We stopped by Organika for the first time before watching Luke James @SOB’s on 12/30/2016. What a lovely intimate, friendly spot with a human touch! There is something charming about this establishment as it fits well with the neighborhood. + Reasonably priced + Grandma’s favorite(pizza) + Good service + Clean + Perfect hideout

What a great restaurant! Great location and atmosphere, extremely nice staff, and wonderful food. Had the margherita pizza and it was delicious. You can tell the ingredients were all organic. Everything tasted so fresh. There is lots of great pizza in the area but it’s hard to beat the overall ambience of Organika on a nice night in the village.

not bad but not great. me and my friend split a chicken sandwich and a salmon wrap, both were good. Bloody Mary’s were STRAIGHT tomato juice, would 0⁄10 recommend. However, 1 star for our waiter Pierre because him and his man bun are eye candy.

Something has happened here. My hubs and I used to come here often and the food was always top notch. However we came in a few weeks ago and the place seems to have gone downhill. It was so hot outside but there was no AC or fans, and they kept a lamp on above our table which made the heat even worse. Service was also terrible, he waited until after we spent a bit of time looking at the menu to tell us they were out of everything we wanted. He also neglected to fill water glasses, clear away empty cups etc, and was chatting with someone the entire time. The food has also changed. Portions are smaller, flavors were missing, and the food has simply become mediocre at best. Dishes we used to enjoy were completely changed into something entirely different. We used to come here all the time, but we won’t be back.

We ended up at this spot for brunch after walking couple blocks and passing on some great brunch menu’s. It was not the menu that got is, it was the persistent and pleasant hostess(she is definitely doing her job). As for the menu — brunch menu is very limited with only few egg dishes(5) and pizza. The cocktail with our meal was ok but definitely weak and that is probably because it was part of the brunch special(even though some other NY places will not go down on their quality). Tons of other brunch options in the neighborhood — would recommend something else if I am ever on this block.

Come here time and time again for the pizza for the amazing pizza. Hits the spot every time. Their wine list is excellent and they have a sommelier working to help guide you. I recommended Organika to anyone looking for a chill place that is not over crowded or snobby like the other places around it. My favorite is the the white pizza and the hibiscus fizz.

What a cute spot! I loved sitting on the outdoor patio relaxing with my friends, people watching, and enjoying a sweet evening outdoor. We shared plates all night and got to try a variety of delicious items. My favorites were the buffalo mozzarella and the fresh burrata! Served on a fresh bed of greens, you cut yourself a slice and pair it with the delicious homemade herbed flat bread! The zum! Cheeses are delicately chosen and imported from their original place of creation in Italy and you can tell they have character. Loved it! The desserts were amazing as well! Best tiramisu of my life! Not usually a fan of tiramisu at all because of the creamy and awkward texture. Organika’s tiramisu doesn’t follow the traditional recipe! This was rich, thick and more like a slice of cake. Delectable. We also shared a chocolate cake– will make you want to sell your soul to the devil. Great experience overall, delicious traditional homemade food, great spot on the outdoor patio! Daniello is an amazing sommelier who will help you pair your delicate dishes with amazing wines! Also from Italy, he can tell you all about the delicacies served :)

Once we were seated they totally forgot about us. About 30mins to even take our drink order even though it was quiet. I had to wave down a waiter just to get our order taken. The food took 50mins to come out once we ordered. We wanted ravioli but the waiter told us they were out, then the table next to us for ravioli who sat down after us. The service is the worst I’ve ever experienced in NYC.

NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. I left this place in a terrible mood. For some reason, after being harassed on the street to look at their brunch menu, we decided to stop in for Sunday brunch. Aside from the eggplant bruschetta, the food was mediocre. The service was so incredibly slow, which was aggravating because there were only 10 people in the entire restaurant. Really terrible and slow service and bad omelettes. STAYAWAYFROMTHISDENOFSATAN.

