We made the mistake of going here last night before having read the reviews below. The service was the worst we have ever experienced. We were ignored and left standing for at least five minutes after we entered the restaurant. Finally the waiter pointed us to a table by the door. I asked if there was a table in a warmer location but he took off, saying that was the only table he had for two. We had a Groupon, so we sat down and were ignored for another 10 minutes. Finally the bartender poured us some water. We sat for another 15 minutes until the waiter — the only one in the entire restaurant — rushed over to take our order. Well, we had never gotten menus, so how could we order? The evening continued to go downhill from there, with hours of our time wasted as we watched the one waiter bus tables rather than attend to us. Like other Groupon users, we also ultimately evidently received only half of the portions that non-Groupon users get. The salmon was OK, but the vegetables were flavorless, and it came without a starch. The chicken was good but came with two starches. The flan and the tres leches were the only good part. Save yourself an evening of frustration in a cold restaurant with lousy service, and have dinner somewhere other than Inti.

Simply decorated, well lit place. We gave it a try using a groupon which gave us 1 app, 2 entrees and 2 deserts. We started with the ceviche mixto… excellent! Very tasty, strong lime accents that it was cooked in gave the fish great flavor. Calamari and fish tasted very fresh. We added the spicy sauce on the table which made it that much better… runny nose goodness! For entrees we got the shrimps picante with quinoa, which had a very flavorful sauce. A little cheap with shrimp… only 4 so not very filling, but still quite tasty. The other dish was the seafood cortina, which had muscles, shrimp, fish, calamari and clams. Basically the same… very tasty with a nice flavor, better portion size also. Def recommend this place!

Our meal at Inti was mediocre at best. I purchased a Groupon for 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, and 2 desserts to share for two people for $ 27. Pretty decent price, given we were able to pick literally anything on the menu(except salmon… forgot if it just wasn’t allowed or if salmon wasn’t available that evening). Service was a bit rough — there was only 1 waiter serving the entire restaurant which seemed busier than usual for a Sunday evening… maybe because the Groupon expired that day. He seemed slightly disgruntled… I don’t blame him. We ordered the ceviche mixto to start off with — $ 4 more than the regular ceviche with just fish — with only two chunks of octopus and a few squid rings. This was okay — it was too salty and soooo sour — tangy/salty ratio was off. I like sour so it really didn’t bother me, but that salt content… geez. It also states it has hot peppers — except this was hardly spicy at all. I like the ceviche mixto at Riko better. The $ 24 Corvina a Lo Macho -«pan fried corvina, sauteed scallops, octopus, shrimp, squid, mussels, clams and Int’s special spicy red sauce, served with rice» was extremely lackluster. The fried corvina was soggy, the rest of the seafood was just not fresh tasting and tasted like it came out of a freezer. The sauce was lacking in any sort of flavor and overall this dish was just disappointing. The SO’s rotisserie chicken — the Banquete Inti — stated on the menu as a «whole rotisserie chicken, rice, beans, french fries, sweet fried plantains and salad:». Maybe I’m blind, but whole doesn’t read as «half». And half of a chicken is exactly what he got. When we asked the waiter he said«no, it’s just half, sorry». Umm… okay. Sure thing mister. It’s a shame, because the chicken is one thing they actually got somewhat right — it was juicy and the skin was really flavorful. I loved the green sauce here, too. It had just the right amount of kick to it. The desserts are what saved this place from being awful. The flan was good and the tres leches cake, though the cake could have been better, was just what I wanted. I love tres leches cake that is oozing with milky goodness and this was it. Unfortunately, I would not return to Inti.

I’ve been coming to this place for a few weeks. Very close to work. The food and service are amazing. I’m also on a special diet and they are very accommodating with me. Ronald is usually my waiter and he is a gentleman. I highly recommend this place. Excellent Peruvian Food!

The the food was delicious! I am Peruvian and very particular with my rotisserie chicken(pollo la brasa) and this place does it right! Gregorio, our waiter was great, attentive and accommodating. The restaurant was clean, charming and cozy! I am bringing my family back here this week for sure! Thank you!

Love their Peruvian food — especially the chicken. They do the chaufa right — green sauce adds a strong latin flavor to the rice where neither the Chinese or Peruvian taste were overpowering each other. Aside from that, the prices are very good. Five people were well fed as they have a special that comes with a whole chicken and sides. Roasted Chicken is what you’d expect: Tender — not too juicy or chewy — with distinct but not too strong Peruvian flavor. Sides are typical(plantains, fries) complemented the chicken well. They also have Inca Cola. Service was good. Nothing too fancy, it’s simply a great, filling meal on a weeknight. The atmosphere is less energetic and more quiet than Pio Pio’s(which I prefer Inti over) and the food is better. I used to live in Hell’s Kitchen and this is one of three restaurants that I’d typically bring friends to(Pio Pio and Ippudo being the other two).

