I came here back in 2013 and always ordered the veggie burger. It was crispy, nice and hot and always tasted great. The fries were great too. I went back here in spring 2015 to get the same burger and it’s really not the same anymore. The patty was shaped differently like it wasn’t made fresh, it was soggy, falling apart, had no flavor and looked microwaved. I wish I took a picture but I was so excited to dig in only to realize it wasn’t the same anymore. The fries were about the same but the plate has much less in serving size than it used to.

Fantastic! I’m a vegetarian and try to avoid soy as often as possible, so I got their seitan satay and it was incredible. I started out with the summer roll, so fresh and yummy, and had to get half of the seitan satay wrapper up because the portions are HUGE! I’m definitely going to be coming back here

Came here for dinner tonight for the first time and the food was excellent and wait staff was friendly as well my wife got the big leap burger which was amazing, and I got the fire rock burger which was excellent, both burgers came with fries and a salad with a very tasty carrots ginger vinaigrette. For the price, I feel you get a lot, a burger with fries and a salad, most vegan places you only get a burger for the same price. I will definitely come back here

In an attempt to eat healthier in the new year, I went to Quantum Leap with a couple friends. Overall, a solid place to get vegetarian food. The restaurant is cozy but not cramped, and at 6:00PM on a Friday we were seated immediately. The beer selection was limited, but it wasn’t a big deal. I ordered a grilled salmon burger with the side salad and garlic fries. My friends ordered the fish tacos and a side of garlic fries. The salmon burger was good, very fresh and filling, but the garlic fries were REALLY good. Will definitely be going back!

A great place, even for us non-vegetarians.(The waitstaff also very generously seated me before another party, despite the fact that the rest of my party was running late – super friendly people). The menu is HUGE and everything my table ordered was fantastic. Will definitely be back to try the brunch items!

Fire rock burger is worth coming back for, sweet potato fries were nice and crispy, staff were attentive and very nice. BUT the vegan cheesecake was so inedibly gross. First, the base is made from cooked brown rice, and it tastes like it was cooked in a pot that also cooks savory soups. Imagine if fried rice was the base of a cake. Had a bite and nearly spat it out. Second, the vegan cheesecake filling tastes like cheap whipped cream. I don’t know what it was made out of, but I couldn’t eat it. That being said, the savory menu items are really great and I’ll definitely go back for the burger. Just stay clear from the cheesecake.

The atmosphere of this place is cozy, warm, and enjoyable. I felt very comfortable from the minute I sat down to the time I left. I ordered the black bean and quinoa burger and was slightly disappointed. Although edible, it seemed essentially flavorless. I threw some ketchup on it to give it some flavor but I was still not very impressed. Their french fries however, were extremely delicious and the burger came with a delightful side salad. The staff was very kind and friendly. My only problem is that after clearing my table, I had to wait a very long time before getting my check, which I had to ask for. Along with waiting for the check, you’re in for a pretty long wait for the food. Do not go there starving, or else you’ll end up a hangry mess while waiting for your food. All in all, I had a pleasant experience there. Will probably not visit again, but it was a nice place to try out.

I wanted to like this place and went feeling excited to try many things on the menu since I’m on a mostly vegetarian diet. The quality was not very good, and the taste was mediocre. I suppose it’s a good choice for a low budget but all 4 of our meals were meh.

This was not only disappointing but inedible. Barbecue sauce was like Kraft, sugary, the faux chicken slimed and rubbery. They used frozen vegetables. Didn’t seam to care when I hardly ate anything and told them it wasn’t good.

This place is great! Great service & great food! We ordered the soy nuggets, the broiled flounder, & the fire rock burger. They were pretty good. Decent portion. Our waiter was very friendly, polite, & attentive. Good quiet ambiance. Great place to have a conversation with a friend or a date while enjoying your meal.

Not a bad way to drop $ 10.45 for Fire Rock Burger — Lunch with French Fries(they honored a request for garlic instead, which is the same price a la carte) on a Regular Bun with Muenster Cheese. This joint opens later on than it does in person.

Grilled Buddha Rolls are amazing!!! Will definitely return for those!!! Starting my meal on such a high I expected it to get better! Ehhh… Fire Rock burger was just ok. Topping proportions were off. The only thing memorable was the heat. I’m talkin eye tearin, nose runnin heat. HELP, Where’s my waitress? Oh that’s right, I saw her walk out the front door a few minutes ago. Her shift must have been over. The rest of my meal was(barely) serviced by a woman who looked like the manager. I was then offered dessert and Still thinking of the Buddha Rolls, I said yes! Tofu Cheesecake(I believe it was coconut) sounds yumm! NOOOO! Yuck… I hate ending my meals on a low, and i should have just stopped after the burger. No, I wish I had stopped after those delicious Buddha Rolls, then this place would have gotten 5 stars

I swallowed something sharp in the red curry I had here and my throat was sore for like 3 days… not a fun experience? I don’t understand what could have been in it since it was all vegetables but this was painful. Otherwise this place seems typical for being near a university, it has everything from Asian to Mexican to American food for decent prices. That makes me skeptical of how tasty each genre of food is though. My friend ordered a veggie burger and enjoyed it while I ordered the veggie red curry… which was okay nothing special. It’s not that exciting or tasty for the area so I don’t think I would come back. Sorry yall!

