I went to this place a few times for a mani-pedi. There were no frills at all, but for the price it was just ok. It’s also the closest salon to my house. I made the mistake of getting a gel mani and a regular pedi this time. I chose the gel color and asked that they make sure the polish for the pedi matched. The first issue was they were busy, so they literally did half of the pedicure in the massage chair and then completed the painting of my toes with me sitting in a mani chair and my feet up on a stool at an odd angle. It was uncomfortable and inexcusable. Then they could not figure out how to do the gel mani. I’m not exaggerating. After two hours(still not exaggerating) and redoing several of my nails and scraping the messed up gel off of my nails with the tool used to push back your cuticles without an acetone soak first(not the most comfortable thing) some of my nails still had noticeable bumps in the gel. They went so far as to ask me to come back the next day so that they could fix it. Why would I do that? If they can’t do it in 2 hrs after redoing some of the nails, it’ll never get done properly. To top it all off my nails and my toes weren’t anywhere near the same color. If you can’t match the colors say you can’t do it. This was my worst salon experience in NYC. Never again.

So disappointed at a place that my husband and I are regulars at. I got a gel manicure less than two weeks ago that 4 days after I got it started chipping. So today I came in to get my usual mani pedi and was told that there was an additional $ 6.50 fee to remove the gel polish that I number 1 got there and number 2 didn’t even last. I WAS a loyal customer but I will not return. Customer service is everything to me and they didn’t even try to find a solution. They lost a loyal customer of 5 years smh.

This place is the worst. I waited 15 minutes for a pedicure for it to last only five minutes! The water was cold and I barely got a foot massage. I have clear nail polish all over my toes and I can tell this will chip within days. Don’t waste your money and paint your toes yourself you can get the same result.

I have been going to this nail salon for a little over 5 years for manicures, pedicures and eyebrow waxing. The permanent staff are pleasant and the salon itself is well maintained. They are also very affordable. They have cards available and after 10 visits I believe you get a free manicure or wax. You can also set appointments to avoid any waiting. The salon is quiet with soft music in the background. i usually go get manicures on the weekend after work and i find it to be a great stress relief. The only negatives I have about this place is that they don’t have an extensive nail polish selection and that they do everything mighty quickly– but hey this is NYC.

Awful! Less than satisfactory pedicure and acrylic nails done badly. Technique was lazy and unprofessional and resulted in having to get them done again 4 days later somewhere else! Stay away… They are even a little more expensive than other places.

Horrible place — stay away!!! It’s dirty and I’m afraid I’ll get nail fungus now. Everything is old and malfunctioning — pedicure massage chair barely worked and the pedicure chair sink was DISGUSTING! To make it worse staff was super rude! Gossiping(and whispering like 4yr olds) about me and my friend right in front of us when they were supposed to focus on our pedicures. Manicure was half assed… pardon my French! Cuticle removal was pretend! At the end she was mad that I didn’t give her 20% tip — which I reserve for anything above average service so my bar isn’t high to start with but this was too much — and the lady freaked out and lied, saying its mandatory 20% tip… which I wouldn’t care if it weren’t for the fact that she still had to finish my mani so I gave her some extra dollAr bills to not butcher my mani. Will NEVER come back. Do yourself a favor — go to the other million nearby nail salons around here and skip being treated like crap as a paying customer:(((

This place used to be ok for the price… However, it has gone way downhill. Went in today for a mani/pedi and came away very disappointed. Rude staff who looked miserable, a half-hearted pedi I could have done better myself. And they’ve raised their prices! Will not be back.

Friendly ladies, and quick efficient service. Basic mani/pedi, no frills, and decently priced.

Eeeeeh my vote is no. If I wanted to scrub nail polish of the sides of my fingers, I could’ve done my own nails. The saying«you get what you pay for» rings true at this nail shop. I paid $ 8 for a manicure, which is very cheap, however that doesn’t mean I want a cheaply done mani. The salon was a good size, but very dated! Their selection of polish wasn’t that great and old(good thing I brought my own). The tools, I won’t even go there! OK, actually I will. The tools were just sitting out in a plastic container. Dipping tools in water does not mean that they’re sanitized! Yes, that’s what she did when she finished my mani, now I can’t say that’s all she did because I went to the dryers afterward. Oh, and I didn’t get a hand massage, rather lotion rubbed on my hands. And, what happened to the 40 second back massage that has become the norm across the City?! I will gladly pay $ 12.50 for a well done manicure, where I can relax and look forward to a quick back rub and know their equipment/tools are properly sanitized.

