What a phenomenal evening I had at Mamo. It was my first experience and certainly not my last. It was a very gracious and simply beautiful evening! I felt nothing but warmth, compassion, and generally just felt very welcomed here. Our bartender Amadeus was spectacular! He took the time to concoct a special cocktail for my friend based on his preferences. Both owner and manager were stellar individuals and the most accommodating hosts I’ve had the pleasure to be acquainted with in NYC. Bravo!

My first time in NYC and our very first reservation was at MAMO for a late lunch. I came to NYC expecting fantastic food and not only did MAMO deliver, it set the bar extremely high for the remainder of the trip! Their entire menu looked great, so I decided to go with the prix fixe meal to get a sampling of everything. For my starter, I chose the octopus salad, which featured chunks of perfectly cooked octopus in a salad with vinaigrette dressing. The octopus was cooked extremely well — not at all rubbery but soft and tender, almost like a steak in texture. The vinaigrette was on the salty side but overall the dish was excellent. For my entrée — I ordered the wagyu beef burger with foie gras and truffles. This was the absolute star of the show and might be one of my favorite things I have eaten… Anywhere! The burger was about as decadent as it sounds, and to top it all off was smothered in a rich beefy gravy. It was absolute heaven and was bursting with so many intense, wonderful flavors. Even though I was feeling quite stuffed by the time dessert came around, I still managed to eat my entire slice of cheese cake. It was beautifully presented and had hints of lavender, and was a perfect way to top off the lunch. Our server was nice and attentive and brought us complimentary shots of their house made limoncello with the check. OVERALL: 5⁄5. Absolutely delicious and high quality food. It’s on the pricy side but absolutely worth the splurge for a special occasion. I think I may be having dreams of that wagyu, foie gras, and truffle burger tonight…

Was recommended to come here by the concierge at our hotel. Apparently reservations were needed for dinner but the hostess was nice enough to check if she could ‘squeeze’ us in(this was a Monday night). The moment we walk upstairs, a man(I assume the manager on duty) asks aloud to the hostess in front of everyone«oh…walk in’s?» Considering there were only about 20 tables open, he so graciously allowed us to stay(many tables were still open by the time we left). Aside from that… service was slow, food over priced and mediocre at best. Nothing special.

I celebrated my birthday there and I am so glad that I did. This place has all! Great food, chic décor and friendly stuff. Lovely and charming décor, all white which I love. They gave us round table for 5 of us plus we have small and cute chairs on a side for our bags. How amazing! Awesome manager Jon greet us and helped us to choose best red wine for us, Amarone 2011. Burrata is best burrata I ever tried before! Truffle pizza is so delicious but branzino is even more tasty and amazing. Mamo burger must try! It’s gonna rock your world! It’s worthy every dollar. At the end they all sign for me «Happy Birthday» song. Our server Diana was attentive and super nice. We found out that she is from Croatia so we had a lot to talk about. These guys definitely knows what word hospitality means. Love Mamo! We will be back!

Had an amazing experience here. Ursula, the girl running the coat check and reservation desk, is so lovely and made me feel welcome while I waited for my friend. I had an excellent drink at the bar(the al pachilli cocktail) first. We then split the octopus salad, margherita pizza, white truffle raviolini, sea bass and lavender cheesecake and chocolate mousse for dessert. My favorites were the pizza, the pasta — it’s worth it — and the cheesecake(didn’t eat for a week after), though the other dishes were great, too. Very good service and a lovely ambience. (I lied. I ate normally the next day.)

Love MAMO. Glad to have discovered it soon after it opened. It is def a staple when it comes to my fav restaurants in this city. I did try the truffle ravioli that everyone raves about but I have to say, my fav dish on this menu is the truffle pizza by far. My standard is the arugula salad, the truffle pizza(with a sprinkle of crushed red pepper) and the eggplant parm(well, all shared ;) Everything goes so well together. The pizza is incredible and literally every bite is the perfect bite. The ratatouille is okay — I found it a tad insipid, and won’t order again. For dessert, the lavender cheesecake is unexpectedly delicious(and not something I would order on my own). Need to try the tiramisu. Love the ambiance + vibe. The waitstaff has always been very pleasant. Highly recommend. Reservations are a good idea.

