This place has a really good food and atmosphere. Its a Russian/Asian/American fusion food which is really interesting. They really invest in every dish presentation and the service is really good. They have very special tuna Tartar served in scones. The entire meal was really good

First time trying this place, but I loved it! I came for brunch on Sunday with one other friend and even though the free house-infused vodka shot says only valid from 5pm-8pm, our server honored it! We got the lychee and watermelon vodka shots and both were so good! For entrees, we both ordered the truffle lobster eggs Benedict based on our server’s recommendation and other Unilocal reviews. Anything truffle or lobster always catches my eye, but to have them both together was amazing! I got to try the Barrow Street Bubbles cocktail that my friend got, and that was also really refreshing! Can’t wait to come back here and try the dinner menu!

Went for a Birthday. Staff was friendly and knowledgable. Try the fusion Vodkas, apricot was flavor was my favorite. I had the rack of venison. Very tasty portions could be bigger. Dessert was awesome the leche donuts and crème brûlée were to die for. Expresso was excellent. Definitely coming back.

I needed a place to goto eat with some friends I haven’t seen in a while, and being that it was last minute it was great I could book an reservation quickly. I really loved the décor it was quiet nice and you could enjoy people watching when you got tired of talking. The food was a bit pricy but tasted alright. Our server seemed new which was fine, she seemed like she was trying really hard at her new gig. I think we all then left happy and full and it was a great night out.

I am not sure what to think of this place the menu was a little strange with some Asian/European fusion . the space was tight as is the case in many places in NYC but the large windows were nice. and good location everything is overpriced and the food was Average. The staff was friendly but even tho it was not busy I feel the waiter was MIA for long periods of time. I got the pesto shrimp pasta, I got it cause I love pesto but there was no pesto on the pasta a tiny bit on the giant shrimps. I don’t like giant shrimps i wouldn’t have ordered if I knew the dish had giant shrimps and no pesto I would not return Food — Average Service — Average Atmosphere– Average

This place was empty when we arrived on Saturday 1130, which was supposed to be prime time for brunch. Brunch places around the area all had huge lines. We were seated though our party was not complete. Great service I have to admit, friendly staff, our water was constantly refilled. Below average food. I got eggs Benedict and the ham was really sour, cold and tasted right out of the fridge. They never kicked us or rushed out even if we sat for a bit after we finished. All in all nice service and environment. Below average, ok at best food for brunch

Great place, gorgeous people. Kind, generous drinks. It’s open early which isn’t as common as you’d think out in Greenwich. Will definitely stop by another soon enough. I recommend it. Although we didn’t eat, the kitchen is smelling great. I had a watermelon infused martini and my wife had the Barrow street bubbles which she loved.

I came to Duet on a whim with a friend while scrolling through the West Village one evening. My friend had been here before and said it was not bad, so I said okay and gave it a shot. We got a dozen of East and West Coast oysters, oyster shooters, Kobe Beef Sliders, and a side of brussel sprouts. The oysters did not taste particularly fresh and there were these cute, dinky Tabasco sauce bottles on the oyster plate. We had a really difficult time breaking the seal to the bottles so we gave up and just used the other sauces that came with the oysters. The oyster shooters were SUPER salty. They waiter had originally said that they contain no alcohol, which made us suspicious because there were raw eggs inside each of the shooters. We later learned from another waiter that they actually contained tequila, but we couldn’t taste it at all? I had asked for the kobe beef sliders to be cooked medium but got well done. The meat was rough and semi-dry but ironically, juices/oil kept dripping out as I ate them. The atmosphere was romantic and intimate, but I found that it was quite annoying to be so close to the 6th Ave traffic and we could feel the floor tremble from the subway running beneath the restaurant. Overall, not impressed! The food was subpar and the price range per person is in the«$$$» range(probably upwards of $ 25 – 35 person, appetizer + entrée). Also, we came across 2 waiters and 1 bus boy and none of them seem to be knowledgeable about the menu. I’d recommend going elsewhere.

They were very accomodating on a sat nite and had a table ready for us when we arrived and let us move to another table by the window because the banquet was low. Everyone was friendly and the décor was industrial chic. Music was a bit loud and it didnt go with the live music playing upstairs. The ac was on too high and you could feel the rumble of yhe train below you. I ordered the branzini which was ok and they offered brussel sprouts instead of veggies. One friend liked her miso chilean sea bass and the other enjoyed her oysters & fries. Really excellent presentation. Probably fine if you want a stimulating environment for dinner, but less attractive if you want a quiet cozy dinner in the village.

