I’ve been to Wicked Willy’s before so my expectations weren’t super high. This was the start off point for a 90s theme bar crawl so I knew the place was going to be packed. The staff were literal headless chickens, the place was crowded and they were not doing a good job of handling the volume. We had shots and six ridiculously watered down jack and cokes. At 10 $ a pop for well liquor rum and coke I would expect it to at least taste like there’s alcohol. I probably will not be back.

Love the vibes of this bar. Live music(depending on which night you go) good quesadillas and wings, and affordable good drinks. I’ve been here about 6 or 7 times. Only twice I went and it was like after a frat formal for NYU students(it’s in the area) so it was packed with greek life couples … like I was back in college(which wasn’t such a bad thing). But the crowd is usually mixed. I would say diverse in all ways. I’ve paid cover when I came late(after 10 or 11 I believe?) but it was always like $ 5. The bar food is good, drinks are good. And apparently there’s a whole back area if you keep walking past the stage and the bathrooms so the place seems sort of small but really isn’t. I just wish the music was a bit more… Diverse. Overall cool place that I deff will be going back to !

Brought my girlfriends here and it was okay. The music was great. The atmosphere cool, drinks watery. The bartenders are cool, the bouncers are dope. Kind of place you come to when you don’t feel like dressing up to go to the clubs in hella kitchen not paying a high cover. I’d go back.

Poor experience. I checkd in with my hubby for new urs party. Chckd in early around 7 pm– guy at the door said we were lucky we came in at the happy hour. Had drinks. there was misic– NOLIVEMUSIC. Buffalo wings were very dry and undercooked. The drinks were ok. Below average. WORSTNY ever. We left at 9 with an 80 dollar bill for 5 drinks n 8 wings. When we mentioned to the server abt happy hour– she and the manager denied it. SO UNPROFESSIOnal. We then went to the close by pub– THEBITTEREND. Never again wicked willeys– exp sucked completely. Never again.

After buying a «2 burgers 2 beers» Groupon for Wicked Willy’s, I tried the bar out as a lunch spot as part of a Christmas weekend in NYC. At 1pm my mom and I were the first patrons of the day, allowing for an uninhibited view of the space. If you’re like me and appreciate extensive decorations and kitschy themes, you have to check this place out. Pirate paraphernalia, Christmas lights(thought I suspect these are year round lights), and seafaring roping and portals cover walls, tables and ceilings. Awesome! Music is eclectic to say the least making it hard to pinpoint a real vibe. Over the course of lunch we heard Kanye to Ella Fitzgerald and many in between. I suspect this is a good spot for a raucous time with a late night bar crowd. Burgers were on point and fries were hot, crispy and perfect. I highly recommend the Black Beard burger with ground beef and chorizo — genius! — topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, cheddar cheese and bacon. Bacon was on the softer side and cut into pieces to fit on the burger. Our server Taylor was everything you hope for in service: attentive, friendly, knowledgeable of the menu, and quick to bring things you ask for. Draft beer selection was pretty respectable. About 8 droughts total including your main stream choices as well as a few seasonals and IPAs. Happy hour was from opening — 9pm and has half priced(translation = $ 4) beers, house wine, and some other specials also. They have a roving bicycle cart that pedals through the city collecting boozy folk from the sidewalk who are looking for their next bar stop. I’ll certainly hop aboard if I see it passing by.

So I started my epic Santacon day by going to wicked willys to meet up with a group of friends. My first time there. My friend ordered a round of jamo shots to get the day started. It was watered down… They didn’t even try to hide it and was blatantly noticeable. Worst of all it was $ 12… For a shot of half water half whiskey. Nonetheless we ordered more drinks– this time a pitcher of beer and 3 whiskey and ginger ales. Low and behold, they were water downed AF. After that we just left this shithole and continued our journey. This will be the first and last time I will come here.

Oh Wicked Willy’s, you make me relive my college years! I truly enjoy coming out here; I have never had a dull moment in wicked Willy’s. I honestly only go Thursday nights for karaōke. Prices are reasonable here to not say cheap. I always go for a shark tank(share with one other person) and the frozen Blue Hawaii drinks. Food hasn’t disappointed as well, I’ve had Mac and cheese with bacon bits and I’ve had chicken quesadillas; both of which are delicious. Kitchen does close early so order your food on time. Besides karaōke, they have beer pong tables in the back(NYU is def in the house for that) and a stripper pole on the stage for… amateur night? Lol, I’m jk… but if they ever do decide to have an amateur night I’m in there!!! Servers are all friendly and attentive. I haven’t had any issues with service. Security are also friendly but get real serious if nonsense is brewing. I remember 2 years ago on st. Patrick’s day a bouncer threw out some guy for bothering me a lot, hehe. Thank you Mr. Bouncer Man! Bathroom could be kept up more but I guess when people are drunk things happen. Mixed crowds in age groups, ethnic backgrounds, etc. which makes it a great environment to expand your social network. I just love it!

Big place, live music seven nights a week. Also TVs, full bar, decent beer on tap. Red light vibe, no reason not to enjoy here.

I came here thinking this was a really chill spot to hang and watch the Sunday football game while eating food and playing beer pong. The food wasn’t that great. I had the buffalo wings because they were only .50 cents a piece so it was 10 for $ 5 but it was dry. The ranch I had tasted weird and so did the carrots. What sucked was that the credit card minimum per person was $ 25. And what sucked more was that our waitress knew that we were all paying separately but she wanted to «hold» one card and one ID for the«tab» only. I say that because, she put gratuity and service into the bill since 1 card was held for 8 people, she was obligated to charge the service into the bill. She said it was easier to put it on one card and separate the bill later. What would have been easier if me and my friends all paid separately like we were suppose to so we can all have our separate bills and not be charged for the service. It made me do math for 10 minutes trying to figure out what everyone needed to pay. Also, beer pong is $ 5. Crowd wasn’t wild, they were more laid back young people. Up to me? I’d never come here again.