I’m no connoisseur of Peruvian food but I have had the privilege of dining at Mario’s in LA which is definitely the Mecca of Peruvian food outside of Peru. That being said, this stuff is good. I got delivery and ordered the lomo saltado, arroz chaufa, and a side of plantains. I don’t know what arroz chaufa is supposed to taste like but I wasn’t a huge fan– a bit too dry. The lomo saltado was on point though– great flavoring, crunch onions, delicious fries… The beef was a little tougher than I would like but I would DEFINITELY order this again. The side of sweet plantains hit the spot– god plantains are good. ANDTHEBESTPARTWASTHEGREENSAUCE– I don’t know what it is but damn that stuff is like crack. Would I order from here again? HELLZ yeah.

We used a Groupon for this location It was $ 37 for one appetizer, two entrees, and two desserts.(But I had a $ 10 off coupon so I really paid $ 27-yay me and my frugal self!) Anyways…the ambiance is nice. They have sparkling water and wine on each table(should you choose to indulge in either). There are also pictures of Peru on the walls. The location was empty when we went… which is rare for a Friday night in NY. The waiter asked where we wanted to sit so we chose a small table in the middle of the restaurant. The waiter was very detailed in explaining the Groupon(he did so multiple times… which could come off as offensive or detail oriented depending on how you look at it!) The service was quick tho so no complaints there. He required we give him all our orders from app to dessert all together. I got the salmon with mixed veg… the better half got the half a rotisserie chicken which came with ff, salad, rice, avocado, and plantains. The salmon was moist but had no flavor… same for the veg. There was a garlic sauce on the bottom of the plate that was delicious. Wish they would’ve actually used it in the dish. Over it was very bland. The rotisserie chicken was much better and well seasoned and the plantains were delicious(of course I ate some of his food it’s what gf do!). He got the flan I got the cake. Flan was much better. Overall the food was meh… but the service and ambiance were nice. Don’t know if I’d come back without a Groupon tho. The meal would’ve been $ 85 without it. **Tip: Check Groupon for a deal 1st!**

We came to Inti with a Groupon on a Thursday at around 6pm. The atmosphere was very traditional and quiet which suited my friend and I. The food was absolutely delicious(very good traditional Peruvian style). Gregorio, our server, was especially wonderful. Although he was the ONLY server on duty(there were about 6 tables eating), he was so very attentive, patient, and knowledgeable about the menu. I would definitely come back here even without a groupon.

This place is basically a scam if you get the Groupon deal. This review is to solely explain how this place is a scam! We purchased one for $ 74 worth of food which included an appetizer, 2 entrees and 2 desserts. As soon as you’re seated, they ask you if you’re here with a promotional deal. And it’s because they want to be sure they serve you half portions as you dine! We ordered the chicken empenadas and were given 2 whereas a normal order consists of 4. For entrees, we ordered the Banquette Inti which was supposed to be a whole rotisserie chicken, rice, fries, and salad. They asked if it was for one or two, and when we said for one, they gave us the half portion! The other dish was the Camarones Inti which consisted of 4 and HALF piece of shrimp and 4 teeny pieces of broccolli. This dish is supposedly $ 18! Ridiculous! For dessert we both got tres leches which of course they took a slice of cake and cut it on half and served us each halves. When it came time to pay, they explained that the face value of our deal was $ 74 so we had to pay 15% tip on that value plus the tax. If you’re going to charge me tip on the full value of the deal, why was our food portion cut in half? Writing this review is just further fueling my anger and disdain of this place.

UPDATE I returned again last night. Once again, mostly delicious. The server was overwhelmed as the place got packed by 8pm. I split the chicken feast with a friend and we ordered the seafood soup. I made sure to tell the server that the last time I was here, the calamari was inedible because it was way overcooked and had the consistency of rubber. He assured me that the soup was made to order and that the calamari would be tender. I’m sorry to report that I had no such luck. I had to leave much of the soup on the plate. The calamari tasted like an inner tube. PLEASE fix this amazing dish… I’ll come back if you do. By the way… the sangria is VERY refreshing on a hot summer evening. The place has a nice ambiance and the chicken can’t be beat. Don’t order the feast though, the sides are just ordinary.

Tried this place with a Groupon, and had a nice dinner on a weekday evening, but nothing extraordinary. The waiters were very attentive, and the restaurant is clean. I was a bit confused that they have white tablecloths and nice wine, but paper napkins. The avocado, shrimp and onion appetizer was the biggest hit — super flavorful, delicate, crunchy. For entrees, I tried the Jalea– which is basically just deep fried seafood. The calamari and shrimp were nice, but they picked a horrendous tiny fish that was tasteless and scaly. My friend ordered fish in some kind of yellow sauce, which was again unimpressive. The meal does come with a really nice spicy green sauce, and corn kernels, which are tasty(and authentic of Peru). The desserts were nice: flan and tres leches cakes. Atmosphere:4 Service: 4 Food: Meh, 3. Price: Meh, 3(would’ve been $ 90 without the Groupon??) So, overall a basic experience.