Lapin and I came here for a date night — with a LS voucher, who doesn’t love saving money… it means more money for food & drinks… err I mean for my retirement… We were seated right away as the restaurant wasn’t very packed — although, we did have a reservation. The décor is a lovely shabby chic with antiquated white windows, which look like they have insulated windows but Lapin and I were cold during dinner(this other diner had kept her jacket on all night as well). The male waiter that came to take our order was nice but I mentioned online there was a $ 100 Prix Fixe menu, he had no idea what I was talking about. The other waitress was the same thing as well. I asked how certain items were prepared as I am allergic to pork and beef and she had no idea. The service itself was mediocre at best, they didn’t check in with us, slow as molasses(couple of people who came after us ate and left before we got our entrée), ignore us a good portion of time, and left the table dirty. A reviewer mentioned that the bathroom was filthy before, but the two times I went there it was decently clean. But both times, there was no soap in the bathroom and I told the wait staff. Once again, they had no idea what I was talking about. We were served a bread basket with various types of bread with basil butter. It was tasty but some of the bread tasted stale. For appetizer, we ordered the grilled sugarcane shrimp($ 16) and the escargot puffs($ 16). The waitress tried selling us on the higher priced«daily» special on the shrimp but when I asked her a couple of questions she had no idea what it was..(it is apparently called tempura shrimp). Lapin thought his escargot was okay, but the plate they served it on was too tiny causing crumbs/flakes and him dropping his food on the table. The plate had four serving placement and each was the size of sauce plate. And on each was one soup dumpling size puff that needed at least 2 bites… He took another plate from the neighboring table and was happy after that. The shrimp I ordered was a pineapple teriyaki base sauce. I was presently surprised how much I liked grilled pineapple. Here is the fun part, I ate one shrimp(it’s dimly lighten in the restaurant) and it tasted weird and was a bit squishy(I had ordered shrimp fra diablo for lunch from another restaurant earlier in the day)…before I went ahead to my second piece of shrimp, I decided to take a look and poke it. I used my flashlight app, and to my great dismay noticed the top part of the shrimp was grey and the bottom half was pink… I guess at least half of it was cooked. I signaled the male waiter and he apologized and took it back to the kitchen. Meanwhile, I am dying of hunger and Lapin is eating his app. Finally, they bring me my appetizer, funny thing is, its the same exact plate they gave me before. Like seriously, you threw it on the grill, and gave me back my three shrimp along with my half eaten pineapple(they couldn’t even give me a new dish)?? And that took you an extra 40 minutes. For our entrée, Lapin ordered the Stroganoff($ 25) and I ordered the Grilled Branzini($ 29). Lapin thought his dish was okay but a bit weird it came with sliced pickles. My fish was a whole fish and needless to say it had a lot of bones(it was also really well done and burnt on the edges, but I didn’t mind). While eating I ended eating apparently a small cache of bones so while I pulling out the bones, I managed to pull out a long blonde brown hair. My hair is jet black, mid-length and tied up. Now, I feel like there were just messing with me. I got really annoyed and then after much arguing the«young manager» said he would remake my dish but last time I got the same food again.(He was also the same guy who insisted they don’t use raw shrimp to cook and it was impossible for me to get raw shrimp — when the other waiter acknowledge it was raw) I asked for Chilean Sea Bass($ 34). It was a small but plump piece of fish that took another 45 minutes to get to me. It came with decently tasting mash potatoes but no sauce with mash or fish. Just a piece of fish and mash potatoes on the side. Mid way, the fish was extremely hard to cut(they gave me a butter knife to use) and the fish felt a bit undercook. Lapin said it would be fine, but I am not chancing it after eating raw fish. I was soo hungry, I had to eat around it. I told them they had to comp’d us for dessert because saying«sorry» is no longer an excuse. But after starting to feel ill, I said I don’t want to see any dessert or fish anymore. The manager snarkily replied«they don’t serve fish dessert». I asked them for 2 glasses of Prosecco which was decent. I had sip and felt more sick(could be from exhaustion and an empty stomach). We waiting for another 30 minutes before we got tired and left because no one was coming to us. We still had to pay for the meal, which was pricey for the serving size, even with the bad service and mediocre taste.