I went here with some collegues on a Tuesday for dinner. We had great seats at the bar. We first ordered Margherita pizza and the Focaccia al tartufo they both tasted delicious For drinks, I ordered a cocktail called Roza it was rose liquor mixed with gin with a little bit of honey in it. It is definitley worth to try this one it is an amazing mix and flavour. Next, we ordered the peperoni dolci grigliati con farcia al tonno which was served with delicious grilled red peppers stuffed with tuna and some rice croquettes. For dessert I have tried the tiramisú and their cheesecake with lavender which were both truly outstanding. The atmosphere and the staff were really friendly. I really enjoyed my experience at Mamo Restaurant and I would definitely come back here.

We had a delicious dinner here last night! The upstairs has a simple, upscale vibe with white tablecloths and plush chairs. Our waiter was French and recommended everything truffle on the menu. We decided to go for the truffle pasta(for $ 50!) which was worth the price… delicious. The Veal Milanese was also amazing… as good as the one at Da Silvano. The burrata was so fresh and melted in your mouth. The olive oil served with the bread was SOGOOD and the cocktails are exceptional(and strong) as well. We finished with the panacotta – one of the best desserts I’ve had in a long time. I will definitely be back!

Last night marked my inaugural visit to MAMO. I’ll be returning. MAMO prepared dishes using high quality ingredients, and at very reasonable prices. I can’t remember the last time I had as great of a tasting olive oil as the one that graced our table. The chiquitas ordered a pasta dish with black truffles. I ordered the penne with meatballs. Penne was cooked perfectly and by perfectly I mean al dente. We started with the julius salad consisting of arugula, cherry tomatoes and reggiano cheese. Not the best I’ve had. I ordered the beef carpaccio. While the beef carpaccio tasted great it was the oddest version of beef carpaccio I’ve ever been served. Think rare, homemade roast beef from a great deli served with a dijon mustard and horseradish dressing. I can’t speak enough about the wonderful service we experienced. Our waitress was Marta, the extra-long pigtailed haired goddess of graciousness. Marta with her team of people were fantastic! The people at MAMO were great: from the hostesses to the buss-boys. I loved MAMO’s thoughtfully crafted wine list. Great wines at every price point. What a treat. An equal blend of wine standards alongside some obscure vineyards. Whomever put this list together gets it; a little something for everybody. Alas for our final course. Desserts consisted of vanilla bean ice cream with caramelized strawberries and an order of panna cotta. The panna cotta was a little too dense but it tasted great. As did the ice cream. I was a little disappointed that they didn’t have biscottis to serve me with my double espresso. Marta said they are working on it. I thought how difficult would it have been to walk two blocks over to Gourmet Garage to have biscottis at the ready when a pain in the derrière like your’s truly orders some? Marta made up for it by serving us some limoncello on the house. Grazie Marta!

Top food, top service, top night. I’ve been to the mamo michaelangelo in the south France, so when I heard they were opening up a NYC location I had to go! Highly recommended the staff from the hostess to the bartender to the waiter to the busboy every displayed high levels of competency. The food is absolutely amazing if you’re a huge truffle lover like myself ! Get the truffle pizza, truffle ravioli, seabream and the sea bass were both great! The restaurant is pricey but you get what you pay for so its worth it. Also be aware of the parking regulations if you are driving in, they have nighttime regulations past 11pm, otherwise enjoy !