Gregorio was a gentile and eloquent waitstaff. Very polite and knowledgable., The food was fresh and tasty and though the ambiance is über casual it is clean and comfortable. Typical Peruvian fare is offered and lives up to the reputation of great food. Delivery is available. Great and unique spot open in this area where there is really little on offer.

I went with 3 friends and a groupon. Service was quick and friendly enough. We all basically shared. We started with ceviche de corvina(not terrible, but I’ve had better) and papa rellena… wasn’t flavorful or with any distinct taste that popped out at me, but it was decent enough for an appetizer, I guess. The salmon primavera wasn’t terrible, but wasn’t anything spectacular or worth noting, just plain salmon. The rotisserie chicken was good, but a tad salty. The arroz chaufa fried rice was delicious and the best dish to me. I had the camarones inti which was literally 4 pieces of shrimp and 4 pieces of broccoli around a school of rice in a tasty yellow sauce. Like, everyone didn’t even taste it. The flan & tres leches cake were pretty good. All & all its a decent place for dinner with friends and/or family. I wouldn’t recommend it for kid, no one under age 17 or 18 simply because I doubt the dishes wouldn’t appeal to them in any way.

Food — We had Jalea as a starter which was really good! The Ceviche was okay along with the chicken. You also have a choice of wine which is a plus! Décor — Really nice quiet restaurant. My boyfriend and I went on a week day. Therefore, it wasn’t packed. Service & Groupon — The only guy who was in the front with curly hair gave us the best service! He made sure everything was fine. Groupon also had this 20% off coupon from our entire order for first timers which he was able to use!

So within the past year Inti has just gotten better… possibly 5 stars better. Their menu is larger with appetizers like avocado ceviche, shrimp stuffed patties, and soups. They also have more entrees, and there’s a full bar to go along with the pisco, sangria, and some nice Chilean & Argentinean wines they have. You can still bring your own bottle but there’s a little cork fee. Gregorio always goes the extra mile too. For instance, he filled a container so I could take home the cancha(salted corn kernels) they have. I would also say that Inti now edges out Flor de Mayo because of its service and intimacy. Flor de Mayo still has a much larger menu since they have all of the Chinese food too.

Ever have that craving where you just want to eat an entire chicken with little to no judgement? Look no more, here’s the place. Ordered the Pollo Inti($ 14) and an empanada dish($ 7), with a Sangria($ 8) to wash it all down. Waiter was quizzical when I ordered the chicken, but I reassured him that’s what I wanted. Hot and juicy with crisp skin — easily was able to engulf the bird with the hot sauce provided. The empanadas were softer than I would have liked but good flavorful filling. Sangria was satisfyingly strong. Best part — Unilocal has a 20% deal for your first time here. Take advantage and enjoy.

We came here Sunday night with a Groupon deal, $ 74 worth of food for half the cost. We thought we had a super deal expecting a voluminous meal, but it was not much so by the end of the night. We RSVP’d in advance to avoid the wait which was not necessary because the restaurant was quite empty all night. One waiter was manning the tables. We ordered the Tiradito Inti appetizer– slices of thin sashimi and slice of sweet potato in a sour soup based sauce. A bite of sashimi rendered my eyelids to expand and hair on the back of my head to stand. Too much flavor and lemon, lime, and sour juice for my taste. Would have been nice to have a basket of bread to accompany the sourness. For the main dish we ordered Corvina A Lo Macho and Banquette Killa. Corvina A Lo Macho was not impressive with not so fresh seafood– ginormous chewy calamari, dull mussels, lone star shrimp(one piece), and fishy sea bass. The Banquette Killa on the other hand revealed a brighter side of the night with chicken that juiced with flavor and seasoning. Some complaints. Both dishes were room temperature when served, the rice tasted microwaved, fries were soggy and tasted microwaved, and the portions were small. Disheartening for a Peruvian restaurant. Also I’m not sure if it was only on the particular day I went, but the quality suffered to the point where it made it difficult to finish the food. The dessert at the end of the meal made up for the appetizer and main dish and rings in 2 stars. Flan and Tres Leches. Delicious! I’m not a dessert guy and I finished both plates before my significant other picked up her fork. That means a lot! Strangely the dessert was included in the Groupon deal, but was not listed on the menu. Bizarre. The best items were not on the menu. Perhaps it was the dishes I chose, the day I went, or simply the lack of fresh ingredients available to the restaurant that led to a poor dining experience, but from my point of view even with the deal, we were not all too satisfied. It was definitely not worth $ 75 face value for the meal. Inti has plenty of room for improvement and I hope changes are made before the competition takes over.