Came here because they were on Gilt so decided to give a try. Glad we did so. Cute restaurant in great location. Staff was very friendly. Steak tartare was so good… it came to the table covered in a glass dome filled with smoke, then they removed the glass and the smoke disappears but the steak tartar had a very unique smokey taste. Tuna tartar cones were not my favorite part of the meal but not bad. I had the whole fish Bronzino which was delicious and my boyfriend got the skirt steak which was amazing. The steak was soft and tasty. Will definitely be back and I recommend everyone to give this place a try. UPDATEDREVIEW: Came back based on a great first experience. Very disappointed the second time around and would give it 3 stars based on this experience so I’m revising my prior review down from 5 stars to 4. Steak tartar was once again great, and you should definitely order it here. Also very good was the octopus. The steak entrée though was extremely rare and we ordered it medium. Literally couldn’t cut through it with a steak knife. Sent it back and they cooked it more and it was fine then but I really hate sending food back and rarely do it. Also unlike last time the service wasn’t good this time… waited a long time to order another drink and get water refilled.

Food isn’t bad but pricey for what it is. I was there for a weekend brunch with a Gilt City voucher. Turned out that the voucher didn’t save us much. Essentially got free drinks. Vast majority of items I saw in Unilocal photos were unavailable on the one page brunch menu, which had a very limited selection. Had Lardon salad, which was good but I’m not fully convinced i should pay entrée price for a relatively simple(even if large) frisée salad with some croutons, bacon, and champagne vinaigrette. Eggs Benedict were good but again not great value proposition. Nice trendy décor. I guess they are still ramping up so could have been an off day.

This place has potential, but is currently lacking in a lot of places. First off, the service needs a lot of fixing. Came for brunch and our waiter was very off putting and came off as very bitter. When asking for recommendations, he had nothing to say but that everything was good. I’m assuming all restaurants would say all their stuff is amazing so that was no help. He was curt and dismissive and his face was definitely frozen as he did not smile — not even once. Asked for potatoes and came salad and fries. We had to hail down another waiter which was much more sharp but he also came off as dismissive. Just this second one was a know it all I think I’m better than you kind of dismissive. I actually felt offended by the second one who kept going«Aight Alraaaight, I’ll fix it» like he was doing me a huge favor. A bad dining experience with the staff ruins the overall experience for me and that’s exactly how I felt. Food — Good, could be better. I loved loved loved the hollandaise sauce on my lobster eggs benedict, but I’m questioning the eggs. It literally looks like a hard boiled eggs with NO runny yolks like an eggs benedict should be. I’m use to having my poached runny eggs and these two eggs just didn’t do it for me. I still enjoyed my entrée for the hard boiled eggs topped with hollandaise sauce and lobster chunks that it was, but it definitely wasn’t the dish that I was expecting. Overall, I would not come here again because I don’t want my day to be ruined by unprofessional bitter people.

This place is AMAZING! Definitely my go to dinner spot and brunch spot and even for drinks. They never get too busy or crowded but they always have the right amount of people. They also always have a spot for you whether ur making last min reservations or you show up at the door. First time I went was for dinner. My friend ordered the octopus salad and l tried some and it was literally the best octopus I ever had. Even if you don’t like octopus(which I don’t), I would HIGHLY recommend. It is not chewy at all and almost melts in your mouth and its flavored really well. I ordered the skirt steak and it was cooked to a perfect medium. It came with mushroom couscous which was not my fave but that is probably because the texture of couscous kind of freaks me out but I believe you can switch it out with another side. My other friend ordered the mushroom risotto and it tasted amazing as well. All the food came out really quick which is another plus. Second time I came for brunch and brunch was just as incredible. The food came out really quick again and then have green juices! I ordered the eggs Benedict and the egg was poached perfectly that the yolk oozed out as soon as I cut through it. The interior of this place is amazing as well. White tile floors with window walls and chandeliers. The only downside(but I don’t really mind) is that it’s located over a subway line so you’ll hear and feel slight shaking but it’s not disrupting at all. Just a little funny hahaha

Love at first bite! This past weekend I went to Duet for brunch with my sisters, mom, and grandma. It was really cute inside and the servers were both friendly and knowledgable. Things I would def order again — Lardon salad, fried brussel sprout salad, tuna tartar cones. I would probably opt to pass on these and try something new — branzini, octopus salad. MUSTSAVEROOMFORDESSERT!!! The dulce de leche doughnuts are to die for! I hope to go back very soon. Yummmmm!