Amazing burger. That gives them 5 stars — really tight. But… (On a positive — They made us feel like we were at a restaurant even though we were in the middle of a dance/yada-yada club.) THEIR taps SUCK\!!! (more exclamation marks) The Brooklyn Lager tastes EXACTLY the same as the Sam Adams Seasonal. We even had two glasses and requested an extra sample — as we could not believe it. …yeah — something is definitely screwed up. They were also out of two other beers on tap that we ordered that were not available on their list of ten or so beers on tap. But… good burgers. Fries were OK, nothing special, but burger was worth 14 bucks. Server was nice.

I’d say a fantastic late night spot in The Village. Live music was great with a fun energetic band that played mostly the Top 40 songs, but really got the crowd engaged and had fun. Bartenders seemed to pretty attentive and even on a Friday night were on top of their game. You will have to check a bag if you bring one in($ 4). Small dance floor, but bounders and staff do a good job helping to clear the way and make sure that patrons are not obnoxious with their space. I’ll be back. jam on!

Came here on a Saturday night with a group of friends. It’s 5 $ cover charge. Didn’t like the place at all. It was too crowded even for Saturday night in the city. The drinks were 14 $(I had 4 Jameson&coke drinks and didn’t feel anything, they put only drop of alcohol I guess). Floors were disgustingly sticky too. Will never come back here

They are creative at advertising: «Time Flies When You’re Having Rum.» Yes, I’d say so. That line itself got me in the door, the $ 25 minimum for credit card use increased our length of stay. That’s the only thing that increased our time here. Cheap drinks and sweet mixers served in small plastic cups. This may make for a good local party spot, likely appealing to college age kids, but it isn’t a great spot to stop in and enjoy a great cocktail. They score high for fun marketing with all the neat signage with drinking slogans and the«drunk wagon» that they have parked in front of their building, but score low for quality. Depending on your life stage, you may have a better vibe about this place than we got.

Hit this joint up twice. It fits the bill if and when you wanna binge on lots of fried baige foods. Def a lively hangout spot for younger patrons yet all feel welcome and can mix right in. I’ve done it and it was ok ‘kind of spot’ in summary. …drinks pictured were like candy sweet. That I cannot do.

I was taken on a first date here, guys BADIDEA! Our waitress was awful, had to be called several times over. We sat by the window and there is no ac there. I just had beers which were fine, there was a band playing cover songs which was cool. I was starving, ordered the sliders which were so bland and cold. I wouldn’t go back just wasn’t anything special.

This is my favorite bar ever! My friends no longer ask me to pick a location when we are going out because they know my response will always be WICKEDWILLY’S!!! I mean what is there not to love about this place. There is always a drink special! The jerk wings are super good! The live bands are usually pretty good! Then the DJ’s play a great variety of music, and the have«stripper poles» on the stage… who doesn’t want to showcase their inner stripper after a few drinks(I’m just kidding). The staff are extremely friendly! And I’ve never had a bad time there! I keep telling my boyfriend I need to just get a part time job there as much as I frequent this bar! Maybe I can get some sort of frequent drinker reward points for this place.

So, after a bad experience during a St. Paddy’s Day pub crawl, Marisa, the GM, reached out to make things right for my friends and I. She offered us a credit to use during a return visit. Since we were meeting in the city for a Sunday dim sum brunch, we decided to take Marisa up on her offer and pop in after we ate. We arrived at two and did not realize that they open at three, so we walked over to a beer hall for an appetizer of hops. When we came back, the doors were opened and the signage was placed out front; apparently, it was Happy Hour from 3 – 9 and we were ready. I don’t remember the guy’s name at the door but he is Trinidadian, so I’ll call him Trini(I believe I called him there while we were there, so… lol); he stamped our hands and when I asked about Marisa, he said she wouldn’t be in until much later and directed me to Tim, the bartender. I showed Tim the snapshot of the message that Marisa sent me and explained to him the situation. He said we were able to use the credit for all the happy hour specials and proceeded to give us a pour. The place was as empty as you’d expect on a Sunday afternoon, so we had the place to ourselves. It was nice, though, a little dungeon-y and dark but the windows at the front are huge and we sat in that little nook. We had some well drinks and were about to order a few shots when Tim informed us that he spoke to Marisa and she actually told him to hook us up with a special fishbowl for the table, on the house. That was great! She didn’t have to do it but she definitely looked out. We finished our drinks, tipped Tim handsomely, asked Trini to take a few pics of us and headed on our way. I wish we could have tried them out during a busier time but it just didn’t happen that way but the generosity, determination to set things right for us and the friendliness of their staff is more than enough to warrant a return visit. I will DEFINITELY be stopping by again. Definitely.

I never took this place as a cover charge place. So, it took me by surprise when I had to pay a cover charge my first time here. I was not happy about that! I came back again anyway with some friend to really take it in this spot. I was not asked to pay cover charge my second time around. It’s more roomier then I anticipated and they offer the following services: live music, wonderful happy hour(M-S), food, beer pong, flip cup, 15′ movie screen, 8 flat screen TV’s, ½ price drinks and pitcher specials every day until 9 pm. What more can a person ask for. The service was good and for those of you who have not come here, you must try the black spiced rum called the Kraken!!! I will leave it at that. This is a good watering hole to start off or complete your night out on the town.