I came here with my sister for mani/pedis on a Friday afternoon. I was neither thrilled nor disappointed by our experience here. PROS: — inexpensive — my gel manicure was thoroughly applied, and very close to the cuticles which I like(means it won’t grow out as fast!) CONS: — not a huge color selection — the pedi massage chairs seemed a little janky — they didn’t make an effort to seat my sister and me next to each other — very no frills service all around — my pedicure had nicks by the next day

I will NEVEREVER step foot in here again !!! I have visited this place multiple times and spent countless money here, only because of how accessible it is to me and each time the treatment has been below average. I would first like to acknowledge that I’m a waitress, I understand the dilemma of needing tips to earn extra money so I tip very well. However, when it’s comes down to forcing a costumer to over tip you and demanding how much money you want out of my pocket that is out of line and bad business. The worse part is when they don’t get their way they begin treating you rudely, and talking any type of way to you. Now that is just wrong and unacceptable. This place only got the one star because I like how spacious the place is and their work is decent but rushed.

Not great, but a decent nail salon. They are by no means state-of-the art as far as instruments, cleanliness, and general practice go, but at the end of the day, my nails looked good, so no huge complaints. They seem to be busy often, so there might be a wait, but I also went on a Saturday evening so that could be why. Also, it’s cheap. Can’t hate that.

The gel manicure came out rly nice but the woman told me I had to giver her a $ 5 tip. I never heard of forcing a tip until now. They should just raise the prices or include gratuity. I don’t think i would go back here. The whole situation made me uncomfortable.

I’ve been here for a manicure 3 times and was pleased with the results every time. And really, it’s $ 7. So what are so many reviewers complaining about? Just be smart about when you go. If you go at 5pm on a Friday it will be hectic and the service probably won’t be great. Go before 5pm on a weekday. You’ll be glad you did.

I went to get my nails done on Halloween night while others were at the parade and trick or treating.(Don’t judge me). I decided to go before closing time(9pm). I went in around 8:15pm. Lily took her time and didn’t rush my manicure. After I was done I only dried my nails for five minutes because I realized I was the last one and I thought maybe they wanna get out early. Lily saw me get up and insisted for me to dry my nails a little longer. Told me not to worry that she prefers my nails to be dry than for me to mess them up just because it’s almost closing time. I have never received such gesture from a nail salon before! Ever! Thanks Lily, you are now my go to person! :-)

If you want to be pampered, go somewhere else. On Monday 9÷8÷2014, I went to Feng Nail had pedicure and manicure done by Fendy, a Chinese woman. I parked my car in the front of the store and paid the parking. It was 4:08PM. The store was pretty busy. When my pedicure was finished, it was 4:29PM. I have been doing pedicure and manicure for more than 14 years. In other places, it takes about 70 – 90 minuets to finish both. I told Fendy that her service seems rather short. She argued with me and defended herself. She did rest of the work sloppily. In 45 minuets, Fendy finished her job and moved on to other costumer. She did not help me before I was leaving. I used to use Nail & More on Broadway btw 92 and 93rd street. When my favorite server left, I have not gone back regularly. My nail polish started to chip 6 hours after the manicure on 9⁄8. Advice: If you are in a hurry, go there.

I get a monthly mani pedi. the price is right but the service can vary. If you want something more than a lackluster foot massage spring for the spa pedi. you get a 20 min foot massage with it. Yes I’m a guy. and yes my wife loves my hands and feet! Lol

I was told I had to tip in cash. When I gave the woman $ 7, she said«one more dollah, 20 pucent is 8 dollah». Seriously? Not only was I told I had to tip, I was told I wasn’t tipping enough. Unreal. Although this is the closest to my apartment, I will avoid this place like the plague. They also do not not clean and sanitize the pedicure tub after each use. Puke. Never again.

Sure, a good deal on a mani/pedi is alluring. But at Feng Nail, what you get is exactly what you pay for. The weekday special here is $ 22 for a mani/pedi, so although I was not in complete need of one, I decided I might as well get a little more beach ready. So I walked in without an appointment and was quickly seated in one of the pedicure chairs(that was not working.) Both my manicure and pedicure was pretty rushed through, paying little attention or time on each step of the process.(Which is the best part for me!) I had to take a call after my pedicure(before my manicure) and they were kind and patient enough to allow me to sit by the window and let my feet dry while on the phone. Luckily there was still someone to do my mani available when I got off. I must admit though, they must have done something right with their application, because the polish(Essie) lasted almost a little over two weeks on my toenails, throughout beach wear with barely any chipping… so that’s something. Overall, pretty good experience for a quickie.
