If you’ve ever wanted to step right into a Hollister catalog, the Hudson Lodge is the answer to your dreams! Plus you can get drunk on cocktails priced at a not-at-all-reasonable $ 16 a piece! Pros: LOTS of space. The Big Apple Cider was pretty good. Over-the-top ski lodge theme is cool I guess, if that’s your thing. Cons: $ 16 is just way too much for these drinks, especially when the warm ones are dispensed from a large premade supply. They aren’t particularly strong, so what am I even paying for? The 5 seconds you spend pressing a button to fill my glass? Also the fake snow might get in your drink, which is probably harmless — but can you be sure? Overall our experience was fine, but I don’t know why you’d ever come back here. Maybe if you want to plan a really big party last minute and so need a guaranteed open space with no cover charge. Don’t expect people to stick around long, though.

Stop #4 of our slam-bam-thank-ya-ma’am tour of the Hudson Hotel’s offerings. I probably shouldn’t even review this place because I barely remember it, but what the hey, I might as well. I have a vague memory of it being rustic and me thinking, «Grizzly bear? Me likey!» I hate skiing because it’s like a torturous form of mini-tobogganing for your feet, but I love ski décor. It makes me feel like I’m rich and vacation in Aspen in between visits to my Switzerland home. So kudos to you, Hudson Lodge, for evoking that feeling.

Nice outdoor area with a ski lodge atmosphere. Don’t expect any views out here, but it’s pretty dark. Had a table and just lounged for hours on a cool summery night.

Fun ski lodge atmosphere with fur blankets on the chairs and animal heads everywhere. The drinks were good, especially the gin hot toddy which we all endwe up ordering for our second round. The hot chocolate and pumpkin drinks were tasty, but fairly week, particularly at the high price point. The goodness also above expectations. The smores grilled cheese with nutella, something I’d been dreaming about for the past week, was delicious. The pretzel was also surprisingly good. It was nice and fluffy and the mustard was scrumptious and tangy. It was also not super crowded nor very loud so a great place to meet friends and actually carry on a conversation.

Giant stuffed grizzly bear? Check. Wintry themed cocktails/seasonal beer list? Check. Occasional faux snow showers? Check. Warm pretzels, fondue and s’mores grilled cheese? CHECK! Love the vibe of this spot — basically a ski lodge themed tented space which is fantastic for getting a few friends together. Only downside is that the line at the bar can be long sometimes as the cocktails take a little while to prepare. They are, however, delicious, which helps with things.