Been here a few times for dinner, very cute New York-ish feeling restaurant. Small but cute space, I think it’s above a subway line as the floor vibrates when the train goes by. I notice it a lot when I first sit down, but once you get chatting and start eating, you stop noticing. I feel like it gives the restaurant New York character! The service has been spectacular both times I came here, very helpful and friendly! The food — amazing! The entrees are normal, good but nothing special, but the appetizers, soooo good! Grilled Octopus Salad $ 16 If you like octopus, this is a must! Octopus is perfectly grilled and flavored. So much goodness in one dish! Burrata & Heirloom Tomato $ 14 Burrata(it’s like fresh mozzarella but creamier) with tomatoes and basil, very light, refreshing, yet delicious dish. Grilled Sugarcane Shrimp $ 16 Great to share for 2 people, comes with 4 pieces of shrimp and a slice of pineapple. Excellently prepared, very tasty and cooked well. Tip: All the entrees come with a side, if you ask, you can choose your side for no additional fee. Usually dishes come with some kind of starch, I’m a veggy person, so I was delighted that I could substitute my rice for brussel sprouts or grilled vegetables! Chilean Sea Bass $ 34 A little crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked sea bass. Minimal bones, very delicious and tender. Grilled Branzini $ 29 Great white fish that has NO bones! Comes with a lemon as well as pesto sauce! It’s a good size full fish Skirt Steak $ 28 I’m not a steak person, but I tried it and it was quite flavorful, perfectly cooked, tender and not too fatty. My friend who ordered this dish loved it. Overall, I would say this is a very cute restaurant with great vibes. Service was great. The entrees were good, but the appetizers were amazing. It is a little pricy, but the portions are good sized. I would come back here again and recommend this place to others! Both times I came, we had a lovely experience.

Deliciousness on an entirely different level! Came for brunch but added a bunch of dinner items to my order as well. Shrimp cocktail had jumbo delicious shrimp Salmon Benedict was perfect Asked to substitute skirt steak with eggs instead of the sausage and eggs in the brunch menu and received something that I’m still thinking about days later! I want more! ½ liter of beer definitely helped a bit :) I’ll be back for more. Keep the table ready…

I really want to give this restaurant 4 stars, but the service was so off and the bathroom was so disgusting, that I really need to take off 2 stars. Hopefully, they’ll get their stuff together and fix these things. The service was friendly and eager to help, just very forgetful and slow. The food was delicious and elegantly presented. We went for a Sunday brunch with friends. I had the Chef Langdon salad, it had these great polenta croutons, bacon, truffle oil and a poached egg on top. One of my friends had the chocolate pancakes, which he was raving about and another friend had the Croque Madame, which came out on a granite slab and looked/smelled amazing! The issues: Our waiter was very slow. He forgot our son’s order twice. He forgot my juice as well. We had to flag down the host to get our food made. Finally, after everyone ate, my juice and my son’s food arrived. The other issue was the filthiness of the only restroom. After many visitors, there was excess remnants of someone’s meal covering the toilet, paper towels and toilet paper strewn across the floor and sink and a very foul odor. If you’re just looking for a place to have a long and lazy brunch, this is it! The food is phenomenal and you can camp out at your table for days, since it will probably take them that long to bring you the check anyway.

I passed by this restaurant so many times and never dined here. I really wished I dined here earlier because the food is really good! Drinks: Most of the cocktails are vodka based drinks and beware that they are STRONG! I ordered Lemon Basil Martini and my friend ordered Moscow Mule. We sipped our drinks and immediately decided to wait for our food before drinking more. The drinks are good so they are more dangerous! Appetizers: — Lobster Bisque: Chunks of lobster meat in creamy based soup. It is not fishy and very smooth. — Grilled Octopus: Octopus cooked to perfection! It is very tender and good… I couldn’t stop eating it! Entrees — Kobe Burger & Fries: Solid burger. No gimmicks, no frills — just a solid average burger. — Duck Breast with Wild Rice: LOVE the duck. The duck is almost perfect! The skin is crispy and the meat is juicy. The wild rice is just plain and not very enjoyable. Dessert — Carrot Cake: Highly recommend to save room for dessert! I love the artistic presentation — it looks like carrots plant inside a pot. The soil is made of crunchy goodness and there are real mini carrots planted inside the cake — super cute and creative!

Came here for a last minute post-wedding hangover brunch for about 16 people coming in at various times. Pretty much the only place that would accommodate that kind of fiasco. Props for that. Absolutely stunning table décor — from the plates, to the glassware, to the napkin. Everything screamed«you’re going to be paying out of the ass». Not trying to go break my bank: I ordered a regular Omelette($ 12) and a coffee($ 3). Got free bread to start that comes with a phenomenal flavored whipped butter. As for the omelette, got it with cheese, spinach, and mushrooms. Great texture and easy to eat, though the mushrooms tasted a bit fishy. Not much of a complaint but was surprised by the taste. Coffee was standard, though my friends got some lattes which came with sugar crafted into the stirrer — amazing. This is certainly not a spot to go too often as the prices for normal items are high, but the presentation and atmosphere is top notch. Would love to come back to impress someone.
