Delicious fresh salads. Only complaint: while dining-in service is efficient(don’t order delivery: you’ll wait over an hour) universally, every employee behind the counter is unfriendly, distracted, and more concerned with yelling at each other than making paying customers feel welcome.

Great fresh salads but their delivery is RIDICULOUS. Over 40 minutes late, no apologies form the staff when I called multiple times to check in. Will never order again

I love you, Just Salad. I don’t care about your sometimes inattentive staff, I am always happy with my salad. It is not overpriced in anyway. Buy a bowl. Buy three bowls so you always have a clean one. Free toppings. Use the app.

I come here for lunch quite a lot for lunch and I must say I love it. The place is usually busy from 12 – 2 but the lines moves pretty fast. The girl who takes my order is so nice she even remembers my name. Salads are always fresh and tasty.

The salads are good here and really tasty when they chop them. My only complaint that takes away stars is the topping selection. Why the heck are cauliflower, olives, and roasted red peppers premium toppings that cost extra? Just seems pretty arbitrary as far as what they consider premium. Hard boiled eggs I understand. That’s a protein so of course it would be premium. But the others? The nearby Roast Kitchen has them beat in that department because over there you can get any 4 toppings they have. Premiums don’t exist. But overall, good salads.

Hmm barley a 3. The salads are simple and good that’s why I like the place. Plus the price isn’t too bad. But the bad includes the insane lines at lunch(go around 1:30 or 2:00 to avoid), they take your name like it’s Starbucks(it’s Crystal not Kristine), the salad guys flirt too much(i just want my lunch, the clock is ticking to get back to work). I’m looking for a better option close by at lunch, till then every once in a while I’ll mentally prepare to get my just salad.

Not sure why the bad reviews. I’ve eaten here many times. Prefer it over Chop’t – cheaper and better choices. Staff is courteous. Line moves fast.

Food: The ingredients for the custom salad are handled by workers with gloves who scratch their face and touch other things with the same gloves. The ingredients that are used a lot,(like the lettuce) seem fresh. The ones less often used seem like they have been sitting out for some time. Good luck getting enough in your salad. They put just a small pinch of whatever you select. Once, I asked for red onion, and she gave me literally a tablespoon worth. keep in mind this is for a very large salad. When I asked for more, she seemed annoyed and yelled double portion(which means I had to pay extra). I added chicken(which you pay extra for) and got very little. The Staff and Service: They seem like they are all pissed off. Usually there is one of them passed out on break at one of the few tables in the place. They rush you to order and when you don’t know what you want immediately they get snotty. The guy who chops the salad always asks if you want bread. But he mumbles it so you might not hear it. Delivery: Takes way too long, and longer than the seamless estimate. One order I payed for shrimp in the salad($ 3.99) extra. The salad didn’t have shrimp or a couple other things I added. We called up to complain, and they hung up on us. When we finally talked to them they said they would have had to inspect the salad in order to refund us. Bottom Line: I eat salads all the time in the city. This particular location is hands down the worst I have ever tried.

This is my go to spot as it is close to my job. I hadn’t gone in a while and decided to return on what would be considered a slow day. There was only 1 employee taking salad orders and putting the ingredients on the bowl. 1 other employee was chopping the salads and making them and also taking payment. The line started getting long and there was one girl who was on break apparently and she was just there seeing how overwhelmed her coworkers were, but just texting away on her phone and checking instagram. She didn’t seem at all concerned about jumping in and helping out her 2 team members. My salad took much longer than it should have and I think this is a normal occurrence here based on other reviewers. I do love Just Salad and their food but the service here was lacking on my visit.

I had the Backyard BBQ salad and it was really good! I was able to substitute ingredients that I didn’t want without a problem. The staff was very friendly and offered recommendations since it was my first time. I will definitely return.

I always see their lines extend out the doors and never understood WHY – its JUSTSALAD. But I wandered in when my lunch option(job’s cafeteria) closed and decided to give them a try. With a coworker’s suggestion, I ordered Talum and sans the jicama, I wasn’t displeased. It was quite filling which I never thought a ‘simple’ salad would do for me. The Talam salad is dressed with a smoked, spicy jalapeño sauce which surprisingly complmented the complexity of pumpkin seeds, double avocado, jicama, tomatoes(substituted green apples) and the leafy greens. So Just Salad, you won me with this selection… and your bread is pretty darn good too.