MAMO prides itself on authentic Italian and French cuisine… and service. I’m not sure if our waiter was an actor, or a true Frenchman, but we bought into his shtick entirely. He was just so charming and made our meal truly enjoyable. The restaurant just started serving lunch recently, and since they don’t yet have specific lunch menus, they gave us the«Brunch» options. We started the meal in the downstairs dining room(which is also quaint, fresh and charming) with the Come a Capri buratta and tomatoes and a Julius Salad. For entrees, I opted for the Truffle Ravioli, their specialty, which was AMAZING. I expected maybe 4 – 5 large ravioli with some sauce, but it was oodles of tiny ravioli in a very generous portion size with shaved truffle on top. I loved it! My friends also tried the Gnocchi Bolognese, Eggplant Parmigiana, and the Rigatoni with Meatballs… and there was not a bite left on any of our plates. Presentation and plating were simple and gorgeous. But the best thing was that we were also quite full! If we had a glass of wine, we would have needed a post-lunch nap. I wish we had saved some room for dessert, but that just means we will have to return.

Very disappointed that I have to write a poor review. The first time I came, I had a wonderful dinner with wonderful service. I went again and had the exact opposite dinner. When we arrived and checked in with the hostess they told us we had to wait for our full party(a friend was stuck in traffic) we told them that we would love to be seated anyways and would order food and drinks. After 45 minutes they FINALLY took us to our table. Our late friend arrived 5 minutes later. Then it took over 15 minutes to get menus and another 20 to order drinks. Another half hour before ordering our meals. When my friend asked the waiter if she could add meatballs to her pasta dish he responded with«we are busy, I don’t want to ask the chef to do that». I understand the kitchen gets busy — but IU can throw a couple meatballs on top of spaghetti. Once we got our meals, we quickly realized they did not bring one of us our meal. No one came to check in with us, so we had to hunt down a bus boy to send over a waiter. Turns out he forgot to put the order in. Overall the food was tasty, but the terrible service overshadowed the meal.

Came here twice just to make sure I was definitely a fan and behold! This restaurant is amazing. I’d even go as far as to say it’s in my top 10NYC restaurants. I’m a fan of both Italian and French cuisine so it was an absolute godsend when I found a fine dining restaurant that is mixed and serves both cuisines. The restaurant consists of a ground floor bar like setting where you can have quick or slow drinks while either waiting for a table upstairs or the rest of your party. Upstairs is a really neat type of setting with beautiful french art on the walls and the tables are spread apart perfectly. You do not feel like you’re dining with your neighboring table. I luckily had the same waitress at both of my dinners which was great because she remembered me and remembered what I like. I love when wait staff is that attentive — makes the dining experience so much easier. She also knew exactly what to suggest the second time, with wine and food recommendations. Truly impressive. Photos of food and description below. Huge fan of desserts of course but I must say everything we ordered, probably because she knew exactly what to suggest was so wonderful and we cleaned those dishes. The wine also paired perfectly with whatever we ordered. A lot of truffle options so if you like truffle this is definitely the place to dine. I now understand why celebrities would want to dine here too. This restaurant is amazing! I’ll be back.

I found out about MAMO on Instagram so I decided to give it a shot. First of all, the décor is so beautiful. I absolutely love the design and the lighting. It’s romantic yet not too dim so you can take photos of your food if you’re a foodie like me hehe I must say the food is absolutely delicious. We ordered 3 main dishes. I already knew I had to have something with truffles so we went with the linguini. ORGASMIC! Everything from the texture to the flavor was perfect. The rigatoni was another hit. I ordered sans sausage but the meatballs were so delicious and tender. Last but not least, the salmon, it just melts in your mouth. Oh and the music is just awesome. It was overall a great dinner in a great atmosphere.

The noise level is way too loud for an intimate meal. It’s boisterous and contrasts with the quiet refined French provincial feel. Love the aura and the food is clean and well prepared. Uneven sized portions. The burgers are huge the tartare average sized. Good assortment of choices except veggies are scarce — they usually are paired with a fish or meat… They just opened so their service is a bit slow and also uneven. For some odd reason I was the only one at table ignored by the wait staff. They forgot my slice of pizza, skipped me for the wine and I had to remind the server of my main dish :/. Still the music –though loud –was awesome. The vibe is cool and the food great. They Have the tallest bus boy I’ve ever seen. A lot of fun and I Will return for sure.
