even showed up on the cue, for that matter). ‘Twas quite a shame – we were going to bust out with some Destiny’s Child. Oh well. While I haven’t been to many karaōke bars(two, to be exact), I have to say that the song list here was unbelievably impressive. Pages and pages and pages and pages and PAGES of options. Incredibly overwhelming. But – if you’re looking for a karaōke spot that offers a decent variety of recent song, this one’s it. I heard a few people sing some top 40 hits from the past month. Now that’s impressive.

Very fun place to be on a Friday night. Only downfall: they do not accept credit card, nor do they allow you to just purchase a song. It can be a very long wait to get your song on the screen. However, once it is on the screen, it is a fun time.

Don’t come here. These guys need to learn how to run a business, and I say let them learn the hard way. I came here on a whim, because it looked pretty random and we thought it might have potential. We sat down, ordered two beers, and listened to some of the worst singing I’ve ever heard. It’s karaōke, so I expected that much. However, 30 minutes went by and we still hadn’t gotten our beers. It was EMPTY, but the bartender was more interested in talking to his coworkers. We just got up and left, what a waste of our time.

Have to say I understand the subpar reviews of this place. In truth I will continue to come here if only because there really aren’t many other karaōke options in the area — but compared to many other places, Karaōke Boho kind of sucks. The rooms haven’t been updated since they opened, the microphones go in and out because the cords are worn down, the song books start counting new songs in 2011, and the remote is beyond hypersensitive to the point that our group accidentally skipped at least 5 – 10 songs over a 4 hour period. The one positive is that service is attentive in that they will dutifully answer your call. Though, honestly they did a pretty sh*tty job helping us out with a spill. So cancel that positive, I guess. Otherwise charges are standard: $ 8/hr/person, $ 18 pitchers of Kirin, $ 32 bottles of wine. Have fun.
