i was here in harlem visiting patient… asked the nurse where is there a place to eat around here… she pointed me to this i make it there and said this is a grocery store, where is the food… they pointed me to the back of the store and there it was. The lady cook is cooking everything as you see her, its a tight kitchen. But the food is very authentic Dominican Caribbean cuisine. so folks don’t get intimidated by the place, this is a hole in the wall and most people would prefer an established storefront restaurant. Try this place out, it is very good lunch food its heavy, the breakfast are heavy. after eating there you want to take a nap. the chicahron or fried pork bellies are fresh cooked daily, all the food is cooked daily, you actually see the cook cooking in front of you the days menu. the same for the breakfast. this place is packed and the hospital lunch crowd devours everything. so if you want the best parts get there in time for lunch. if you got there at 1pm you missed out. it is very affordable lunch is 7 dollars or you can get a mini which is 5 dollars. all lunch comes with rice, beans and a meat. they also sell beer and it ICECOLD… really nice hole in the wall and satisfying food. again this is a hole in the wall guys, dont be intimidated and expand your taste… dont go there if you are on a diet or you are calorie concious.