This is likely the highest rating I have given to any vegetarian/vegan restaurant in the city(and, incidentally, Quantum Leap isn’t even 100% V, as they have several fish items on the menu and they use real cheese on their lasagna), not just because the food was much tastier, but because the service was very kind and patient with my friend’s baby, who was making a grab for every fork in sight. Peanut butter/vanilla milkshake: great if you’re a diehard peanut butter fiend like I am, but there was hardly any taste of vanilla. Malaysian red snapper: the curry peanut sauce could have used a spicier kick. Apple/blueberry pie: the oatmeal crust was a little on the wet and crumbly side. I liked the apple slices on top, which retained a bit of the orchard-like crisp. All very reasonably priced — an app, 2 drinks, 4 entrees, and 2 desserts came out to about $ 100. NEXTTIME: sweet potato fries, vegetarian burger with grilled pineapple, dumplings with soba.

Quantum Leap is a definite leap-forward for those looking to enjoy a deluxe veggie burger sans-boredom. Choose from an array of burgers with toppings like avocado, mango salsa, onion rings(not vegan — never had), grilled portobello, grilled pineapple and more. Piled higher than tomorrow’s blood pressure, these are sure to sate. I wish they didn’t cook sea animals and would just go full vegetarian(or even better, vegan!) but that’s a stepping stone for many places, and I have never witnessed any potential for cross-contamination here. Of course, there’s your garden variety(pun intended) of salads, wraps, smoothies and other healthy stuff. But if you’re coming here, go big or go home. And you definitely don’t want to go home.

After lunch, my breath was garlicky enough to fend off a few vampires, but it was so, so worth it! I got the(salmon chowder) soup and tofu egg salad sandwich combo off of the lunch menu, and it came with a side of tortilla chips. The sandwich was really filling, and was a hot mess to eat, but so good! I’m sure I would have loved to have the egg salad just by itself as well. Everything from the bread, to the crisp lettuce, and the cold slice of tomatos screamed fresh! I was also pleasantly surprised with the salmon chowder, and I would definitely recommend it(unless you are vegan) if you are a fan of chowders in general. It is hearty and could definitely stand alone as a meal with a slice or two of bread. For ~$ 9, the meal was a great value! I ordered to-go because the restaurant was pretty tiny and a little too dark for me to get any work done. Although I was promised my food in 10 minutes, it was already waiting for me on the counter when I returned 5 minutes later to check on my order. Sweet! For the students(and visitors) in the area, this is definitely a place to stop by for a quick, filling lunch that won’t break the bank!

I had a wonderful experience here yesterday for dinner with two of my girlfriends. Excellent food and great service to boot! The restaurant itself is very small and homey. Not the best place to come with a huge group since they only have 1 large table(seats 6) and mostly tables for 2. Anyway, we were seated promptly on arrival, about 7pm. The menu consists of all that I’ve grown to love at veggie spots — large selection of fun seitan and soy options. This place also offers a few seafood choices though — saw a few items with shrimp and salmon. Their list of specialty veggie burgers caught my eye so I went with that. We decided to split the fiesta dip(guac, tofu sour cream, salsa, beans, refried beans) to start; I had the fire rock burger while my girlfriends ordered the curry stew and seafood scampi. The fiesta dip was a great starter and presented beautifully. Solid guac! The tofu sour cream was also very convincing. We couldn’t get enough of this and finished the bowl with our fingers when we ran out of tortilla chips, hha. The fire rock burger was ridiculously tasty and packed so much heat — it was slathered in a firey hot chipotle bbq sauce and a generous amount of jalapeño slices. Topped with a smoky tofu bacon and mushrooms — so, so delicious. I also enjoyed the fresh side salad it came with and my crisp, sweet potato fries(+$ 1). My girlfriends both enjoyed their dishes as well. We ended up staying for 3 hours just chatting and catching up. No one was waiting for a table at any point or we wouldn’t have, of course. The waiters and waitress refilled our water every 10 minutes and were so pleasant the whole time. Overall, it was an incredible evening. Quantum Leap will definitely get a return visit from us.
