J&J Fine Nails

I visited this salon last week after being new to the area and needing a manicure and pedicure. I was very happy with the service I received for the great price of $ 23 all together! I had done research of salons in the area and I am glad the search led me here! Will be going back this week for another mani and pedi!

This nail salon is small and narrow, only 4 pedicure chairs. It’s exactly as you see it in the pictures –no extra space hiding from the camera. There is an upstairs but I’m unsure what’s there (massage/​wax services possibly).
I was able to walk-​in and get a mani/​pedi immediately one Sunday. Can’t say the same for those that came in about 15 min after I did. My nail tech was pleasant and sufficient. I didn’t feel rushed and I think she did a good job (with some coaching of course).
I was unable to really assess the cleanliness of the place, don’t misunderstand though because it’s not a dirty salon. It’s clean! But sometimes you need to see how thoroughly a pedicure tub is cleaned and the process for sanitizing tools. Luckily, no nail fungus detected.
In a nutshell, I wasn’t wowed, but I wasn’t disappointed leaving either. Their prices seemed to match the neighborhood and quality of the salon. I would come back if I needed a mani/​pedi somewhat close to home.

Had a wonderful basic pedicure for $ 23 after walking in on a Saturday with a friend. They took us both right away. They have a wide color selection and comfy chairs and the place seems well-​ventilated. The employees were kind and efficient. The lady who did my toes was gentle and thorough and they look and feel great! Very nice experience, especially for the cost.

I’ve been growing my nails for about 2 months and they looked great! I think that is true because two friends and two co-​workers commented on how great my nails looked. Before that, I had not really noticed as they are my hands… but in the 4^th week of compliments, I decided I’d try J&J Fine Nails. It was a huge mistake. The manicurist filed the edges off my nails, making the shape very unattractive and weakened the nails. Then she used a sandpaper block on the surface of my nails. I regret I didn’t think to stop her her at that point. The surface of my nails are now pitted and rough. The polish was horrible. With every coat, she used her nail to scrape the excess polish off my cuticles. At the end, my nails looked liked puffed up pillows of polish. Horrible, Horrible, BAD. Within this week, I’ve come to realized how much damage was done. Tomorrow I will get a manicure from a professional. I will ask them to cut off all my nails. I will purchase a base coat to cure the roughness. I will never, ever go back.

Just received a lovely pedicure from Norma. So relaxing and only for $ 23! The massage chairs are great and my feet are totally smooth now. Will definitely be back.

I wish I got the name of the woman who waxed my eyebrows. She did such a great job! Minus 1 star for the cashier who didn’t tell me there is a fee to use my CC. It’s not the cost ($ 0.45). It’s the principle!