My friend and I were looking for a spot to have brunch the morning of the Pride Parade. Organika’s outdoor seating was full but we were able to snag 2 open spots at the bar. The atmosphere was rustic and inviting, plus the brunch prices were too good to be true(I think it was $ 14.95 for an entrée and cocktail). Things went downhill pretty quickly. We were ignored by the sole waiter, as well as the bartender for 15 minutes before we asked if we could place an order. The bartender was completely flustered and seemed to have no experience. I ordered a bellini and got a look of confusion from her. I asked if she knew how to make one to which she stuttered and stammered. I quickly changed my order to a mimosa and felt her relief. My friend ordered a bloody mary which she took one sip of and was done. Onto the food, I ordered steak and eggs which was completely disappointing. All of the other plates I saw come out were beautifully presented with garnishes, then there was mine. A thin piece of overcooked steak and two eggs over easy(the bartender never actually asked how I wanted my eggs prepared). The steak was mainly fat and the eggs were okay, however both were cold by the time they were delivered. I knew the price was too good to be true! Overall a major disappointment. I couldn’t wait to get out! Such a waste of a beautiful space. I’m giving this 2 stars just because of the price. And my mimosa was fine.

There are plenty of negative reviews below, and while I did get the sense that the experience here was either a hit or a miss for most people I’m pleased to say that while not perfect, I did enjoy our visit. Maybe it was my mood, but I loved the atmosphere and they were very accommodating when I peskily kept trying to upgrade table locations — this was enough for me to pardon their average food and cocktails. We asked to be seated outdoors, and they kindly seated us in an open window and soon moved us outside when a table opened up. I am admittedly a bit of a seating hound, so when a prime spot against their«garden wall» in the sidewalk seating area became available they didn’t mind(or at least they didn’t show it — a very gracious host) when we moved again. I felt like that second move was overall key to enjoying this place. We moved into a section away from what seemed like a grumpy waiter to a very lively, fun one. He didn’t seem totally on the ball with the orders, but he was fun so I guess that made up for it. On the street, it was great for people watching, and I loved being surrounded by all of their garden décor. Their music was upbeat and fun. If you can, try and get yourself seated outdoors to the far right hand side. The tables are spaced further apart and there is more garden décor. From the cocktails we ordered, the dirty vodka martini was so-so and my date’s margarita was too sweet. We switched to wine, which was fine. We ordered the cheese plate which came with little breads — also fine. My date liked the Spring Pizza, describing it as «very fresh.» My burger was average — nothing to get excited about, but I did like the thick cut fries it came with. Ketchup was served in packets, which felt a little cheap. Again, while not everything was perfect I did enjoy our visit here and would be willing to give it a second try. Maybe a burger isn’t the best thing to order at an organic restaurant. I now know to avoid their cocktails, which is a shame because that seemed like something they considered a specialty. It was the atmosphere that truly made this place a fun spot last night.

Great pizza. Hard to beat their patio on a nice day. I ordered the Spicy. It was pleasant without being overwhelming in the spicy department. The size is just right – not too big or too small. Lorenzo, the server, was the bomb!

So we randomly stumbled upon Organika on Cinco de Mayo, since wandering around the West Village seemed like the thing to do, and we were SO happy with how the experience turned out. We waited around for a couple to leave the outside area with a bench since there were going to be five of us, and the waitstaff was SO friendly with making us a priority. The tables are a little rickity, and it took us a little while to get settled with water glasses and tableware, but they seemed a little overwhelmed with the demand that night, so I’m not going to hold it against them. The outside seating was perfect for the warm spring evening, and the place in general is so open and welcoming with fresh flowers on the tables. Long story short, we somehow convinced them to make us a pitcher of margaritas(they apparently don’t usually do that), and we got the free wine with the Unilocal deal. We were helped out by our waiter Courtney who was absolutely the BEST. He made sure we were content with everything the entire time we were there, and it was a great experience. We ordered the hummus and guacamole plate, which comes with corn chips and pita, and we also ordered the calamari in a creamy tomato sauce with vegetables, which was amazing! I highly recommend this place if you want a solid night of reasonably priced organic appetizers, great drinks, and an INCREDIBLE waitstaff.