4 stars for a decent salad under $ 10 in midtown. A bit over $ 8 if you’re thrifty. Service has been fine when I have visited this location. And fresh veggies in midtown don’t come cheap…

Ha… ha…ha… Once upon a time this place used to be decent. I’ve had my share of Just Salad through out the city but this location… mmm child, grab a seat. I usually come here during the evenings so I’m not sure how it operates during the day but the evening staff are just terrible. On all levels. I came here once, five minutes before the store closed and heard an employee scoff loudly when I came in. I proceeded to order my salad and when it was time for the chopping, this guy must of been envisioning someone’s head(probably mine) because I’ve never seen someone chop and toss somebody’s salad so aggressively in my entire life. Once he was done playing guillotine master, he slammed the salad down on the glass. I looked at the manager who standing behind him, doing a great job of being useless and then said«Hey guy, I know you’re about to close but you don’t have to make my salad like an asshole». The guy didn’t respond to me but turned to his co-workers saying he was ready to «get out of here». Honestly, he looked like a miserable fuck. Please pardon-don’t pardon my language but he really wasn’t the type of person you’d really give a shit about so I left and paid for my salad. The current staff aren’t as rude but they’re so unprofessional. There’s a lady who walks around with her underwear sticking out and one time she left in the midst of making my salad to answer a phone call. Obviously if it was an emergency there wouldn’t have been an issue but when I turned around to see where this woman went, she was outside laughing it up on her phone conversation. Friggin’ laughing. What happened to my salad? The manager stepped up and finished mixing/chopping/putting sprinkles on it and handed it to me but didn’t say a word. Like this shit was normal. No apology. Nada. I eventually approached him because I thought it was pretty disrespectful and he apologized and said that he was new and was still trying to iron out some if his«staffing issues». He then offered me a discount on my next salad and apologized again. I revisited a few more times after that and unfortunately it’s the same ol’ same ol’. The salad it’s self is pretty generic. Nothing special. Not terrible but not great either. The reason why I continue to eat at Just Salad is that there are some days where I don’t want to think about my food options. I just want to eat but trust me, I don’t come here often and when I do, I just take a seat and watch the train wreck.

Go to the side where they’re not chopping to order, then either build your own or pick one of the designed salads. I got the Immunity Bowl: Salmon, Squash, Cranberries, and some other stuff. For sauce the Moroccan Tahini. It’s alright, low calories. Originally picked the Lemon vinegrette. Overall, well priced compared to Fresh & Co which costs $ 20 for a salad and drink; here the same was about $ 11.

I would give it zero stars if Unilocal would let me. I purchased an «Avocado Dreamsicle» smoothie. While I drank the smoothie, I felt hard pieces of what I believed to be stale coconut. I attempted to chew on these pieces but they didn’t break apart, and so I carelessly swallowed. As I continued to drink the smoothie, there were more of these hard pieces in my drink but I carelessly continued to drink away. It was only when my gums got scratched that I figured something was terribly wrong. I removed two nails out of my mouth. I am unsure if they were finger nails or toe nails. I called Just Salad’s customer service and after expressing my situation, I mentioned to the woman that I was unsure if they were finger nails or toenails. The woman, who by the way spoke in a tone that conveyed attitude, said, «I don’t see how it could be toenails because toenails are a very weird thing to have in a smoothie.» This response blew my mind… It was as if fingernails weren’t weird. I was then offered a refund. I did not accept. I was then told that the Director of Operations will contact me the next day letting me know what he can do for me. When I asked for his contact information, she refused to disclose. The next day, I did not receive any phone calls or emails. The following day, I decided to head over to the Just Salad venue where I purchased the smoothie. With hopes of getting the contact information of The Director of Operations. I brought the remainder of the smoothie as well as the two nail clippings that I removed from my mouth. My customer service experience at the venue was awful. When I explained what had happened to me to an employee and asked to see a manager, I had about 5 employees huddle around me. One employee said that I must be mistaken and that she heard about me. Amongst the employees was the manager and he asked me to step out of the store so that we could have this conversation because customers were inside the venue and he didn’t want them to hear my story. I refused. I asked to get the phone number of a higher-up so that they can help me. I was given the phone number of the Director of Operations who went by the name of «Nate.» At the venue, The employees were overall defensive and accusatory. They continuously spoke over me when I was trying to communicate. I felt intimidated and belittled. Worst of all, they laughed at me as I was exiting the venue. This has been a traumatic experience for me. I cried and felt embarrassed after leaving this venue. Ever since my nail ingestion experience, I have had trouble eating more than one meal a day because I am so disgusted. I am already underweight, and this experience has hindered my eating habits even more. The Director of operations reached out to me and asked me to remove my comments about the incident from all social media. I refused. He then told me that we should have a meeting so that we can talk about what he can do for me in regards to this situation. Overall this has been a very stressful, devastating and traumatic experience for me. Between contacting lawyers(who refused to take on the case, claiming it would be too much of an uphill battle) and dealing with getting my eating habits back to the norm, I woke up one morning and decided to walk away from this for the sake of my wellbeing. Hence, I did not show up to the meeting with Nate. I will never go to a Just Salad venue ever again. I will continue telling friends, family, and coworkers to beware.

Still a loyal fan of Chop’t. but since this location closes at a later time, I decided to give it a shot. Ingredients are all okay, meats didn’t look that fresh and the options are a bit weird to me(jerk chicken?). My biggest complaint actually is the service. Everyone creating my salad seemed to hate their job and were pretty rude. Granted it was a Friday night and maybe they didn’t want to be there. They were impatient, made no effort to smile, and was annoyed with me when I was trying to decide what to put in my salad. MEH. Don’t normally write reviews for these types of chain places but I would not come back.
