The server didn’t come to our table for 20 minutes so we ordered drinks from the bar. Bartender didn’t know how to make two of our cocktails, so we ordered cocktails which were $ 15 each. If this were an NYC hotel bar I would expect that, but they were straight out of a college dive bar that should have been $ 10 at the most in NYC. Terrible service, we left without ordering food. Also, it was 43 degrees(actually) inside the restaurant. After coming here, I’m not surprised they could play their heat bill. I’m sad I can’t give this place zero stars.

Mediocre food. Tiny portions on weak drinks. Abort abort abort. If you are old you will hate the loud techno as well. Terrible service. Good location but not worthwhile.

The food was ok for NYC standards. Basic french food without any frills. The hostess however was a nightmare! We had a reservation at 1:15pm last Sunday. We walk in at 1:15pm and she tells us the table will be ready in 10 minutes. No such thing. 30 minutes later we get asked to sit down. The hostess tells us they are always late on Sundays. Why on earth do you take reservations if that is the case. When seating us down I ask her that. She responds: Are you German. What a nerve! I tell her that in no culture this is acceptable. She should have apologized and offered us a drink for our wasted time. Never going back there. Manhattan has many places where people do care for your experience and make you feel good. UGH!

This place has SO much potential. Went this past New Years with my boyfriend. Got there at 9pm and stayed past 12. There were some empty tables, but all were decorated for New Years. Waiters were on point with everything. Music could have been a bit more festive for New Years, a little something to dance to. There was a prefix menu and it was an OK selection. With a little TLC this place can be better.

Great food and dessert. The profiteroles are amazing. Nice ambient and good drinks. Love the happy hour at the bar. The service could be a little better, but is all about food.

The food was terrible, the onion soup was cold and(surprise!) we found a hair in our eggs Benedict.

The food is good. No question. Why isn’t it four stars? Two reasons. Let’s start with the more serious. I think they play games with the bill. They charge tax on the tip, and take a 20% gratuity off the top if you pay with a gift card. Ask for tap water: otherwise they spring you with a $ 10 charge on Evian. Amex or cash only. Second – the atmosphere there isn’t great when you have a loud, large Xmas party of 20 Santas. Just saying.

I’m sure this is a lovely place but they ONLYTAKEAMERICANEXPRESS. I was on an expense account serviced by Mastercard. Thankfully I noticed before ordering anything more than a glass of wine. If I had not been paying attention it could have caused quite the pickle for me.

Food & Drink I had the Salmon over kale and quinoa. It was perfectly done, and it was a hearty quantity of Salmon and didn’t feel they skimped. Atmosphere Fun, festive, and good for groups. The kind of place you can show up to your group and potentially pull a chair over to sit. We were very loud, and they only quieted us down when we were literally shouting(at least some of us were…) Service Our server was great, he was attentive, patient with our drunken table of hooligans. Food and drinks were ordered and delivered with efficiency.

Thanks but no thanks. Walked in not very welcoming food looked delicious and probably taste delicious but came in with my gf and her mother was sat in the back corner which was not a big deal. The fact we sat there for 15 min with no acknowledgment water bread anything. While one person was flirting with the next table of woman. We told the hostess what happend she said oh ok. Lol no sorry. Smh So star is on service once again food looked great. I’m hoping the fact that I’m african American and my gf is Caucasian did not play a roll in the way we were treated.

We lived for 2 years in Paris and this was our first French bistro since we moved back. It was disappointing in every sense of the word. The food was average at best. It tasted like a microwaved frozen food. The wine list was limited. But the worst of all was the fine print(that no one can read) that said they only accept Amex or cash. I mean in 2015 you only accept Amex and cash? If you’re going to be so snooty about it, at least make sure your food is good. We will never come back and we strongly urge everyone to not bother with this stuck up but yet mediocre place.

Not as highly rated as most people would want, it would seem as though the appeal would not be there. Hesitant to come to this place, I knew it was a friends favorite so it had to be good.
Upon arrival for brunch the place was really really crowded. But you can make a reservation and avoid the wait all together. We missed our reservation so had to wait some time to get a table but due to our own faults. When we finally sat down the waiters were very attentive, despite how busy the restaurant was. We received all our food right away. I had ordered the flank steak and the French Mac and cheese to split with a friend. Both were absolutely amazing. The steak was perfectly cooked to medium rare cooked with red wine and onion and the Mac and cheese was very good, had a cheese crust layer that was perfect. Def recommend!

The environment was the best part of this place. It’s a little corner restaurant and two of the sides are made entirely of French doors that open up, creating an open air space(when it’s nice out, that is). It is a bit loud, but that didn’t impede the conversation for our party of 3. Our table had salmon and steak, both of which were delicious. I had a pretty good mojito, but it was very small. Despite the nice ambiance, the staff was a bit brusque. Our waiter was pretty good, but the hostess and other help staff were fairly rude. Service is an important part of the experience, and I felt they could have done a better job. Note: they only take cash or American Express which is a bit inconvenient. BUT they do have an ATM in the restaurant.

So in small print at the bottom of the menu it says ‘We ONLY accept American Express’. Can you imagine how that ruins the whole night for a group of 20 who build up a $ 1000 bill but no-one has AMEX? Hello? People in Europe don’t even have AMEX cards!!!

Came here for brunch today with a large group. The staff are very friendly and were able to accommodate out party of 10 in a timely fashion(we did call the day before to make a reservation). It’s all about the atmosphere here. The music is loud and fun and the crowd is eclectic(a mix of locals, tourists, Europeans, etc). Definitely fun to get mimosa pitchers and just sit back and enjoy Sunday with good friends. I had the crab meat salad and others had the steak tartare, salmon omelette, lamb sausage and enjoyed. Will definitely be back for brunch. Tips: your party can’t be seated unless half or more people are there. — no free refills on coffee. — CASH only or Amex

Went there with my gf on a Saturday night to walk around and to explore Soho. We waited for about 20 to 30 mins for a table as this place was packed around 3pm. We got a table on the curbside which was nice because it was a nice day out. The food was not bad and the server was attentive to us. I guess the only complain is that the bill was almost $ 100 and this was a late lunch . We will try another place in the area as there are many other nice places to eat also.

Don’t come here looking for great food, great service or reasonable prices, because it’s not here. It’s for the show… Strictly, for the show. The Shit Show. Amex or Cash(rules everthing around me, CREAM get the money…) only. THAT should tell you off the bat, what this place is about. This joint is an institution. It was here before SoHo, became SoBlow… before the mall stores and the LVMHs’ moved in. 50% of the vibe is because of this corner on W. Broadway & Grand. The tall French doors(open on warmer days) that line the outer perimeter is a game changer. The other 50% is the crowd. The food, which is good enough, is not why I come here. The beverages are strong and the crowd can get cray during soccer matches. The perfect storm. The flip side is: early breakfast, which is quiet and prefect. Easy like Sunday morning And it’s kinda impossible to fuck up breakfast. The closer to noon on the weekends is a continuation of the show, however. It’s a great way to start the afternoon/night off before ending up someplace else. Don’t expect great service or food, but do expect a good time with friends and new friends…