What a waste of real estate! Bad service and mediocre food. My boyfriend and I decided on Organika to sit outside and have a glass of wine before the sunset on the first nice day of spring. That was a big mistake. To start, the server took our drink order and never delivered the drinks. When we asked if our drinks were coming he replied«oh you ordered drinks?» Next, he delivered our drinks and my wine glass had broken glass in it. I immediately pulled the broken glass from my mouth and brought it to his attn. 10 minutes later I received another glass of wine but when I asked if this was«new wine or the same wine in a new glass» I was again disappointed to learn that the server poured the broken glass ridden wine into a new glass. What?! That’s table service(and common sense) 101! I politely asked him to please pour me a new glass of Pinot Grigio. He returned 10 minutes later with a glass of prosecco! When I asked«is this is Pinot Grigio» he replied«oh I don’t know, taste it.» At this point I wanted to just leave because I was anything but relaxed. We were 30 minutes into the meal and still no beverage. I finally got my glass-free Pinot Grigio but the sun had set and was over it. We asked for the check and were delivered a bill WITH the glass of wine. Not cool!

Walked in on a gorgeous day, excited to sit on the patio. It took the waiter 3 runs to get our order: he kept getting distracted by other tables, cars, people outside, etc. Then, it took us good 20 min to get our water. The salad came without chicken, which we ordered. Food was average. We did overhear the host outside shouting«people can be such a-holes», when he found a couple of receipts on the floor after a group left. Yea, very classy.

We wandered into this place last night as our original destination had a two hour wait. The past couple times we have been out to eat, we have gone to relatively new locations — and it certainly shows. The décor and service at Organika needs some work, and they even mentioned that they are redoing part of the décor this week. It was also incredibly quiet(no music or sound of any kind) throughout most of our meal, which did not help the ambiance. Despite the issues with the décor, the food was pretty good. We started off with the Hummus & Guacamole and I had the hen for the entrée. The hen was flavorful and was served with lots of spinach and onions. My fiancée had the black linquine with shrimp, which was tasty. It’s also nice to think that everything we were eating was organic. If they can make the environment a little more appealing, it could very well become a success.

I can hardly remember what I had to eat. Because it was the drink that caught me. Hibiscus something or other. So good I had to have another. and, I think, another. Just sat, listening to live music in the corner. My companion had a salad. I think. I nibbled it. It was so good. But don’t ask me what it was. Because I was staring off, into the street, from my perfect perch inside, out. Watching the traffic make streaks of light in the night. Looking up at the loft apartments/or art studios come alive as the residents came home and turned on the lights. Yeah, good food, great vibe, chill smooth live music.

This is my go to restaurant all the time, just because it’s organic and Italian with a mix of Caribbean! The waiters/waitresses there are really attentive, the drinks there are also very good and unique. A lot of their liquors are organic as well. For starters I ordered grill calamari and the eggplant which was really good. For entrée I always order the NY strip steak!!! It’s soooo good and the chimichurri makes it so excellent. For pasta the Trenette scampi is good also, it’s black ink pasta with shrimp and asparagus. And for dessert their tiramisu is sooooo good, it just melts in my mouth. Yummmmy! If you want anything organic and tasty, this is the place to go to.

Came here with a hot date. It was an impromptu decision because we originally wanted to go to Mercadito which was a few blocks down. We were seated outside already at Mercadito when something just didn’t feel right(and this location does not serve steak on the menu). Somehow we ended up in Organika. Glad that we did because we had the best outdoor seating. It was different from the rest as it faces the sidewalk(no, it isn’t as weird as it sounds). In all fairness, it was what we both wanted. For appetizers, we got the grilled eggplant and calamari. I liked the eggplant, but I think there was too much cheese for my taste. The grilled calamari was lightly seasoned — not overpowering. For our main entrees, I had the NY strip steak — as recommended by our waitress. I REALLY enjoyed it. The chimichurri sauce went very well with the steak. It tasted a bit different from other chimichurri sauces I had in the past, but it was still very very good. My date got the bobo de camrao which was jumbo shrimp in yucca purée and palm oil served with rice and coconut milk. I could tell that he didn’t really like it and neither did I. This was also recommended by our waitress as a nice Brazilian dish. We were both a bit disappointed, actually. The shrimps were served inside a yucca bowl, which was cute. But the dish itself barely had any flavor. For an organic spot, this place was not at all bad. I cherished both of the appetizers and my steak. Oh and the caipirinha was yummy!

Came here to watch the Bosnia vs. Nigeria game and loved everything about it. Great drinks and drink specials, good finger foods, awesome service at the bar, and a really cool staff. Will be back here, at the bar, a lot more this summer. Great times, great vibes.
