First order from this new healthy Asian restaurant in West Village. Absolutely extraordinary food. So glad I discovered Go Zen. You will be my new GO– to place — please don’t let standards decline as you become more popular. As a vegetarian am super happy to know I have Go Zen nearby. Super fast delivery and food came super hot — amazing. Can’t wait to try other dishes.

Don’t waste your time with other Vegan restaurants, this is the best Vegan restaurant I have ever ate at. I ordered take out last night and was a little skeptical about ordering from a new restaurant but WOW was I in for a surprise. I ordered the Bar B Q Seitan and Sesame Seitan which I couldn’t believe was vegan. When I picked up my order I was greeted with a smile, I was happy to see that the restaurant was very clean which is always a good sign. About 2 hours after I picked up my order I received a call from the restaurant asking if everything was ok with my food this is the first time that has ever happened to me and I will definitely be ordering from them again.

I dropped by a couple days ago and was surprised to find something that wasn’t vegetarian paradise 2: it’s nicer, and no longer a clone of red bamboo. They still have the Soul Nuggets; it’s the same exact thing and still a 5⁄5. The Cream of Mushroom soup is one of the best I’ve ever had, I’m excited to try their other soups. The Lily Oyster Mushroom was ok — I didn’t taste any jackfruit, but the mango sauce was unique and saved an otherwise boring dish. The Beijing Seitan was great, I loved the combination of pumpkin and the spices. For dessert we got the white chocolate cake, which was solid, as expected. Overall, the food was very good and service was on point. The entrée prices went up, so you don’t get the value of vegetarian paradise 2 anymore. It’s also nicer, they’re clearly pivoting from a casual café to a date place. Honestly I don’t think they’re quite there yet; they don’t have an alcohol license, and some of the seating was a bit awkward. But it’s still a very good meal, I’m definitely going to come back.

Came here for lunch, quite a pleasant gem to find amongst nyu university food scene. Décor was nice, tried the vegetarian cha-siu tasted just like the real thing, sweet and sour chicken was tasty this one hands down was my favorite dish tasted like the real deal. The guacamole and taro chips were the biggest surprise I was expecting a bland soft chip but it was perfectly crisp with great seasoning. Wait staff was very attentive but hard to find in a pinch but if you ask them for anything they will accommodate you. I’ll be coming back soon to try the rest of the menu!

My group and I ordered a ton of dishes to try because they all sounded so appetizing. I’m not gonna lie, when I heard we were going to get vegan food, I wasn’t too thrilled. Upon looking at what everyone else around us ordered, it enticed me to want to try a number of things. For those who are skeptical about vegan food, I’d say this place does a good job of alleviating that skepticism. The food is flavorful and even better, the prices are fair. Who says eating healthy has to cost a fortune?! Customer service was great, as they remained attentive to our table. The restaurant is clean and well-kept.

Don’t worry, y’all — the Soul Nuggets are still here, at least on the menu. Not sure if they are the same ones. This is the phoenix that rose from the ashes from VP2. Super updated interior. It’s nice and bright and clean. My friend and I got three things — one appetizer and two lunch specials. The Sticky Rice Lotus Root was definitely not what we were expecting, but it was actually pretty interesting(think slices of lotus root with rice shoved into the tiny holes…) My bud got the Sauteed Spinach Noodle and I got the Peace Protein. Both legit. Nicely sized portions. Really wish the lunch special came with a small appetizer on the side, though. Very friendly staff, though service was a little too slow for the lunch rush. The biggest thing that’s missing is Nujabes playing… definitely going to miss that. All in all, I’m looking forward to seeing where this place goes, and I’ll be back.
